After retouching her makeup and making herself look more lively, Qin Shimei grabbed a travel size mint mouthwash from her bag to rinse off the sour smell and taste in her mouth. Double checking to make sure everything is good, Qin Shimei walked out from the lady's washroom. Qin Shimei caught site of the group and walked up to them, standing next to Zhi Ruo.
General Zhi turns to Qin Shiemi and said, "Ah, Mei'er, let me introduce you to the Wang family's only son, Wang Ju-long, CEO of Emperor Corporation, Young Master Wang." General Zhi looks back to Ju-long and introduced him to Qin Shimei, "This is Qin Shimei of the Qin family, daughter of Qin Fan Huang and Cheng An. I assume Young Master Wang and Mei'er have already met?"
Ju-long politely says, "Yes, we did, but we weren't properly introduced due to some misunderstanding, therefore, I want to apologize."
Qin Shimei rolled her eyes, "Just make sure to keep your female dog on its leash. Don't want her to bark on the wrong tree in the future, and speaking of your female dog, where is she?"
Ju-long raised his left brow in amusement.
"If you are talking about Ming Xi, I had one of my assistant drive her home. I didn't want her to cause any more trouble than she already has. She is a model that my company is collaborating with for the upcoming advertisement. Once again, I want to apologize for her rudeness and hope that this won't affect our relationship."
Qin Shimei narrowed her eyes while thinking to herself, Collaborating my ass! You guys were making out in the elevator! Is that how you always do your business? Having sex with them to benefit your company? And what relationship? We don't have any relationship, disgusting bastard!
Instead, Qin Shimei only replies back with a half-smile and a nod.
Auntie Zhi instantly knew there is something more between Qin Shimei and Ju-long. Since Qin Shimei did not want to discuss it, she will not force her.
Realizing the awkward silence, Auntie Zhi walked over to Qin Shimei, holding gift bags.
With a happy and gentle voice, she says, "Happy birthday, Mei'er. I know it's not much, but I hope you like the gifts." She gave two gift bags to Qin Shimei and a warm hug. "Open it, Mei'er. I want to see if you like them." Auntie Zhi wore a big warm smile on her face and her eyes were shining with expectation.
Qin Shimei chuckled at Auntie Zhi's request, "Okay, Ā Yí."
Qin Shimei puts one gift bag down on the floor while she held the other gift with black glitter wrapping tissue papers. She removed the tissue papers and saw a camouflage uniform, and one medium sized box as well a big tall box. Qin Shimei already figured out who the gift was from. Before she took out the boxes and uniform, she glanced at General Zhi with a knowing look.
General Zhi made a fist and coughed, "Ahem, you brat, don't look at me like that! Ahem, see what else is inside the bag." Uncle Zhi lifted his chin up with a proud look.
Qin Shimei chuckles. She took out the uniform to get a good look. The uniform was in gray and black camouflage colors, and on the left chest was her name embroidered in green characters. The uniform is exactly her size. Later, she took out the tall box and saw black leather combat boots to match her uniform. She gave her opened gifts to Zhi Ruo to hold so she could grab the last box. Qin Shimei opened the box and saw an S&W Caliber Glock 22 with a silencer. Qin Shimei froze, her eyes shining with excitement. Her third favorite gun! She wanted to take it out and try it, but they were still in a restaurant. Ah! This was torturing her mentally! Qin Shimei looks up at General Zhi with a big beautiful smile.
General Zhi proudly says, "I told you that you will like your gifts."
Qin Shimei gave General Zhi a provocative smirk, "I only like the gun. The rest, you can take it back."
Qin Shimei watches General Zhi tense up. She couldn't help but laugh out loud. She placed her gifts back in the bag and walks up to General Zhi to give him a hug and a thank you. Next, she opens up Auntie Zhi's gift bag. Inside the bag was a white long lab coat, a top brand stethoscope, a blood pressure cuff, and a new laptop that hasn't been in-store yet. Even though Qin Shimei never asked for anything, but her best friend, General Zhi, and Auntie Zhi would spoil her like she is part of their family. Qin Shimei's heart feels warmth and love. She gave Auntie a big hug and tried to hold her tears back, she didn't want to embarrass herself, especially in front of a certain person who still stood next to General Zhi, looking at her.
Qin Shimei avoided his gaze and turns to lock her arm with Zhi Ruo's, dragging her to the front entrance of the elevator while holding the gift bags, followed by General Zhi, Auntie Zhi, and Ju-long. Zhi Ruo has no choice but to stand by the back corner since Qin Shimei was still holding onto her, and Ju-long stood right next to Qin Shimei.
Zhi Ruo whispered to Qin Shimei, "Hey, little Shimei, I did not give you a present because it is at home. So you'll have to wait until then." She moves her attention to Ju-long, who was still like a statue next to Shimei. "Do you two know each other? Because he is standing pretty close to you even though we have extra space in the elevator."
Ju-long, who heard everything, coughed awkwardly.
Qin Shimei gave Zhi Ruo an I-will-tell-you look. While the elevator continues to go down to the lobby floor, Ju-long leaned to Qin Shimei's ear and his tone in a husky whisper, "My little feisty kitten, don't fall." He then blew air against Qin Shimei's sensitive spot, sending shivers down her back. Qin Shimei was about to move away from Ju-long, but unexpectedly the elevator shook and caused her to stumble backward onto Ju-long's hard chest.
Ju-long playfully replied, "Ah, little kitten are you trying to seduce me?" He leaned closer to her ear, "Because it's working."
