The battle had reached its peak. The enemy was closing in on the final push, their forces relentless and seemingly invincible. However, in the midst of the chaos, Naruto Uzumaki stood tall, watching, waiting, his pulse steady and calm. The wind around him shifted, rising and swirling like a living thing, responding to the deep power that flowed through him.
It was the perfect moment.
Naruto lifted his hands, his fingers interlacing as he focused his chakra. The air crackled, as if anticipating the power about to be unleashed.
"Blade Twister," Naruto whispered, his voice barely audible over the growing wind.
He clapped his hands together, and a fierce gale roared to life. Wind twisted around him like serpents, whipping and writhing as it spiraled outwards, forming multiple twisting tornadoes that spread across the battlefield. The sound was deafening—a shrieking roar that echoed across the empty expanse of the battlefield. The wind gathered force, growing sharper, more intense as it danced in the sky, spinning wildly out of control.
But that wasn't all.
Naruto's mouth parted as he drew in a deep breath. Dragon Fire.
With a single exhale, flames erupted from his mouth, roaring out like a great beast unleashed. The fire blended with the wind, and in the blink of an eye, the twisters became fiery cyclones, engulfing everything in their path. The air became thick with heat and ash as the wind and fire fused into one devastating storm. It was a spectacle of destruction, the flames licking the earth, transforming the landscape into an inferno.
The enemy forces were caught completely off guard. They had no time to react before the flames crashed into their ranks. Tyu, their commander, watched helplessly as the Woodmon—massive tree-like Digimon standing over 100 meters tall—were hit directly by the inferno. Their wooden bodies, once sturdy and unyielding, began to smolder, their bark cracking and splintering as the flames consumed them.
Woodmon, powerful though they were, had one fatal weakness: fire.
The mighty trees writhed in pain as the flames danced across their bodies. Their once-solid trunks cracked and split, and the flames spread quickly, reducing them to burning skeletons of their former selves. The rookie Digimon surrounding them—too close to the chaos—were likewise caught in the flames, their data scattered to the wind as they were toasted alive by the intense heat.
Tyu gritted his teeth in frustration, but before he could even issue a command, the earth beneath their feet shuddered, and the ground shook violently.
Damemon—a towering, menacing figure with huge tonfa in each hand—slammed its weapon into the ground with a crushing force. The shockwave rippled outward, breaking through the fiery vortexes Naruto had created. The earth cracked, and the wind's intensity faltered as the massive Damemon disrupted the flow of energy.
With a single swing of its tonfa, Damemon shattered the firestorm, sending a wave of dust and debris scattering in all directions. The flames flickered and receded, but not before leaving behind charred remains and smoldering ruins.
The Woodmon, though badly burned, used their energy reserves to push the flames from their bodies. The charred bark shed off in large chunks, but the trees—while severely weakened—remained standing. Enraged, the Woodmon launched flaming debris from their bodies toward Naruto and his team, sending burning wood through the air like massive projectiles.
But Naruto was ready. He dodged, the wooden missiles whizzing past him. He nimbly evaded the attacks with his impeccable speed, the wood crashing into the final line of their defenses, causing destruction and chaos. His auto shields absorbed most of the impacts, but the sheer force of the projectiles left behind scorched earth and burning rubble.
Naruto's eyes narrowed as he prepared for the next phase of the battle.
The Battle Rages On
With the Woodmon faltering, the remaining threats were now more focused. The D-Brigade—the elite military force of Digimon—remained a deadly force, unaffected by the chaos around them. These were the true threats now.
While the Woodmon fell, Damemon was still standing strong. Naruto and Asura knew that the battle for this particular target would not be over so quickly. They were the only ones who could deal with such a powerhouse. With a quick glance to Asura, Naruto gave the silent command.
The two of them surged forward, charging straight at Damemon, ready to face the beast head-on.
Meanwhile, Takato and Arthur took their positions to support Goku, who had been summoned to the battlefield. They knew their role was clear—they were to keep the Woodmon distracted and hold them back, allowing Naruto to deal with Damemon. It was a risky move, but it was the only option they had. Goku, with his unmatched strength, would prove invaluable against the massive trees.
Takato tightened his grip on his Digivice, knowing that they had no room for error. If they made the wrong move, the Woodmon would overwhelm them. But with Naruto's support, they felt a surge of confidence.
Above them, Rika, Luna, Henry, and Tesla took the battle to the D-Brigade, targeting the most dangerous forces still active on the field. They knew they were outnumbered, but they weren't about to back down.
The D-Brigade had always been a fierce opponent, and these were no exception. The Commandramon snipers were positioned strategically, waiting for an opening. But Rika, with her cold precision, made it clear that no one would get an easy shot at them.
The heat of the battle surged around them as Goku, the Apemon, stood tall, his golden fur gleaming under the harsh light of the ongoing conflict. Despite his smaller size compared to the towering Woodmon, Goku was far from a lightweight. Standing only 30 meters tall at full height, Goku had honed his power to be compact and efficient, relying more on his agility and tactical mind rather than raw brute force.
Goku had always been known as a playful, mischievous Digimon, and it was this very nature that Naruto had come to admire. Goku was a rare breed—one of the few Animal Digimons who combined a carefree attitude with an innate skill in combat. He was an expert fighter, with a knack for helping others, and though his next form, Gokuwamon, required a journey of intense enlightenment, Goku had already proven himself a force to be reckoned with.
However, the road to achieving Gokuwamon was fraught with dangerous trials—trials that Goku knew would push him past his limits. He had no resentment toward Naruto for not forcing him into the journey, understanding that not everyone had the courage to face such risks. But with Naruto's team, Goku had found a sense of belonging, and in just a few short days, his growth had been accelerated. The bond between them grew stronger with each passing moment, and Goku began to respect Naruto not just as a master, but as a true leader.
And now, in the heat of battle, Goku was ready to fight—not just for himself, but for his friends.
The Woodmon, monstrous tree-like Digimon standing over 100 meters tall, were focusing their rage on Naruto, a prime target due to his immense power. But Goku, with his usual playfulness, had a different plan. His eyes gleamed mischievously as he looked to the Woodmon and decided it was time to make things a bit more complicated for them.
Goku took hold of the metal staff given to him by Young, a replacement for the large bone he had once carried. With a swift motion, he empowered the staff, making it grow to the size of a towering tree trunk. The staff hummed with raw power, its surface shimmering with energy as it swelled in size. Boom!
With a mighty swing, Goku's staff smashed into one of the Woodmon, sending it crashing to the ground with a resounding thud. The mighty tree-like Digimon fell, shaking the earth beneath them, its branches flailing wildly as it tried to regain balance.
However, the other Woodmon reacted quickly. Anger surged through its wooden body as it summoned a Leaf Storm, an attack where the leaves from its body became infused with violent energy, cutting through the air with deadly precision. The leaves moved like razor-sharp blades, able to slice through steel as if it were paper.
But Goku was ready. He had long since learned to harden his body in moments of danger. With a quick shout, he activated Diamond Body, a technique that reinforced his defenses, making his body as tough as diamond. The leaves struck him, but they bounced off harmlessly as Goku shrunk the staff, preparing for another strike.
Goku's body may have been smaller than the Woodmon's, but his agility was his greatest strength. As the Woodmon advanced, Goku used his natural speed to maneuver around the massive attacks, swinging his staff with ease and slamming it into the Woodmon's side, knocking it down with a resounding crash. One down.
The chaos continued as Arthur, always by Goku's side, saw his opening. With the Woodmon distracted, Arthur unleashed a massive fireball, charging it up with as much energy as he could muster. The fireball was the size of his own body—enormous and glowing with intense heat. It shot toward the Woodmon with tremendous speed, striking it dead-on.
The Woodmon screamed in agony as the flames clung to its body, setting the burning branches alight. But it didn't fall yet. The fireball wasn't enough to destroy the beast completely.
That's when Takato acted. He drew out a card from his deck and, with a swift motion, slashed it through the air. "Dragon Fire!" The card activated, and the flames intensified, wrapping around the Woodmon like a living inferno. The fire stuck to the tree-like Digimon, causing it to writhe in agony as its body was slowly consumed by the flames.
Takato stood at the ready, barrier active, as the Woodmon struggled. Its roots lashed out in a desperate attack, but Takato's barrier protected them. Each movement was calculated, each strike of the bombs he tossed into the fray was timed perfectly, giving his team just enough time to recover and strike again.
With one of the Woodmon now incapacitated, Goku turned his attention to the remaining one. The battle had become more intense, as the Woodmon's branches swung at Goku, trying to capture him in their grasp. But Goku, with his nimble movements, dodged each attack, using the wind as his stepping stone to vault into the air and avoid the branches' deadly reach.
Goku wasn't just playing around; he was in his element. The Woodmon were slow—slower than Goku—and much of this was due to the brainwashing they had undergone at the hands of Tyu. This weakness made them easy prey for Goku's precision strikes. Every swing of his staff hit its mark, landing with the force of a battering ram.
However, the presence of Damemon, the terrifying champion-class Digimon, loomed in the back of his mind. Damemon's power could easily turn the tide of battle if it chose to join in. Goku knew he couldn't afford to lose focus.
Just as Goku delivered another crushing blow to the Woodmon, the ground shuddered again. Commandramon, a faster, more agile rookie Digimon, launched a sudden attack on Arthur. These Rookies were faster and more coordinated than the Woodmon, and now they were causing chaos within the ranks.
Arthur barely managed to dodge the barrage of attacks, but it became clear that the battle was no longer just a one-on-one. Goku, while handling the Woodmon, was now forced to juggle both threats. The Commandramon proved to be a dangerous adversary—quick and relentless. Their tactical movements kept Goku on his toes, forcing him to divide his attention between the Woodmon and the new threat.
The battlefield had become a delicate balance of attacks, defenses, and strategy. If Naruto didn't intervene soon, Goku might be overwhelmed by the sudden onslaught of enemies. Yet, despite the rising danger, Goku's playful spirit remained intact. He fought with joy, always seeking the next challenge, and relishing in the camaraderie of his newfound family.
The battle was far from over, and its outcome was still in the balance.
