"Maybe I should say it. Whose parents put their newborn in our village? I didnt even sense someone approached our place since the early dawn. To think they were that skilled, the baby's origin must be of a noble." Orlan seriously said.
"Just like the situation to both of you and Louissa?" Heish's expression was also serious, tackling the topic in great intent.
The concept of a child bestowed in heavens had never deemed to be real. It may look like that for others who were ignorant, but everyone in this era was knowledgeable. It was due everyone had experienced, heard, and felt countless wars happening in their surroundings, aware of the news and schemes of the assailing forces. Hence, the people's wisdom was abundant.
The concept of being a child of heaven was an easing way to depict for their child's growth, directing the assumptions of any child here or even adults to eject their misleading thoughts of contemptuousness, by spreading of a child being left as trash for somebody else.
Since the start of a new era, the standard wisdom of the people had gained a higher level.
"Yes, an abandoned child of a noble. If this spreads wide, our village will be implicated. But our chief villager is a cunning old man, he is already experienced to both of us, the same as that child, children of nobles. Hiding one noble child is easy as turning his hand for him." Orlan laughed arbitrary, not even bothering of the danger of such situation.
Heish was about to reply his words but his face turned to shock immediately. He immediately blurted out while pointing to the baby, "Look Orlan!"
Orlan was surprised of his sudden action as he swiftly shifted his direction to his nephew. His visage also directly became shocked.
Everyone in the village turned silent as all of them had shock plastered on their faces. That included Louissa with a graceful demeanor, touching his hand to her mouth. Whereas the chief villager had his eyes widened and his arms limped back to his hips, he no longer controlled the wind.
Everyone had their eyes to the baby in the skies, continued to soar above. Yes it was Glothiac, a newborn neonate, with controlled winds raising him above to the moon. A baby which supposed to depend of its surroundings and parents to learn, an age of a day old, had finally learned to control the wind on his own, pushing his light body to the circular full moon.
Everyone had forgotten their breaths, looking at this miracle. It was said that a normal person would need to age fifteen before one could awaken an elemental property. A peerless genius of a behemoth sect had a miracle of attaining the same achievement at the age of one.
However in this not noteworthy village, everyone sensed the puissant vitality of this newborn baby, akin to an age of hours, not yet a day. But it had rid of their sense of common sense, to this unduly miracle that had happened in their witnessing eyes.
"A peerless genius." A chief village muttered out. Extreme disbelief flickered on his eyes as his body shivered in shocking fear.
He knew that he had only learned of a legend that a one-out-of-a-million talent had been born at the extreme west. The child had unleashed his twin opposite elemental powers of fire and water at the age of ten.
His achievements had spread so far that this secluded village had heard of it. The opposite elements which is fire and water, had finally been merged together to make a new element of nothingness. It defied logic but everyone who was touched by that unknown element had disintegrated in oblivion.
This had shocked the area of vicinity around which have heard of it which spanned for billions of miles.
But to witness a miracle with his naked eyes, it had trembled his core. For he knew this type of talent could not be hidden in this village, it was akin to a bright jewel in the darkness that shone bright light, attracting everyone to have this unpolished stone.
Even if it was a child of a noble, it was more than that. A peerless genius once acquired by an organization could have a status greater than a crown prince. One it achieved adulthood, it would be said as higher than an emperor having a million year dynasty of an empire.
All of these speculations deemed to be rightfully correct as he was already having thoughts to find ways how to get this baby out of this village, at the same time, having its feeble life a safety protection for the time being.
However the baby seemed not to halt its excitement, its wisdom was fully apparent for everyone to see.
As if the baby had called upon its surroundings, the clouds above started to stack together, cloud cottons becoming large pillows. The wind bellowed powerfully strong and lightnings started to crackle above the dark clouds. Rain started to fall in deluge.
Fire combusted out of the air and earth quaked down below, ejecting all of villagers' stupors to the true reality. Their senses came back to them but their expressions was at utmost shock, witnessing a miracle above of all miracle. It seemed to be truly a son of the heavens.
Element after elements started to swirl around the tiny body of the skies. Lightning struck down and was if having life, it circled around the baby's body as if of a tamed snake.
Fire exploded as of a fire crackers in the skies, clearly presenting a festive scenario to the skies.
Water suddenly formed and appeared, like long blue eels slithering in the air. Rocks and stones lifted and soared above; raging of hailstones with accompaniment of dusts, deliberated atop.
The tree leaves slowly flew up; sometimes broken down by the stones, consumed by the flames, or drenched with water.
Every elements swam around Glothiac, even light and darkness interchanged to support his arrival. The reborn of the supreme existence!
For a long time, that seemed be eternal, everything halted for good as the clouds started to drift away and disperse, stopping the rain.
Fires gone out and the water started to rewind, becoming rain drops. Even the time was not spared to be controlled.
Dusts and stones fell down as people tried to shield themselves from it. They conjured a strong wind, or elemental barrier, taking out forms of power using elements.
As the tiny baby fell down from the skies with controlled winds holding him, Glothiac gently flew to Louissa's arms.
Louissa subconsciously grabbed him carefully and held him in her arms, her expression unduly complicated with shock gaining the most.
As if exhausted from the shocking unleash of elements, Glothiac immediately fell asleep, like a meek child. It would be like nothing ever happened if not for the bald trees around them, the damaged houses, wines wetting the ground, flasks and plates scattering everywhere, and tables and chairs mostly stumbled down.
It took a long while of silence before everyone had finally regained their core senses.
Everything in the world scaled on balance. Too low would be disdained, too much would be feared. As such, everyone was retreating a safe distance away from the baby.
"W- we need to get rid of that child!" A woman shouted out, voicing it out like a scream.
"Yeah, we need that baby away from us!" A man blared out, greatly afraid of the unknown.
After those voices, the village clamored with terrorized complaints to a tiny feeble being.
As a chief villager, he knew what he had to do. He professed, "As a chief person of this village, and to care for the welfare of the entirety, getting rid of the baby is the most plausible action the village should take. We could not bear to take the risks of outcomes, having an existence beyond the reach of us normal mortals. He deserved to be with those immortals."
Mostly everyone agreed while the silent ones assented within their minds. It had indisputably gained the majority's decision as Louissa bit her lips, unable to accept it.
Orlan and Heish came to her and gently loosen up her tense emotions.
Her husband spoke to her, "Don't worry my wife, we'll find a place to live with him alone."
Upon hearing that, Louissa looked at her husband's eyes shining with great resolve, her heart uncontrollably throbbed in increasing pace. It was the man that let her fall in love and trapped her of his net of affection.
"Y- yes." She lowered his head as the man patted her head even of their current age. Tinge of red formed on her cheeks as if she slightly forgotten the godly miracle she just experienced.
"Don't worry my dear sister. I'll be still in touch with this village but I will always kept visiting you, concerning this baby nephew of mine." Olrlan laughed, ridding the tense atmosphere of the village.
Orlan looked at the villagers as he gravely said with his cultivation's pressure emanating out, "You wouldn't mind right?"
As everyone was subjected with fears including the stronger men, only the village chief remained aloof despite Orlan's fierceness.
"Of course, we wouldn't mind as long as you fulfilled certain conditions." The village chief had mostly regained his composure but deep in his mind, was still the silhouette of the tiny baby in the skies, with elements dancing around the diminutive being.
"What are the conditions?" Orlan asked with brows furrowed seriously.
"First, that is to rid the connections of the three of you of this village. From now on you are exiled, never allowing the parents of the baby to step of this village ever again. Second, you, Orlan, can still be a guest, an exiled person achieving the amnesty of the whole villagers with your contributions of the past years. Third, never implicate the village. That's all." The chief village amicably smiled, an experienced cunning person yet was kind.
His child, the young teen, stood upright to his right, gazing to the exiled persons, with complicated expressions.
The young teen had a deep bond with Orlan. The couple was also connected to him for Louissa was Orlan's sister and Heish was a brother-in-law. As such ridding of the baby, that he was also connected with, he could not have a thought.
But he could only bear with it, as the spectacle happening in his vision was a reality.
It was the sake for the village and also for their sake.
"We gladly oblige." Orlan widely smiled showing his bare teeth.
"Okay, then prepare your necessities. I want in the next dawn, all of you are already gone." The chief village turned around and moved towards his dwelling.
Kellen, the young teen, had his eyes wet, as he stared to them, his body seemed to be frozen. After a while, he clumsily followed his father.
The villagers had many variations of expressions among them, especially fear. They also started to disperse, cleaning the grounds.
At the next morning, as sun started to rise, with dews of the leaves reflecting the lucent light; up above a certain hill and a great distance away from the village, stood the trio.
They looked at the village silhouette at a certain distance covered with tall trees as everyone had their inner thoughts swirling in their minds.
The baby, was still deep in sleep to the embrace of Louissa. It seemed bizarre that the baby didn't require to sap milk from the woman as it felt no hunger. It felt that the elements rampaging yesterday had also been a serving of food for this neonate.
Louissa and Heish had a same thought, as they eyed the village.
'Goodbye, our home.'
The years they had stayed in the village could only become memories of this loving couple. The time they enjoyed their moments when they were still kids, laughed and cried at the same time. Also, when they were scolded by their neighbors especially the village chief, holding a stick, reprimanding them with his nagging mouth. Despite of it, they were always protected by the old man, resorting to petty or good tactics to let them learn the lessons of life.
However right now, their relationship remained near yet was also far.
Only Orlan had a great complicated expression on his face, as he was still allowed from the village. He uttered, "Let's go!"
