Chapter 6 - A Trouble Brewing

Away from the mansion, both Heish and Orlan sat on a wide catchy chair, brilliantly eye-catching. They looked at the young kid soaring above the surface of the stream, reading exuberantly at a thick old yellow book.

It was done in a swift motion, just opening it a bit and fastly flipping the pages. Taking advantage of his memory, he had already gotten all of its contents.

"That book is better than I had. Look at me right now, the cultivation book I found in the forest had only just led me to become a late mortal realm cultivator." Orlan sighed for he was unable to proceed further on his cultivation as the book he had embarked upon were full of flaws and erroneously guided him to a limit of late mortal realm.

"Hey tell me brother, wont this kid easily surpass you right this mere second?" Heish asked him casually as he looked at the swirling elements circulated around Glothiac.

"Oh I won't believe it. It had taken me roughly ten years to become just a late mortal realm. Even if that kid was unreasonably talented, he..." Orlan dismissively put away the thought of what Heish told him, but as he looked at area where Glothiac was at, he became not confident.

He thought, 'That book was a standardized version acknowledged by the general public, and would take atleast 15 years for an ordinary talented person to reach the peak of the mortal realm. If its Gloathiac we're talking about, it should be atleast a day. Or else it will destroy my ego... if he surpass me in a mere second!!"

However reality broke down his expectations as strong wind blew up everything around the vicinity of Glothiac. Small waves had formed and splashed to the ground. If the stream of water had been large, the wind that was forced out should have formed large waves.

Heish's combed hair rustled while Orlan's had become more erratic in form. The wind slammed to the hard mansion, producing sonorous windy sounds.

Trees swayed while bamboo like plants bended slightly. The water falls remained unperturbed but the mist was drifted away.

Glothiac had remained in the air as he scanned his surroundings. The sudden eruption of his power had astonished him. Comprehending the book was easy as drinking water, hence, the continuous breakthrough, pouring out strong winds.

Those winds were his and as if he lost his precise control to it, it consistently bellowed to his surroundings in strong winds. Even his position into the air had lifted him up of a distance until he consciously stopped it.

He adjusted his control and the wind finally stabilized. The mist that was produced by the water falls had regained their envelopment.

'If I acquire breakthroughs during cultivation, the elemental prowess would also be proportionally increased in power. As such, I never lost my control but instead it became puissant. I only need to reduce its extent before allowing its stableness back again.'

Glothiac thought in silence.

In the book, it only specified the mortal realm cultivation. It was classified to early stage, middle, late, and peak, and even the rare half-step. Half-step was rare for it was only seen at later realms, such as the book stated. Being half-step or quasi required for achieving the peak while also having acquired the essence and knowledge for the next cultivation realm.

For he didn't know the next realm, he was currently at the peak stage of mortal realm.

Mortal Realm or also called as Body Strengthening Realm, was the most basic foundation. It specified that a sufficient vessel was required for next steps, which were the next realms.

His breakthrough was unbelievable.

The essence of heaven and earth or was generally termed as "Goo". A normal person should steadily guide Goo, strengthening their body for years.

However, Glothiac had defied common sense, attaining peak mortal realm immediately.

His constitution improved considerably. If his physique could stand alone with the white-striped tiger previously, which is a beast innately stronger and attaining a peak cultivation at mortal realm; right now, he could instantly beat the kitten with a single flick of his finger.

Yes, it was a kitten for him, even its size was humongous, being 10 feet wide, 30 feet long and 15 feet in height.

Glothiac called it, "Kitten come here."

The white-striped tiger which scared out Orlan, roared out of its lungs in the jungle, while it slowly stepped out and showed its huge size.

Large and small birds flew out of the forest, scared by the fierce roar. Trees' leaves rustled, showing clear movements of other beasts running away.

This tiger was considered a powerhouse in this forest.

Orlan which was struck dumb by the lightning breakthroughs of his nephew, became listless. Even more so, when he saw the tiger moving towards Glothiac, the beast he had faced numerous times that almost endangered his life, which became a pet for his nephew. When the tiger saw him, it bared its fangs while continuing his tread.

"Dont worry brother. Glothiac is just talented." Heish lightly laughed as it was quite normal. However, it only poured more ice, dealing blow to Orlan's esteem.

"I hope I was half as talented he is." Orlan mumbled in dolefulness while Heish comfortably relaxed himself to the nature.

Orlan regained his composure after a while as his mood turned 180 degrees, speaking in a serious tone, "I think Glothiac is meant for bigger things."

Listening his brother's one sentence, Heish looked at Orlan in a serious ponder, which he then looked back to his son playing with the tiger,

"Its up to him whether if he want to or not. As a father, I'll respect any of his decisions. For a mere five year old kid, his wisdom seemed to be adult already. In fact, he can already live on his own. Its like as if we're genuinely needed to feed him as all the food came from his hunt. I felt like an old man, laying still and waiting for food."

"It sure must be hard having a talented kid." Orlan chuckled.

Heish was just silent, staring at the tiny kid, roaming around the humongous tiger.

However, they were unaware of a person with a hawk eyes, above the falls, looking them below insidiously with coldness. He had hidden his presence in the dark, spying Orlan since his leave from the city.

He had long been shocked by the spectacle of a young kid, aging around at five, to be floating at the skies. Having beauty that seemed unauthentic, if he was not still in this world, he would think he was in heavens seeing a goddess.

Yes, a goddess. He had mistaken Glothiac as a girl.

This girl had the white-striped tiger at its beck for playing, like a pet. Seeing it, it had totally destroyed his perspective of the world. The tiger wagged its tail like a dog, clearly showing its intelligence of being happy.

He considerably knew even if there tens of him, he could not own the tiger. But that young girl, seemed much stronger, as this hawk eyed person had observed within the eyes of the tiger, fear lurked within.

What he had witnessed was an impossible tale, even if he reported it to the higher ups. If he was not far to not feel the fluctuations of Goo, he would have long become dumbstruck to think that a mere kid had a cultivation of peak mortal realm.

As an assassin, he was top notch hiding his presence, hence, the people below was unable to feel his presence including the beast.

Since the beginning, before he spied Orlan; he had spotted him numerous times on the outskirts or in the taverns close to the city gate. He was conspicuous for a normal commoner should not have green eyes aside from those who were status.

It didn't concern him at all, as there were lot of foreigners and rare persons having colored eyes without status, like Orlan. It was just that his assassinations or simply called missions, had covered the same way where Orlan trotted many times, seeing him frequently.

Considering his dwarf yet tall size, this assassin could not help but held a large impression of him, with the addition of his decent cultivation.

He looked honest and upright, and he seemed to be a justifiable honest man. His keen observation from his field of work, had helped him deduced that analytical information. It was also the reason, he could accurately verify Glothiac age at around 5.

He had seen numerous times during these recent years and especially these months; Orlan brought plenty of beasts' parts that fetched a hefty price.

Seeing those, the hawk eyed person had long succumbed to greed, wanted to steal him and ultimately silencing him. If he had that same resources, he would have already attained the peak mortal realm. Such success would enable him to access his organization's resources, thus allowing him to reach the next realm.

However, he was aware of the danger.

This person had no recent wounds or even scabs around his body every time he came to the city to trade these beast parts.

It could be said that Orlan was ordered by a more powerful person to exchange the beast parts, or practically, having a strong backer. The hawk eyed person would not allow to risk himself and spy them, hence offending someone he couldn't.

But he still kept his curiosity and went inside a tavern which Orlan frequently drunk himself. Those times, he heard a lot about having a nephew that was so talented. Orlan kept bragging his nephew every time he was drunk at this tavern.

As the hawk eyed person was very keen to the psychology of a person, for it was his field of work; every time a person was drunk, the person would ultimately spill guaranteed information. But he never heard of a word or clue about having a backer.

The most valuable information he could listen were some impossible tales like having a nephew that could easily kill a peak mortal beast, could already speak by half a month old, could run by a month, and more.

Recalling those memories, this girl in sight must be a boy for it was said to be a nephew, not a niece. Because of the kid's unreasonable beauty, his eyes had tricked him.

Originally, he entirely didn't believe those stories but he managed to steel himself to follow Orlan, spying him how did he end up with such valuable beast parts. If he didn't have a backer, could he have some other ways to eliminate peak mortal beasts easily?

However, right now, the nephew talks seemed to be the truth. Orlan was truly honest, he had never spoke lies.

His voice trailed off the wind as he vanished, "It would not hurt to tell a story."

His aim was to share what he had witnessed and heard about the young kid to his higher ups.
