A week has passed, which means the third years' school trip is today. Keita entered the student council room to prepare for his job. He packed his belongings, and looked at his phone.
"Oh, good morning Keita-kun." Kamika entered the room shortly after.
"It would be our first school trip event this year huh?" Kamika added.
"Yeah, experiencing it before the others." Keita chuckled.
"I hope we get to learn more about each other, Keita." Kamika said.
"Other than you trying to put me in a rival position? That is new." Keita jokingly said.
"No... I don't do that anymore." Kamika said.
"Hey, don't say that. We can still compete if you want to." Keita said.
"I see... I'll take you up on that." Kamika said. She let out a gentle smile as she sinks her thoughts on the words he said.
"Good morning, the two of you." Ogura-sensei appeared at the door.
"Good morning, sensei." Kamika and Keita greeted.
"We'll need to be ready in 10 minutes, make sure you're at the assembly site before then." Ogura-sensei said before she left the room.
"Kei-kun!" Kanade popped her head into the room.
"Kana-nee, long time no see." Keita wraps up his work and picked up his bag.
"That was mean, but I can't say that you weren't busy in the meantime." Kanade said.
"Isn't Mio-senpai with you?" Keita asked.
"I-I'm here..." Mio is hiding behind the doorframe.
"Come on! Don't be shy all over again!" Kanade dragged Mio into the room.
"Ah-" Mio is now a few steps away from Keita.
"Good morning, Mio-senpai." Keita said.
"W-who is that girl..." Mio asked.
"Oh, this is Fujioka Kamika, she will also be on the trip with me as the student rep." Keita said.
"I wonder why would they choose the first years to take over the student council like this..." Kanade pondered.
"I remember the previous student council took over when they are all first years too." Mio said.
"Must take a lot of work to get their recognition." Kanade commented.
"I can't say we didn't do anything to get their attention..." Keita glooms.
"You're right, without your interference, I wouldn't be here at all." Kamika said.
"It was Shinosuke-senpai's request, I can't refuse him after all." Keita said.
"Ehehe! That means Kei-kun is a very kind person!" Kanade said with pride.
"I agree with that..." Mio added.
"Same here." Kamika added.
"Then the fact I'm a kind person is established..." Keita accepted.
"Good morning! Is this some secret harem making ceremony?!" Itsuki marched in.
"Wow, I'm gonna kill this man for a minute." Kanade said.
"Wai- no, no!" While Itsuki's screams can be heard in the background, Keita checks the clock, it's almost time.
"Time to go, Fujioka-san." Keita said. Kamika nods and they picked up their bags and walked out of the room.
"Itsuki, I leave the key to you, please give it to Ayumi." Keita said as he walked out.
"See you after the trip ends, Mio-senpai, Kana-nee." Keita said before he left.
"Have a safe trip..." Mio said.
"Phew, can't she come earlier?" Itsuki thought to himself while being pulverized by Kanade's power abuse.
"Not gonna talk to Mikoto-san before we go?" Kamika said.
"I'm sure she will show up on our way there." Keita said.
"You're awfully confident here, are you a psychic?" Kamika asked.
"No, I'm not." Keita, amused with her jokes, laughs.
"Seems like you're now very different than middle school." Kamika tilted her head as she looks at Keita intently.
"Don't stare at me like that." Keita said, unfazed.
"There must be someone or something that changed you." Kamika said.
"I can't deny that." Keita said.
"Heeh... Let me guess, Mikoto-san...?" Kamika's expressions appears to be mischievous.
"..." Keita became silent.
"Wow, I got it right on my first try." Kamika said.
"So, do you like her? Or you are into older girls like the senpais from the room just now?" Kamika turned excited.
"Older girls? What are you two talking about?" Ayumi overheard their conversation as she meets up with Keita and Kamika.
"Good morning, you surprised me." Keita greeted.
"Good morning, Kei-kun!" Ayumi said gleefully.
"Oh, you really came." Kamika said.
"Good morning to you, Fujioka-san." Ayumi greeted.
"Ah right, good morning, Mikoto-san." Kamika said.
"We're about to meet up with them, I'll leave the duties to you alright?" Keita said.
"Of course! Ehehehe... Oh no! I'm late to my own meeting!" Ayumi giggled but reminded herself that she is late to a meeting she asked for a day before. She runs off to the direction of the student council room, waving back as she runs.
"I wonder if she is in love with you." Kamika said, with judging eyes.
"I don't know..." Keita said, facing away with his cheeks blushing.
"Never thought I'd be able to see this side of you." Kamika teased.
"What side do you expected to see from me?" Keita asked.
"A stoic, practical person that deems relation with others unnecessary." Kamika said.
"That was before... A misunderstanding happened, and it was answered. Although I still do not remember the details, Ayumi and I had a past together. We were separated until now." Keita explained.
"Seems like there is more stories to tell between the two of you huh?" Kamika said.
"She was sick, and never has gotten better. She returned here because of me. As far as I understand from Kurosaki-san, she is being tangled up in the threads of fate." Keita said.
"I don't really get occult stuff..." Kamika complained.
"Neither do I, but after partaking Shinosuke-senpai's plan and witnessing such a phenomenon, I am not sure anymore. Supernatural happenings, gods, demons, and so on... I wonder if we humans, are all living on our own free will?" Keita said.
"You are right... I was taught to carve my own path in life, and make myself the most excellent person in the crowd. I too, wonder if my own free will is in any part of this life I have been walking through." Kamika said.
"The philosophical talk sure takes our time, we're here." Keita said. they walk towards the assembly area and started working on their duties.
