Chereads / Digital Emperor (Naruto X Digimon) / Chapter 61 - Chapter 61

Chapter 61 - Chapter 61

The dense forest echoed with the sounds of rapid gunfire, the constant crack of bullets cutting through the air as Rika and Luna fought with every ounce of strength they had. They were like shadows, never staying in one spot for long, always moving, always dodging. Their enemies, on the other hand, were like ghosts, their presence always felt, but rarely seen. They operated as a well-coordinated team, each taking a different position to cut off escape routes, making it difficult for the two warriors to move freely.

Luna was accustomed to fast battles, but this was different. She had faced many battles before, but this was her first time encountering such a powerful and tactical enemy in the wild. The wild was always unpredictable, and these enemies were exploiting that advantage. Their reflexes were razor-sharp, each time Luna attempted to strike, they swiftly blocked or deflected her blows, countering with lethal precision.

The first few minutes were a blur of speed, evasive maneuvers, and brutal exchanges of blows. The enemies surrounded them, firing from every direction, their rifles aimed at Luna's vital spots. Luna's armor bore the marks of the attacks—scrapes and dents where bullets had impacted, and she had barely dodged them in time. A few moments ago, she had narrowly avoided losing her tail and leg to a sniper shot from the hidden enemy. It was clear that they were dealing with a well-prepared and organized force, one that would not let up easily.

Rika and Luna fought together, a fluid team of warriors, but they were vastly outnumbered. Four of them surrounded them while three others went for Henry and Tesla, and the last hidden sniper fired from an unseen position, making it harder to track their movements. Rika could feel the pressure mounting—her ammunition was running low, and the hidden sniper's anti-tank rifle made the entire situation even more dangerous.

"Luna, let's take them down. I'll support you." Rika's voice was steady, but there was an underlying urgency in it. She had spent five minutes analyzing the battlefield, understanding the situation and the enemy's tactics. Luna nodded, her expression focused and resolute.

"Understood." Luna's voice was calm, but her eyes were blazing with determination. They had to fight smart, or they wouldn't survive.

The enemies were fast, their rifles and knives ready to strike at any opening. Luna couldn't afford to waste any time. With extreme speed, Luna dashed forward like a bolt of lightning, her target in sight. The sniper, hidden in the trees, pointed his rifle at her and fired. Luna, with a burst of booster energy, slid beneath the incoming barrage of bullets, narrowly avoiding them.

Rika took a breath and fired continuously, sending a barrage of bullets toward the enemies, forcing them to retreat slightly. It wasn't enough to stop them, but it bought Luna the opening she needed.

"Fire kick!" Luna's leg burst into flames, and she launched herself at the sniper with incredible force. Her target attempted to raise his weapon to block, but Luna was too fast. Her foot connected with his leg, sending the heavy Digimon soaring into the air. As he began to crash back down, Luna quickly followed up with another kick to his chest, sending him crashing to the ground. Before he could recover, Luna threw a kunai at his injured body, targeting vital points to incapacitate him.

The sniper managed to block the majority of the diamond storm that followed, but Luna could see the damage on his body. He was weakening, and that was enough for her. She needed to take them down one by one—that was the only way to survive.

Meanwhile, Rika was in her element, using her chains to block and deflect incoming attacks. She was dodging, weaving, and keeping the enemies distracted, but it was hard. Every moment they were surrounded increased the danger, and she couldn't afford to lose focus.

"Wings of Light!" Rika decided it was time to give Luna an advantage. She channeled energy into her own body, and wings of light erupted from her back, boosting her speed and adding a layer of protection for the next phase of the attack. Luna, with a new speed advantage, could now take to the air.

With a burst of energy, Luna shot into the sky, now flying with incredible speed. She was like a guided missile, focused solely on her target. Fox Bomber! Luna covered herself in blue flames, her leg ignited with intense heat as she dived down toward the Commandramon below.

The Commandramon, getting live data from Searchmon and Monitamon, anticipated the attack. He raised his arms to block the incoming Fox Bomber, but it wasn't enough. Luna crashed into him with the force of a meteor, the shockwave sending them both crashing into a tree. The impact was so powerful that the tree cracked under the weight, splintering and falling to the side.

Luna didn't have time to relish the moment. The remaining enemies were already moving, trying to reach their fallen comrade. Rika wasn't about to let them. She used her metal chains to block their attacks and disrupt their movements. She managed to snag one of them and throw him at the others, but an explosion rocked the area, throwing Rika back. A bullet whizzed past her, narrowly missing her head.

Her barrier held, but it was weakening, and she could feel her energy reserves dropping. She had to act fast, or they'd be overrun.

The Digivice—the key to their survival—reminded them both of its importance in times like these. It was more than just a tool; it was their lifeline, their last defense against the chaos they were facing.

The battlefield was a storm of chaos, gunfire, and calculated movements. Henry had no time to waste—his foes were relentless, and their hacking protocols were constantly trying to shut down his tech. If he lost control over his systems, they would be dead in minutes.

But Tesla wasn't just any Digimon.

With a sharp slash of the Human Form Card, Tesla's form shifted. He no longer resembled the large, cute bunny that most underestimated. Instead, he transformed into a lean, muscled humanoid fighter—his new form sleek and built for speed and mobility.

His size remained the same, but the raw power that came with the transformation changed the flow of battle. His movement was now unpredictable, a blur of rapid dashes and aerial maneuvers, making him a nightmare to track.

The enemy had made a crucial mistake— underestimating Tesla.

Henry, however, had no time for arrogance. He was fully engaged in cyber warfare, constantly counter-hacking their attacks and preventing them from shutting down his team's equipment. His super perception had been running at full throttle since the battle started, feeding him data at inhuman speeds. But it was a double-edged sword—if he didn't finish this battle soon, the strain would knock him unconscious.

Taking a deep breath, Henry adjusted Tesla's combat enhancements and quickly programmed an electric bomb. He increased its output, modifying it to cause a surge of electric current in a wide radius.

Tesla knew what to do.

With a burst from his boosters, Tesla dashed around the battlefield, his twin machine guns firing a relentless stream of bullets. The rapid suppressive fire forced the three enemies to take cover, giving Henry the opening he needed.

Henry took the opportunity and threw the electric bomb.

Tesla caught him midair, quickly repositioning them behind the enemies before shooting the bomb.

BOOM!

A deafening explosion shook the battlefield as lightning surged through the area, thrashing everything in its radius. The output was so strong that even their own equipment flickered and jammed momentarily, but they had prepared for this.

The enemies survived, their armor and resistances absorbing most of the damage, but their communicators were fried. They were now forced to rely on visual and hand signals to coordinate.

Tesla didn't wait—he dropped Henry safely before launching himself back into combat.

Henry, not missing a beat, added more energy to Tesla's armor, upgrading his booster systems for even greater speed.

Tesla flashed forward, closing the distance instantly. His fist crashed into one enemy's chest with enough force to dent their armor, while at the same time, he swung his head, sending his weaponized ears spinning like deadly blades.

WHAM!

The attack struck the other two enemies, sending them stumbling back, but they quickly regained their footing and blocked with their knives.

Before they could counterattack, Henry lowered the boost's output, making Tesla launch into the air instead of staying in melee range. As Tesla ascended, he dropped small bombs, detonating them mid-air.

The explosions weren't enough to eliminate the enemies, but they threw them off balance.

Then— CRACK!

A sniper shot rang through the battlefield.

Tesla grunted as his gun arm was destroyed, the anti-tank round piercing through his weapon. He barely managed to stabilize himself mid-air before diving toward the downed enemy.

Henry didn't hesitate—he slashed another card, enhancing Tesla's next attack.

Tesla's body spun rapidly, his form twisting into a deadly spiral. He became a living tornado, surrounded by an aura of cutting winds, his entire body transformed into a vortex of doom.

Like a drill missile, he crashed down onto the Commandramon, the sheer force of the attack ripping through his armor.

The result was gruesome.

The Commandramon was torn apart in a flash of wind and metal, his data fragments dissolving into the air.

Tesla landed, standing over what remained of his target.

His body was splattered with gore and blood, the red stains contrasting against his sleek, futuristic armor.

His eyes glowed, flickering dangerously as he turned his attention toward the remaining two enemies.

A dangerous presence.

A warning.

They had underestimated Tesla.

And now they would pay the price.

Naruto stood firm, watching the battlefield with sharp eyes. The leader of the Wild Digimon wasn't the brutish Sealsdramon or any of the high-ranking Champions—it was the tiny mouse perched on the back.

A single glance was enough for Naruto to understand.

Tyu was the true mastermind, and while Naruto wasn't particularly worried about him, he couldn't ignore the possibility of Sealsdramon or other Champions interfering. He needed to keep his focus split while handling the real threat.

Tyu, on the other hand, was furious.

His meticulously laid-out plans had collapsed before his eyes. The D-Brigade was fully occupied, and reinforcements would take too long to arrive. His pawns were gone, his Champions were losing, and now, a hidden Tamer with a Champion-level ally had emerged.

This wasn't part of the calculation.

Even worse, the Woodmon were at a massive disadvantage, especially with Fire Digimon joining the battle.

Tyu could rebuild his forces—that wasn't the issue.

The problem was whether he should stay and fight or flee.

He had received a warning from Searchmon's Identification Ability. The Tamer was dangerous—one of the New Types capable of fighting Champion Digimon directly.

At first glance, Naruto didn't look like much, but appearances were deceiving.

And then there was Asura, a powerful Digimon partner that had already shown the ability to destroy the Woodmon.

Retreat was an option.

But Naruto's stance said otherwise—he wasn't letting Tyu go.

Tyu's eyes burned with fear, rage, and greed. If he could kill Naruto, his body's data could elevate Dame to new heights—perhaps even to Mega Level.

He couldn't back down now.

Tyu gave the order.

"Dame, finish him."

Naruto's Counter: Powering Up Asura

Naruto remained calm, watching as Dame prepared to strike.

"Asura, I will support you."

Naruto placed his hand on Asura's body, and chakra surged into his partner.

Asura had learned to enhance himself with chakra, but the difference in power between him and Naruto was colossal. With Naruto's chakra enhancement, Asura's stats were pushed to Champion-level instantly.

But there was a cost.

Rookie Digimon couldn't handle such a sudden surge of power for long. Their bodies weren't built for it.

Naruto didn't take risks—he slashed a card to provide extra support.

Diamond Body.

Asura's form solidified, his muscles growing denser, and his body more durable.

Now, he could handle the power boost without breaking down.

The difference in size was still apparent—Asura and Naruto stood about the same height, while Damemon was twice their size. But Naruto wasn't concerned about size.

He had faced giants before.

Tyu gritted his teeth. He wouldn't take any chances.

"Dame, transform."

In a flash, Damemon shed his disguise, revealing his true form

Tuwarmon.

Unlike a traditional evolution, this was the Ninja Art Transformation. Tuwarmon was not an actual Ultimate-level Digimon—instead, it was a combat-oriented form, sacrificing defense for extreme speed.

Tuwarmon was a Mutant Digimon—a true ninja.

Before, he had hidden his real abilities beneath the Huffy Armor, disguising himself as a fool to deceive enemies. Now, the armor was released, split apart into boosters, increasing his agility and maneuverability to the level of wind itself.

His movements became impossible to track, and his attack versatility skyrocketed.

His Mantis Arm weapons could be:

Sickle-nunchaku (linked by an electromagnetic chain)

A long-handled polearm for sweeping attacks

A boomerang, allowing for ranged assaults

He could switch between them freely, adapting to any combat situation.

Tyu had studied this form well and trained Damemon extensively in its use.

This was his trump card.

He knew there was no raw power boost, but speed could be deadlier than strength.

Naruto's Reaction: Excitement

Naruto's lips curled into a grin.

His battle instincts roared at the sight of Tuwarmon's transformation.

"A ninja, huh?" he muttered. "This is gonna be fun."

He recognized the style instantly.

Tuwarmon's fighting style was eerily familiarstealth, deception, assassination, and overwhelming speed.

It was just like facing a shinobi from home.

And if there was one thing Naruto knew

It was how to beat a ninja.

Battle Start! —
