"Hm?" Viro seems confused.
"The interview said that the easter egg feature was the one thing that equivalent to achieving a unique legendary class in the previous game.
When I went to the WoS HQ to claimed my rewards. I personally wanted to bring my unique legendary class to the '-Path-'.
"But the person in charge said that all the unique legendary class has been implemented and can be achieved by anyone in the game. With a different and harder requirement.
"Unlocking an easter egg will make you the first people that unlock a feature.
"The global notification will be announced and rewards related to the feature will be given to all of the players.
"The biggest reveal is that the person in charge said an example.
"If you unlock an easter egg related to adventurer classes. A limited time non-tradable reset level item will be given to all players.
"And a tradable one for the one who unlocked it," Arie explained the details about the easter egg feature.
"Hm?"
"A reset level item is the most demanded item in the game. An event that rewards a tradable reset item could be auctioned for more than $2 million." Berdian explained to Viro who was still confused.
"Ah! So that's why it gets your attention." Viro exclaimed.
"Yep and no. 99% of the players never have a chance to readjusted the stats distribution. Included us three. So, not entirely about the money aspects." Harden added.
"And with that pattern, it is logical that the guild feature will be included in the easter egg feature." Berdian throws the conclusion.
"So, you guys have a goal to be the first one who creates and unlocking the guild feature?" Viro asked.
"One of the goals, yes," Arie answered.
"Hm.. How about the guild planning you want to discuss?"
"I wanna try to discuss if we gonna split up early or just simply stick from the beginning to the end." Arie throws the problem formulation.
"I'm pretty sure that we are versatile in these aspects. Especially 'Insignifikant'. He was famous for being the one that can play in any kind of party composition," Berdian answered first.
"Nah, it's just because of the 'Shadow Paladin'." Arie chimed in.
"I guess it would be better if we are split up. I can recruit any decent PvP player. Berdian can impress anyone by his accuracy, and you can be simply being the face of the guild," Harden answered while teasing Arie.
"Hm.. so between the three of you, Big bro is the weakest in terms of skill," Viro mumbled slowly.
"Haha, no. I am just joking. He is the most versatile player you can get at your party.
At least that's what we know from the legendary 'Shadow Paladin'." Harden heard what Viro said and rephrased his words.
"So, how about you, Vi? Wanna stick with me from the beginning?" Arie asked Viro.
"Hm.. let's split up. I will tell you if I got stuck. I have a plan to play with my friends in the beginning. I will tell them that I wanna play the game seriously. Well, at first we agreed to play just for fun. But this discussion pumped me up." Viro said it with his eyes lit up.
"Okay, it's settled. Let's discuss the trivial matters that are left behind."
The discussion continued for some hours. Viro asked any trivial matter such as item grade or any tips he can get for the early levels.
They explained how weapons and armor were classified for 8 different grades.
Ranged from common to legendary. Although the highest prestigious grade is unique (legendary).
It's an item grade that can only be accessed by acquiring an item called weapon blueprint or armor blueprint.
Those blueprints are categorized as an ultra-rare item. It can only be acquired by breaking or making a high-level raid and dungeon record.
And it's not a guaranteed drop. It still competed with other items.
And since it was tradable, those item's price was so high that it could compete with an almost non-existent reset level item.
The blueprint was an item that makes you able to design your own item and submitted it before being considered and approved by the game.
Since in the previous game, there was no blacksmith to make weapons and armors. It was the best item to design your own unique weapon.
Arie and his character 'Insignifikant', has a weapon that became the most unique item in the game.
His weapon, 'Counterfeiter' was a parma type shield that could be mechanically changed to a sword.
Many players who have the blueprint tried a lot of times to make the same style weapon but comes to no avail.
And revealed that those kinds of weapons could only be created if you were met the requirement. Which is Insignifikant's class, Shadow Paladin was the important requirement needed
The class had the ability to play any role. Arie could be a tank, had a melee combat ability, and could also be a backline supporter that had high mobility.
'Counterfeiter' satisfied some of the requirements. It could be a shield for a vanguard and a sword for melee combat.
A lot of collectors named their price for this weapon.
But unfortunately, once the blueprint became a weapon or armor, it became a bound item and untradable.
Besides the trivial matters. There were also about why they recruit Viro, a very inexperienced person compared to these top-ranked players.
Those 3, Arie, Harden, and Berdian love sharing, discussion, and experiments.
And within their discussion, they had a goal to support a newbie.
With a lot of calculations, they would try it not from a very scratch and random player.
Arie suggested Viro as their first. Viro, in this case, became a lab rat.
Viro had a decent athletic ability, game knowledge, and high motivation to found new things.
Thus, it became the best candidate.
And they also began to chat about how the other two met Arie and about some of the personal matters.
Harden was a PvP maniac. He spent the entire late game content in the arena. He observed whatever happened in the arena.
And he found Arie when he played ranked battle in the arena.
Although he never officially battled him in the arena, Arie's control and combat ability were top-notch.
Well, 'Insignifikant' was a rank 8 PvE and top 200 PvP player in the continent.
The only one in the world that has two top 200 rank titles in the leaderboard.
Berdian was the same with Arie in PvE matters. Arie was a PvE player that almost never sticks with one party.
He could play in any team composition and even lead any random party he met.
Berdian on one side was the most consistent main DPS you could get from a random player you want for your party.
The first time he met Arie at a random party, they cleared a brand newly released dungeon and set a high record that cannot be broken for 2 months in the game.
Arie himself found Berdian quite interesting. At that time, Arie played with his specialize class, 'Boundaries Priest'. A class that well verse in debuffing enemies and provided crowd control to the party.
Berdian played as an 'archer'. A base class for ranged physical damager. When almost all the specialized classes took the spotlight at the level cap at that time.
Berdian consistently included as top damager in the dungeon scoreboard.
It came from how precise his shot.
In the Ranker's Quest, any hit to the vital and weakness spot will always result in critical damage.
And Berdian's 'LetmeBe' at those times, despite his lower damage compared to the specialized classes, has consistently perched on the peak damager board in any random party composition.
Till now, Arie has been friends with Berdian for 4 years in real life and 2 years with Harden.
As Viro got to know more and much closer with the two of them, The sky has started to get dark.
"Let's back home, Vi."
"Okay, I can't wait to start playing the game."
"Okay Berd, pay for us," Arie said while pointing at a stack of noodle bowls.
"Huh? You are not paying for the food? I haven't met you for a long time and you became this stingy."
"Let me pay the bill, Uncle Den." Viro gives about $5 to Harden. The expected price of the instant noodles they ate.
"Thanks for the delicious food. We will surely visit again next time." He added.
After the sibling left the restaurant. Berdian glance at the 5$ bill and began to chuckle.
"What an interesting kid."
"Hm?"
"I'm pretty sure he didn't realize that the food's prize isn't that cheap. Isn't it?"
"Don't worry, consider I'm the one who treats you guys this time."
"And he also called you Uncle Den." Berdian laughed out loud.
"Well, from a perspective of a 16 years old, it's understandable."
"I just didn't expect that I have a friend that has been called uncle."
"Yeah, I'm not even thirty yet," Harden said with a sighed.
"Asides from the trivial matters. I don't know how good he is yet in the game. But I have my expectation raised a bar."
"Well, in my perspective he's not a complete newbie. He has a good understanding and also a fast learner."
"Well, we can expect something from him."
...
As the countdown became closer and closer. The games forum heated.
Any discussion came out with different replies and responses.
Adventurer and Civilian classes unexpectedly became a top discussion.
A lot of people said that a pure civilian class was not recommended as the main resources of the game comes from killing monsters
And the arguments come from many different perspectives. An argument stated that a civilian class as in the trailer, chef, and blacksmith should've had a higher value.
It stated that to repair high-grade equipment it's best to assume that we'll need a high-grade blacksmith.
And the resources to become the best blacksmith required a pretty different time management than the adventurer classes.
For the chef, it was assumed that high-class food will grant a high tier buff for the adventurer's party.
And since The Capsule can simulated taste in the game to our brain. Good food in the game was also needed for the best experience.
Thus, the forum tried harder to promote the game to the professionals.
And when the forum has reached its peak in traffic. The forum exploded.
WoS as the publisher, and Ranker's Quest as the game developer, more known to the people as The RQ, uploaded a scheduled video.
The video was revealed to be able to play in 30 minutes.
Any discussion changed abruptly. The forum's focus shifted quickly to the videos.
"Don't tell me it's an announcement of the game being delayed."
"And they create a 30 minutes wait to the reveal?"
A lot of people worried that the game launched will be delayed.
They started to gather the mob.
They announced that they will make a riot if it was really an announcement about the released delay.
But that's how people's power work.
All of them who wait for the game release has swiftly changed direction with just a video.
Arie and Viro who had already at home also surprised by the video.
"What is this!?"
"WoS seems very tricky huh? The information regarding the easter egg has only revealed two days ago.
"And now they tried to throw another bomb. What do you think Vi?"
"I don't know much about WoS and how they usually work. But, is there no possibility that it is only a 'welcoming' video?"
"Well, all this time they revealed videos related to 'Path', it's only been about the game content.
"We can just wait for the video to reveal itself." Arie shrugged.
After the wait for some minutes. The countdown came close.
The video began to play with a premier live feature.
The first words written in the video are 'Welcome to The World of Greylhad'.
It revealed a scenery of land with its content. With the words gradually disappeared, a beautiful landscape appeared.
As compared to the previous game, '(Earth)' was best described as a wasteland.
It showed how vast the difference between the two games.
After the scenery revealed for about 30 seconds. The screen gradually turned black with the words from before, revealed again.
'Welcome to The World of Greylhad'.
"It really is a 'welcoming' video."
Arie and Viro looked at each other.
