The Ancient Elf High Priestess sighed lightly, "The great dragon was enraged, as he'd once again lost one of his companions, what more to an old enemy. Even the planet's core was devoured by the evil entity. Just based on his observations, the escaped portion of the entity had consumed enough planets to match the power of his fallen companions. While that alone did not scare him, as he was always far stronger than them, it did make him wary."
Uilos's magic shaped more scenes to complement her words, all without missing a beat as she spoke, "Aeranus had several solutions, but each had problems. He alone could crush the entity, but it used spatial tunnels in its conquering, making it harder for him to trace where they ended. He did not wish to destroy Bardor's planet, as it was all that was left of his brother-in-arms. He could not descend onto Andor's planet, as it would not be able to withstand his mere presence for too long. Even his will was too strong to actively interact with anything. As such, he needed to formulate a good plan, and I happened to be the best person with which he could do so, seeing as I'd firsthand experienced the fall of Bardor's planet and could perceive events in the future to some extent. Through our combined intellects, we came to a few decisions."
"The first decision involved Aeranus himself. He would watch over both planets, though Andor more than Bardor, and monitor any demonic energy locations, which he would inform us of in the event of any changes. As he had no kin, he used some of his life force to create the Dragon Clan, who would be his envoys. Unfortunately, they were too similar to their creator, eventually becoming arrogant as he was in his youth and believing themselves to be superior to other mortals save for us Ancient Elves. Even their Dragon Kings ignored his will, knowing that he could do nothing to them without harming the planet in the process. The only time they actually did anything was during the Heroic Era war, as it would harm their interests." This information surprised those who had witnessed Luca's memories of the previous timeline. If the Dragon Clan was really as Elensell had described, then it was no wonder that they fell so quickly. Most people believed the great draconic beings to be protectors of the planet, as that was what was told of them originally. For them to be so arrogant as to ignore their own creator, such a clan was fortunate to even continue existing.
"The second decision involved we Ancient Elves. We used our people to expand our scope of control, which we would use to create numerous pieces of the great overarching puzzle. The first Sages of your Andorian natives gained their knowledge from the legacies we had left behind, save for a handful. Specifically, the Four Sages of Magic, as we had no magic on Bardor, learned everything through their own hard work. After laying down the evolutionary framework for some of our kin, who volunteered to be left behind and sacrifice their Bardorian heritage and become Andorians to shape the new Elven races, we enacted the phase of the plan where we separated from the mainland, leaving only the relics of our empire behind. Even those that stayed behind willingly chose to have their Bardorian identities, memories included, wiped from their minds so as to ensure their new lives had no true connection to their pasts. The only exception to this is Uilos, who was informed of his past identity after awakening his new powers. He does not have any of his former life's memories, as they were fully destroyed."
She sighed, "I knew many of them personally. I believe only one still exists, technically. The sprout of Yggdrasil, Haoma. There was one of the first-gen with a power very close in strength to mine, Naturakinesis or Nature Manipulation. She was able to control anything and everything related to nature, with some limitations, either based on her power or by her own morals. As she wanted to exist long enough to witness our plan come to fruition, she sought ways to extend her lifespan. While she technically did not find her original goal, she discovered her power's greatest secret ability, which she herself named Natural Unity. Giving up her mortal body, she assimilated herself with Haoma, becoming one with it. Thankfully, Yggdrasil knew of her love for nature and allowed it to happen, otherwise, she would have failed. She did all of this prior to the identity wiping, mind you, so she still possesses her true identity, though I believe she now has chosen her current one over her former one seeing as she has forgone her physical connection to we Ancient Elves."
"With that minor tangent out of the way, there is the third decision we came to. Only two ways to defeat the evil entity could be used: going through the spatial tunnel to the entity's true body or by drawing it to Andor. The latter option is the least possible, as it never sent its true body in the Heroic Era war, presumably due to the now awakened presence of Aeranus. As such, we focused on the former, which would not be viable without someone strong enough to handle the mission. This led to us formulating a plan to create, for lack of a better term, a hero through which we could complete this mission. Several such heroes were born through our machinations over the millennia, though few survived into adulthood. Of those that did, only one achieved any great strength. You Andorians might know him as the Dragonslayer. He is undoubtedly the most successful of our heroes and wholeheartedly yearns to protect Andor, even after we told him the truth of how he came to be. Such a man is truly one-of-a-kind. Still, just one was not enough, and the Dragonslayer was not capable of doing anything substantial to the evil entity alone."
"So we needed an even better hero."
