The ball started without a problem; more and more guests continued to pour in. But the more people that came here, the more nervous Lyn got. She's never been in a place with so many people before. It made her feel incredibly nervous. She can't breathe; her thoughts broke off when Allen placed his hand on her forehead.
"Do not fret; I am beside you."
"I'm sorry, these places make me very nervous," Lyn murmured.
Allen chuckled, "Shall we dance? Perhaps that will take your mind off things."
"You know I'm a terrible dancer."
"Just follow my lead."
Lyn sighed but followed him onto the dance floor. She somehow followed his movements, at least for a short while, anyway. But it didn't take long before she kept stepping on his feet.
"I see you were deliberately stepping on my feet before," Allen whispered, softly when she stepped on his already bruised feet again.
