Chapter 97 - Proprietress

As soon as they entered the building, they saw women who had applied thick rouge on their lips and cheeks, some of them dressed in imagination provoking clothes and some of them in the traditional everyday attire.

Off to the sides, were seating areas with tables and chairs placed in clusters and many men could be seen enjoying food and wine while talking to each other. 

In the centre of the hall was a raised platform akin to a stage on which a few musicians we're playing instruments while some other ladies danced to the tune. 

Their dance moves were akin to butterflies fluttering from one flower to another - the movements so light and being able to whet and arouse the appetites of all the customers in the room. 

A bit further away was a staircase that led to a row of rooms that were visible from the entrance of the establishment itself.
