Chapter 25 - Giving Up?

The steward carefully turned around after hearing the young girls voice.

There was a certain degree of fear that was apparent in his eyes as he cautiously asked the young lady "Yes Miss?" Don't know why but the steward was kind of afraid of a young child who was only a third his age.

"Close the door and come in," Athena said in a toneless voice.

The steward complied.

Xuan was glad that Helen was here, otherwise, things would turn very awkward.

Athena had stopped doing her homework, she opened a black case to find a laptop inside, she found the laptop quite heavy and different. But afterward, it hit her the laptops in her dream of the future was thin and light.

She quickly opened up the laptop with some similarities, she went tested some features on the laptop making some adjustments in the settings. The steward and Helen were both shocked, laptops were famous and only a few could afford them. But some people also found a laptop and other devices quite complicated.

"Wow, sis you are so cool, you know how to use this device," Athena exclaimed with adoration.

Athena smiled with the compliment.

The steward was more shocked, he had never seen Athena smile; like genuinely smile.

Athena opened the web went through some procedure and was now looking at the stock market.

"Steward Xuan, pass me your bank account card," Athena said, not taking her eyes off the screen.

The butler followed her request and handed her his card.

"You have deposited the money, I gave you inside this card right?" Athena asked.

"Yes, the change was of $534.68. There was a sale, so it was cheaper than expected." The steward replied.

Athena was multitasking- ash she listened to the steward, she quickly put in the bank account details of the card and transferred all of the '$534.68' on the stock market account.

(A/N: I am just a teenager who is studying science, so don't know all of this works. Could not find it through research.)

"Do you want to look?" When Athena had turned her head towards the two she noticed, their curiosity.

As if afraid would change her mind, the pair quickly went toward the table that Athena was situated at. They looked at the screen.

Helen was confused at what it was, she had never seen anything like this before.

But the steward had worked in the stock exchange market for a very long time-together with Helen's grandfather.

He was also sometimes responsible for the management within the company and was very well aware of the financial market.

"Miss are you sure you want to invest in this company they haven't been doing well for the past week." Xuan was concerned about the young lady. "Miss you should not put all your money into this company."

"I know what I am doing, they have been having issues with the company's production process. But don't worry, they will be able to climb up the charts by tomorrow."

"I have a gut feeling" Athena added after detecting the steward's doubt.

Honestly, it was not a gut feeling, more like she got a strand of memories while she was talking to the unknown man during school. It was weird, but she kind of ignored that information.

She knew she had to make money and she worked on her insistence, but the shock of pain, which Athena had gotten forms her mother had given her another strand of memories.

Working with her existence she decided to invest in the company.

Might as well try her luck.

"Anything else, steward Xuan." Athena finished her task on the computer.

"No, young lady, I shall take my leave." The steward curtly replied.

"Bye, grandpa Xuan. Make sure to eat something, you probably did not have lunch yet. We will study for a while." Helen said as she directed granda Xuan to the door.

The steward was extremely pleased and touched by Helen's concerns. He smiled cheerfully as he walked down the stairs to get something for himself to eat.

He wanted a break, because of how stressed and annoyed he was. Maria the 'mistress' of the household, she just could not stop bossing him around. The steward was extremely displeased and tired, by her attitude.

He was also tired of arranging all these things she wanted to do, change the furniture-the living room. New decor-like why.

On the other hand, the girls inside the room had started working again.

Helen wanted to ask her sister about the schemes and ideas- she was curious. But she knew her sister would not tell her. It was also probably better if she did not know.

But she was curious.

In the end, she remained quiet and focused back on her work.

Athena, on the other hand, was trying to create her empire.

She was researching the top artists- the artist with potential and many other things. That did nothing but gave her a huge headache.

"Why was she even doing this?" Athena mumbled to herself. She wanted to give up, rather now than later. But this business could be a stepping stone for her.

Another hour passed, then another.

After 2 hours of shuffling through homework and business preparation.

"Sister, I am done with everything- it's just I need help with some math work," Helen said cheerfully, interrupting Athena's focus.

"I did not go to school for a few months before the holiday started-because of my mother's death." Helen's voice was only getting softer and weaker. "But I have caught up with mainly all of it," Helen said transitioning into her cheerful mode.

She had done and finished her work quite a while ago, but noticing her sister's intense focus- she did not want to disturb her.

Athena smiled and asked her to come forward.
