Chapter 49 - To Rescue the Prisoners at Town K

The 25 Orbs who had just been released from the shriveled brain were leading the way. The rest of the 125 Orbs were around Mono and the group of trekkers.

This was because they belonged to this town and knew their way around the Town. They also knew the shortest route to the Jail of Town K were the innocent scientists were held. In the prison compound adjacent to the scientists were jailed those persons who had protested against the wrong policies of the Administrator and his cronies. Surprisingly, Town K had its local government which was similar to that at Town M but on a lower scale just like it was at Town I and Town J.

They soon reached the Jail and the Orbs surrounded the gate. As if by magic, all the locks opened as soon as the Orbs had surrounded the gate. It seemed as if they caused some vibrations for the locks to open. Apparently, the Orbs had done something to the lock with their laser-like light. Upon entering the jail, they first went to the reception area and found the records. Here they quickly identified the records of 30 scientists, who had been arrested quite some time back for refusing to work on the Time Machine experiment. They also located the records of the 15 political prisoners. The Orbs did a memory scan of the lists of scientists and the political prisoners and thereafter destroyed the entire records. All the attendants there were statues and were not aware of anything that was happening.

The Orbs split into five groups. One group remained to surround them, another group floated to the compound of the 30 scientists. The third group moved to the compound that lodged the 25 political prisoners. The fourth group remained at the reception and the fifth bigger group moved to the local administrator's building which housed the local administrator and his cronies. The Local Administrator and his cronies were in office as it still morning time.

All the scientists were frozen like statues/ practically immobile in their respective positions. The Orbs hypnotized with their lit torch that looked like the one that was carried by the 'Men in Black' in the same movie by that name. The prisoners were hypnotized and made to walk the prisoners and make to walk out of the jail with instructions to go home. They would be contacted by someone named Mono within a short while. They were not to go anywhere else. In the same Mono and the Orbs took action as they had taken action to transfer the scientists out of the jail at Town I and Town J. They did the same for the 15 political prisoners. They went in front of the prisoners and waved a thin lit torch like apparatus in front of the prisoners.

The Orb of Mono's Dad was holding this thin lit torch stick like apparatus in front of the scientists and his grandfather's Orb was holding a similar lit torch like apparatus in front of the political prisoners.

Both of them asked the prisoners to slowly move out of jail and continue to walk to their homes. They were to remain in their homes till someone by the name of Mono contacted them. They were not to go anywhere or have any contact with anyone for a week. Since their benefactors had their names and addressed as well as phone numbers, they would be contacted shortly.

Thereafter the scientists left for their respective homes. As they had been hypnotized they managed to walk but became statues as soon as they entered their homes. The same thing happened with the political prisoners. They also became statues upon reaching their homes.

The fifth group made their way to the local Administrator's office. Here another Orb held a similar thin lit torch like apparatus and hypnotized the local Administrator and his colleagues. They were asked to head for the jail. This was a convenient way to move everyone as carrying them would have taken a long time. If you can hypnotize then why do so much work?

They, in turn, followed the directions of the Orb and made their way to the jail and entered the 'political prisoners' compound of the jail. As soon as the local Administrator and his cronies landed up in their cells, they became statues. The gates closed behind the new prisoners. New records with names and other details were created by the fourth group of Orbs at the reception and these were kept in the reception area as the new records.

The Orbs were very clever; after all, they were the energies of scientists, so it was understandable.

The CCTV cameras could not record anything as they had been neutralized. Even then the Orbs were very careful and no one should be caught or heard.

"We have accomplished our work successfully in Town K also," Mono said.

"It is only 3.30 p.m. and we can proceed to Town L straight away."

"After completing our work in Town L, we can rest."

"Is our normal time still stopped?" asked Tania. "We were to head back to the City and reach around this time. Will we have time to go to Town L. to do justice to the Time Machines experiment and are there any prisoners there?"

"If the Town is abandoned, I do not think it has any prisoners there?" Zoya asked.

"But we do need to check, just in case," Mono replied. "We cannot leave things and go."

"Don't worry, we cannot stay there and will head back as soon as we finish our work."

"Packed lunches are in the cars, and as we head to the Town L you can satisfy your hunger. There are water bottles there too." "If you would like to use the washrooms you can do so at the exit/ arrival area of the cars." This entire information was given by Mono.

"At present, we have only managed to finish off the machines at Town M, Town I, Town J and Town K freed the scientists of Town I, Town J and Town K only. We still have to take care of the Time Machine at Town L, and release the scientists of the other Town L and Town M and fully destroy the Time Machine and blue prints at Town M."

The Town here was well planned. All the towns had been well planned like the ancient Indian cities of Harappa and Mohenjo Daro and the present city of Chandigarh in India where the blowing winds would clean them. The back of the houses was towards the main roads. The front of the houses opened into the inner lanes of the colonies.

Soon they passed the Time Machine cave and went further to enter the tunnel for a 10 minutes walking distance to the exit of the tunnel which housed the launching Pads of the cars they needed to take to the next Town L. It was now almost 4.00 p.m. They had another 20 minutes to travel to reach their last Town L.
