Chapter 48 - Destroying the Time Machine at Town K (Part 2)

Mono had handled the tugging of the wire and the pressing of the red Button issue at Town I and Town J. Here also as at earlier places, he was surrounded by a few Orbs. He then pulled the wire with his left foot and pressed the red button with his right hand.

The Time Machine experiment at Town K was a similar magnitude, in fact, an exact replica of the Time Machines they had already destroyed. As expected in the last three Time Machine experiments, a lot of sparks were emitted by the machines and the huge brain. The huge brain with a lot of noise shriveled up to the size of a tennis ball. Here also all the machines stopped functioning and a white cloud engulfed them. Soon the cloud subsided but the machines were destroyed beyond repairs. The two telephone booths like containers were destroyed too and shattered glass could be seen all over the inside as if an implosion had occurred. These were now impossible to be used. The computer terminals which were wired to the brain had also burnt up.

"Some of the Orbs went over the shriveled up brain to welcome the Orbs that would escape from it. A cracking sound was heard from the shriveled brain and here also 25 blobs of white light came out. About 15 Orbs, 5 from Town M, 5 from Town I and 5 Town J moved to the shriveled brain to receive them. These 15 Orbs communicated with the Orbs that had come out from the shriveled brain for about 10 minutes and these 25 Orbs joined the 125 Orbs. Now there were a total of 150 Orbs comprising 75 from Town M, 25 from Town I, 25 from Town J and the most recent 25 from Town K. Those were a lot of Orbs. This meant that there would be approximately 25 more orbs from the abandoned Town L which they were yet to visit.

It was apparent that these 150 Orbs were very happy to see their relatives and friends so they all were dancing around each other with joy. They were meeting each other who had been trapped in the huge brain here and in the other towns. There was a strange humming type of sound emitting from the excited Orbs which were jumping about.

This time Mono did not have to tell the Orbs to ensure everything was destroyed including the dead brain contained the first brain around which the Time machine experiment had been built. The Orbs seem to know by instinct what they were expected to do. Maybe they were communicating among themselves and had conveyed the required information.

They moved around with lightning speed throughout the entire cave raising electric current and sparks of electricity to hit at all the computer terminals. Soon the computer terminals were burnt beyond recognition. The shriveled brain was also injected with a dose of electric current by a few of these Orbs in a combined exercise. As a result, the shriveled brain was burnt up beyond recognition.

Mono again remembered about the Time Machine experiment at Town M. They had destroyed the Time Machine and the brain but had not to the extent it was destroyed in the other towns. This was a strategic folly on their part and needed to be corrected. Any hints left behind would make another Administrator or mad scientist embark on this Time Machine project. They would need to take care of this matter when they went back. It would be the first thing they would do before embarking on the mission to free the freedom fighters who had been jailed in Town M as well as the scientists who had revolted against the making of the Time Machines.

They would do this as soon as they landed in the tunnel at Town M. They would have many Orbs to do this and all of them would feel immense pleasure in destroying all that torturous stuff. No one should start to make such a horrendous thing again.

Mono asked Juan, his grandfather, and Echo, his father to ascertain from the 25 Orbs of Town K to ensure that no blueprint or designs of the Time Machine remained anywhere in the vicinity.

The two Orbs asked those 25 Orbs telepathically and they got a response that all the terminals were destroyed. Some old computers were kept in the storeroom. They would light up a controlled electric shoot there too. The group saw the Orbs leaving for a similar area where there was a similar door of a storeroom. Again it was a déjà vu thing.

Soon there was a lot of hissing noises as the Orbs aimed electric current at all the dumped terminals in the storeroom. In front of their eyes everything was destroyed, actually charred beyond recognition. Now, everything about the Time Machine experiment was completely destroyed at Town I, Town J and Town K.

The 25 Orbs came back after their work was completed. The feeling one got was that they were very happy to destroy the entire set up of this awful experiment.

The Orbs were conveying something to the Orbs of Mono's grandfather and father. This telepathic conversation went on for about 15-20 minutes. Mono was not looking pleased.

After the Orbs had finished, Luke looked at Mono and raised his eyebrows in a questioning manner. "What happened? What information have the Orbs conveyed to you that you are looking perturbed?" He asked.

Mono replied, "They have told me something very disturbing. Actually, Town L had finalized the Time Machine experiment and they were doing trial runs by trying to send inanimate things from one telephone booth to the other. At first, they sent the plate and cup. The experiment went through but the writing below the cup and plate came in reverse as if it was a mirror image. Meaning that the cup and plate atoms were energized but they did not reassemble properly but as the mirror image of the cup and plate. Thank God they did not put the two together otherwise the atoms of the cup and plate would have got mixed up and who knows there would have been a half plate attached to half a cup or something.

They did some corrections and tried to send a few plants, as a single leaf, then flower(s), then the whole plant. These things disappeared and reassembled in the receptive telephone booth without any issue. The scientists were happy so they now wanted to try sending animals across. At first, they sent a mouse which did not reassemble. A squeak was heard in the air as mouse atoms dispersed in the air. Then a cat was sent. But even the cat did not reassemble. A meow was heard as the cat atoms dispersed in the atmosphere. This had upset the scientists. Whatever it was, though animals but these animals had a life too.

The Administrator had come once and was very angry with the setback in the experiment. He got hold of one of the scientists and pushed him into the energizing telephone booth. The scientist did not reassemble in the receptive telephone booth. Everyone was shocked. The Administrator wanted to avoid being blamed. To avoid criticism and being labeled as a killer, he got rid of the entire Time Machine experiment at Town L. Now no one goes there so we have to be very careful when we reach Town L.

"Okay everyone," Mono called everyone. "All the 150 Orbs too, we need to proceed to the Jail area."

"The Orbs from Town K lead the way and the rest keep us covered."
