Chapter 20 - FINDING MINJU 2

'sometimes in life, we don't really value what we have till it's gone, leaving us with nothing but regret. We take people for granted not knowing their value until its too late.

Thick smoke covered the sky. The scent of blood filled the air. A big trailer was on one side of the road upside down, a luxury car was damaged beyond recognition. Siren and an ambulance could be heard from afar. A man covered in blood looked helplessly at the once beautiful woman but was now beyond recognition lying motionless on the ground. He looked down and could see her lifeless hand protecting him. At this moment, he cried. He cried silently. He tried calling her but couldn't find the energy to. He looked at her once beautiful pair of icy blue eyes were red smiling gently at him. Her long beautiful platinum hair was dyed red with blood. He remembered her promise nineteen years ago.

_______FLASHBACK 19 YEARS AGO____

He caressed her face lovingly cupping it in his hands, "I love you so much, Aurora, I won't hesitate to die for you".

The girl quickly used her hands to cover his mouth, "Don't ever say that kind of thing, I love you so much too and I would rather die with you than to live without you, King, you mean the whole world to me and I'm so happy to have the most handsome man for myself".

He cried bitterly, "You really left me Aurora". He managed to say. He wanted to caress her soft cheeks that's already so pale but couldn't move. He could smell the fuel leaking from their overturn car but he couldn't move to leave. He remembered how he mistreated her and abused her. He felt like hanging himself for doing that to her. He wanted so desperately to hear her beautiful angelic voice again. He could feel that her body temperature was so cold now. Looking at that pair of lifeless icy blue eyes that held no regret, he felt his heart being squeezed tightly. He regretted everything now. He really did. He regretted hitting her, abusing her, insulting her, disrespecting her. He regretted everything now as he stared at her. She gave her everything to him but in the end look what he repaid her with... Pain. He ruined her, he took her smile and happiness. He deserves to be punished severely. She used to be always joyful and playful, but for a long time, he's never seen her smile. She walks around with lifeless empty eyes.

"God please, don't take her away from me, I'll really change for the best just for her... Please". He prayed silently. He never believed that there was a God out there, but now for the first time, he's putting his trust in him. He could finally see the paramedics and police here trying to get them out of the car.

"The car is gonna explode soon! Hurry!"

He heard someone faintly say. He could feel someone lifting him out of the car. His head felt so heavy and he couldn't see clearly again. The last thing he heard before entering darkness was a loud explosion.

'AURORA!' That was all he could manage to say before succumbing to darkness.

A girl with purple hair walked tiredly on the street. She was feeling scared and lonely. She sat tiredly on a bench under the streetlight exhausted. She remembered two years ago and became more scared. Ever since that incident, she's been afraid of the dark. She sighed and stared into space.


"Beating up those trash was not easy". She sighed. Right now she's mentally and physically exhausted. She curled herself up in the bench shivering from cold and fear. Right now she was very sensitive and ready to attack to protect herself. She thought of her brother and how devastated he must feel looking for her. She thought about Yonna and how she must be blaming herself for her condition. She thought about all the worried looks on her friends.

She initially went to the club but was unable to find the boys or the waiter. She knew it was that bitch but she couldn't find any evidence.

"I have to go". She tried standing up but fell back down on the bench tired. Her head was aching and she felt dizzy. She could feel herself slowly falling into darkness. She tried to fight it but couldn't. At the end she gave up and embrace the darkness collapsing on the bench.

Leonardis searched endlessly for her but still yet no result. He could only blame himself for what happened. If he had listened to her, he would have known the truth but rather he allowed his anger to consume him. He remembered when he first saw her, he was mesmerised by her beauty. She felt like a breath of fresh air after the death of his mother. He actually started getting closer to her and was not always on guard when he was with her. She was so different from the rest girls he knew. She was stubborn and strong-willed, always straight forward. Even though he treated her badly she never ran away rather she keeps coming close to him. He could remember her expression when he dragged her out of the mansion. He could never forget her pleading eyes and disappointed gaze. Thinking of all this, he angrily punched the table breaking it instantly.

In Yonna room,

Yonna found herself tied up in a dark alley. Then she heard someone open the door, only to see Minju hurrying to her and untying her. She was running with Minju when suddenly she was pushed away. She turned back seeing a lifeless Minju covered with blood. There was a bullet hole in her chest. Blood flowed out endlessly dyeing everywhere red. She held her hands but couldn't find any pulse.

"MINJU!!" she shouted and opened her eyes to discover it was just a dream. She covered herself crying knowing it was a remembrance of that day two years ago.

"Minju... Please....be safe". She said crying. If anything happens to her again she knows this time Minjun will never forgive her. She kept crying feeling hopeless and blaming herself. It's already been four days without finding Minju anywhere and she's scared.

Outside her room, Minjun stood motionless clenching his hands. He could hear her crying and wanted to comfort her but he didnt. He turned back and left. He could remember how he almost lost angel. Remembering it all, he left the mansion with a bike, determined to find Minju no matter what. Dead or alive.
