[Kai] "I really need to stop waking up in strange places..."
After being knocked out cold by some unknown, red eyed, I'm assuming person, I'm now being held prisoner as my arms are chained around a post and my legs are chained to the ground. Looking around, I don't seem to be the only one. Within the dark, damp, dusty, stone room with a single window allowing the moonlight in, is the figures of two other people. One, a young woman wearing torn up clothes that look like they're made from old potato sacks, her brown hair is long and tangled covering her face but I can still make out the tear marks running down her cheeks.
[???] "don't bother with her. She's already broken."
My attention was drawn towards the second figure that spoke. A middle aged man in slightly newer potato sack clothing with mid length blonde hair, blue eyes and a clear yet dark look on his face that I couldn't help but think would resemble the look I had when I came to this world.
[Kai] "what happened here?"
[Man] "guess you were caught without seeing your captor like the rest of us huh."
[Kai] "red eyes... I did see red eyes."
[Man] "so you caught a glimpse of one of them. Of the hunters."
[Kai] "hunters?"
[Man] "that's what I've heard the other vamps call them."
[Kai] "vamps.. you mean vampires? Vampires are real!?"
[Man] "eh? Of course they are. They've been a menace for thousands of years."
[Kai] "a-ah right."
[Man] "anyway, the names Daniel. What's yours kid?"
[Kai] "Kai"
[Daniel] "well then Kai. Hope you've got a high pain tolerance and a lot of patience. Cause you're gonna be here a while."
Hang on. If he's saying that and we've been captured by vampires... does that mean we're going to be treated like cattle? Damn. It's just one fucking thing after another in this world isn't it.
*creak*
"Oh come on, let me have a taste! You said he ate that right?"
"That's what I heard but still, no can do. High quality blood like that is reserved for the royals."
"Damn, wish I was the taster..."
"*sigh* can't argue with you there."
"Oh hey, he's awake!"
The two men that had walked into the room, both wearing fantasy-goth style, red and black coats and clothing with red eyes and long black hair were gazing hungrily in my direction. Their enlarged canines showing clearly when they spoke. These people were definitely vampires.
They sauntered over to me with menacingly pompous looks on their faces before sizing me up head to toe.
"This guy's got a pretty bad look to him. Where'd they say they found him again?"
"At some lake eating a forest fox and a black eagle."
"Ooooh those are pretty tough to kill for a human."
"Indeed. Especially for one so young."
"So kid, what kind of trick did you use to catch them huh?"
[Kai] "*spit*"
The saliva sprayed all over the mans face as he reeled back in disgust.
"Gah! That's disgusting! You humans! If we didn't need your blood you'd all be extinct!"
[Kai] "if I wasn't shackled up you'd be dead. Guess that makes us even."
"W-why you little-!"
"Hold it!"
"Huh?"
"His blood is valuable remember?"
"Can't we just drain it from his corpse?"
"You know it tastes better when they're alive."
"Tch, fine then, stick it in and get it over with then."
[Kai] "stick anything in me and you'll get a stake shoved through your heart."
"The hell is he talking about?"
"Don't know, don't care. Let's just get this over with and head back to the lord."
They went around behind me and grabbed my hand. With the talk of taking my blood, I prepared for it to get cut but, what happened next...
[Kai] "gaaaahhhhhh!!!!"
"Hehe, that's it, not so tough without a hand are you."
I could hear my blood gushing into some kind of container.
"Wow, that's a lot, won't he die from that much?"
"If it tastes as good as it should this will all be used in a banquet and he'll be used up anyway."
"Oh, good point."
Walking back out the door with wide smiles on there faces and a container full of my blood they left me on my knees on the floor with the shackles somehow still attached and a drained stub where my right hand used to be.
[Daniel] "holy shit kid, you alright?"
[Kai] "do I look alright to you!?"
[Daniel] "sorry. But now you know what these creatures are like. They're nothing but monsters. At least with that much blood loss you'll die quickly and won't have to suffer much longer."
[Kai] "Fuck. That. I'm getting out of here, and I'm gonna kill every last one of these pieces of shit."
[Daniel] "how are you going to do that kid? You've only got one hand left. And those chains are enchanted so magic doesn't work on them."
I let a dark, evil smile creep onto my face.
[Kai] "
My stub began to burn and feel like it was wriggling on the inside. An uncomfortable feeling to be sure but no worse than having my hand chopped off. I started to be able to feel the nerves I had just lost earlier and eventually, starting with my thumb, then my pinky, my fingers became a part of me once more. The sharp pain in my head was non-existent this time which could only mean that my power was indeed growing. This, of course, made my already wide smile turn into a grin that would give grown men nightmares.
[Daniel] "wh-what in the world? W-what are you?"
[Kai] "
The metal chains and shackles around my arms and legs began to creak and a redish brown rustic colour appeared on them to which a simple movement of my arms and legs broke with ease.
[Daniel] "wh-"
[Kai] "
Looking over towards Daniels shackles, as I spoke the word a faint *chink* sound could be heard, freeing him from the chains that bound him.
[Daniel] "you-.. thank you! W-we should get going as soon as possible! There's no telling when they might come back."
[Kai] "you go first, there's something else I have to do in here. Besides, it'll be easier if we split up, we'll be less detectable like that."
I began walking towards the broken young woman.
[Daniel] "eh? Oh... ok, well then, I hope you make it out of here Kai."
Daniel left the room.
[Kai] "and I hope you make a good distraction, Daniel."
I said it under my breath so that he and the woman would not be able to here it.
[Kai] "what's your name?"
The woman was silent, I suppose I should have expected as much. Is it her mind or her body that's broken?
[Kai] "I know you can understand me so I'll just ask. I can give you two options. The first, is that I heal you, both mind and body, giving you a slim chance to escape. If you want that then do nothing. The second option is I kill you right now and relieve you of your pain. If you want that then raise your head and look at me.
The woman wasted no time and, for the first time in what I presume to be quite a while, moved. She looked at me with her piercing, dead hazel eyes peering through her hair with tears falling down her cheeks.

[Boy] "I can give you two options..."
He can heal me? Give me a slim chance at getting out of here? Who fucking wants that? I've already given up, they killed the rest of my group and treated me like a toy, so why would I bother trying to live anymore.
[Boy] "the second option is I kill you right now."
What? Is this.. a chance to be rid of this godforsaken place once and for all? A way to reunite with my group...with my little brother? I can feel the tears starting to form, not of sadness but, happiness? Am I actually happy for the first time in years?
I didn't waste a another breath of my saviours time and looked up immediately. I admit I'm also curious as to what he looks like. He sounds so young yet speaks of things a boy would never freely talk of. Looking at him, a boy? He really is a boy? And what's more, he doesn't even have a weapon! This fucking little piece of shit played me!
[Boy] "it's a shame your life ended up this way, but don't worry, I'll be sure to kill every last one of them for you."
Eh? He knows I've seen him without a weapon but still speaks so confidently? A magician? And a powerful one? Perhaps...
[Woman] "Lors..."
[Boy] "what?"
[Woman] "kill... Lors..."
[Boy] "is he the vampire that did all of this to you?"
I nodded my head slowly.
[Boy] "alright then. Lors. I'll be sure even his mother is unable to recognise his corpse when I'm through with him."
I couldn't help but let a small smile creep onto my face, no doubt it looked pretty ugly since it's the first time I've smiled in three years.
[Boy] "don't worry. If it's any consolation, there is something like a god out there, I'll put in a good word for you and try to get you someplace nice if you weren't going there already."
An angel. This boy is truly an angel. An angel of death is finally here to take me. Tears were now streaming down my smiling face.

The back of the smiling woman's head was blown off, revealing brain matter and pieces of skull that went flying across the room. I turned towards the exit thinking one thing. That woman's smile, truly was beautiful.
My mother, that woman, the countless people who've been given the shaft and had it shoved down their throats. I can't help but feel angry at the thought of all this. I now have at least three- no four targets. The two that took my hand, Lors, and this so called lord. I'm coming for you fuckers.
