Ding! The automatic chime went off as Mike opened the door for Chelsea. "Welcome to Cold stone creamery how can we help you today?" A slightly round and bald middle aged man cheerfully shouted from behind the counter. "Uhmmm I want a double scoop of chocolate ice cream in a chocolate dipped and butter finger coated waffle cone." Chelsea said after making her way to the counter. "Any toppings?" the man asked as he turned his back to grab the cone in question. "Marshmallows Graham cracker crumbles and peanut butter sauce!" Chelsea replied while hopping up and down giddily.
The man took two scoops of ic cream and slapped them down on the cold plate before taking a gloved fistful of Graham crackers and marshmallows and mixing it all together. After putting one scoop in the cone he drizzled some of the peanut butter sauce before plopping the other scoop in and coating it heavily in sauce. "Aaand for you sir?" The big man asked as he handed Chelsea her ice cream cone.
"Double scoop of strawberry ice cream in a plain waffle cone add gummy bears.." Mike replied while taking out his wallet. "Coming right up!" A short moment later Mike and Chelsea walked out of the ice cream store and sat on a bench nearby while eating their frozen treats. They ate in silence for two minutes before Chelsea decided to try breaking the ice "Soooo... gummy bears?" "I only like them in ice cream cause they get hard when they're cold.. You enjoying your peanut butter S'mores?" "Only thing that could make it better is if they had toasted marshmallows." "Mhmm.."
The two finished their ice cream in silence and Mike started chuckling before using a napkin to wipe Chelsea's chin. "Ha ha very funny you have some on your face too." Chelsea said as she reached for a napkin. before she could wipe his check though Mike used his tongue to get it.. "... You can't give me one win can you?" "Nope.. wanna hit Dollar tree and buy candy on the cheap before we go to the theater?" "Great idea! let's go."
Mike and Chelsea eventually made their way to the movie theater with her bag full of sour strawz™ and M&Ms™. "Two tickets to Spider-Man far from home please." After Mike purchased the tickets and popcorn they made their way to the designated auditorium...
~Tom's house~
The two couples were sitting on separate couches while watching Futurama™ when suddenly an alarm went off on Tom's phone.
"Ok so who's house am I dropping y'all off at?" Tom asked after cutting the alarm off. Larry and Vic looked at each other for a moment before playing rock paper scissors... "We'll go to Vic's house." Larry decided as the winner. "Uuugh! but your parents let me do whatever I want!" Vic moaned as she made her way to the Jeep. "True but we have to stay in the living room and watch 'Live P.D.' The whole time.. at least your dad lets us pick the channels as long as I promise to cook." Larry replied.
"You coming with Mari?" Tom asked as he was heading to the door. "Nah I think I'm gonna stay here and rummage through your stuff." Mari answered cheerfully. "... One sec guys I'll be right there!" Tom shouted to Larry and Vic before going to his bedroom and locking the door. "Have fun." Tom said as he left to go drop Vic and Larry off at her house.
Mari sat on the couch and made sure Tom's Jeep was down the driveway before lazily stretching. "Does he seriously think that was gonna be enough to stop me?" Mari mused to herself as she made her way to Tom's door. After jiggling the door knob for a second Mari went into Richard's study. A short search and Mari found a paper clip, she instantly made her way to Tom's work space and found a precision flat head screwdriver..
Several seconds later Mari was in Tom's room, but instead of rifling through his dresser drawers she just snagged a book off his desk. "The modern Prometheus.. hmm nope.. Mari put the book back and opened Tom's closet. She first looked on the top shelf and was pleasantly surprised "OMG!!! He has Zoids!! and Gundam.. are those bionicles... What the Hell he's been holding out on me.." Mari started rummaging around in the boxes beneath his clothes and found some of his old Halloween costumes.
After pulling out a kids sized Sub-Zero outfit she started walking down memory lane "I remember that year.. Larry dressed up as scorpion and Mike was mad because he wanted to be reptile but his dad made him dress up as Chucky.." After some more poking around Mari put everything back in place when she turned around she came face to face with a pair of bright blue eyes.
"F∆¢k!.. oh sorry Mrs. Lanier.. Umm I'm dating your son now? It's still really new though so no promises on grandbabies.. I know he misses you very much even if he won't say it, He doesn't really smile much anymore either.. I mean he does but it's only when he's playing a prank on people, or when he wins a video game, and sometimes he has a weird smile when he's talking to his robots.. but it's not the same.. I promise I'm going to try and make him smile more often, real smiles.." Mari grew quiet after running out of things to say "Anyways I'll try and see if I can get him to put your picture somewhere you can see the sun every once in a while, it was nice talking to you again.. uh bye."
A couple minutes later and Mari was smoking a joint on Tom's bed while flipping through a few of his schematics for possible robot designs. Suddenly she heard tires rolling down the drive way, Mari jumped up and put most the stuff back in place before locking the door and leaving Tom's room.
Tom walked in the door and the first thing he noticed was that Mari was nowhere in sight.. ".. seriously?.." Tom muttered as he began walking around the house looking for her. She wasn't in his dad's study or the basement. The kitchen and bathroom were empty, and his door was still locked so she wasn't in there...
The only place left was his personal workshop, as Tom opened the door the first thing he noticed was his old Shield liger the second thing he noticed was Mari in the bikini she bought at Carowinds! "Hi Tom.." Mari said in an attempt to be sexy.
