"Hey, Loli! Did Dillan eat his dinner?" Kaamu happily waved to her, outside the room, missed her dimmed face. Her long hair hid the tears. Without replied to him, she dashed her way, leaving Kaamu puzzled on the spot. He blinked to her back.
"She must need to go to the toilet really bad," he scratched his non-itchy head with a shrug. He knocked on the door but didn't wait for the permission to enter; he just barged in.
Touma was eating as he expected, not even bothered with him.
"Dillan! Everything is in place," he showed him two thumbs up with a very wide smile, "Three of them agree with your term, but only two people refused to conceit." his smiled maintain on his face, and now, he waggled his eyebrows. Waiting for Touma to praise him.
"Alana and Keanu?"
The praise he waited nowhere to be seen but Kaamu being Kaamu, he continued to answer him, "Alana is still in the hospital, and Keanu is going crazy looking for Layla and err… me. Hehehe… Sorry, boss! But Keanu still didn't realise the missing ledger."
Touma replied with a nod, not even a slight change of expression on his face. He took the tablet and tapped on a few pictures, and an evil smirk appeared giving goosebumps to Kaamu. He reminded himself not to be on Touma's bad side ever.
"Err… What should I do next?" As soon as the words flew from his mouth, he received a text message from Touma. He squinted his eyes to the name on his phone. He knew that person Touma wants, but the problem is that the person is private and conscientious. No one ever heard any bad things about him.
"Get me that person and both of Mahoe's sons. Then, get me poppers too."
"Poppers? Do you mean the poppers? The same drug Alana used for Miss Layla?"
"Hmm.."
"How much do you want, boss?"
"Enough to kill." Touma smiled. The smile supposed to accentuate his mighty handsome demeanour but it emitted devilish aura instead. Kaamu throat felt dry. He averted his eyes and staring on the floor. He doesn't know why he acted like that, but his guts said he should.
"Kaamu, send flower to Alana in the hospital. Invite her to dinner with us after her discharge."
"No way!" he instantly refused, but Touma piercing gaze blocked his next word. He gulped.
"Err… I mean, boss…. She is our enemy… Why do you want to invite her to dinner?"
Rather than satisfied Kaamu with the answer, he just waved his hand with a lazy look on his face. Kaamu knew he shouldn't press more about it if he values his life. He bowed to Touma and showed himself out. He was still puzzled with him.

Kahina woke up due to the numbness she felt on her right hand. She tried to open her eyes, but the gritty feeling on it put a frown on her face. She instinctively pulled her right hand to rub the eyes, but the heaviness on it stopped her. Her eyes narrowed to her right hand and what she witnesses makes spring season comes early to her heart.
Touma was sleeping soundly with calm breathing, indicated he was in a deep sleep. Kahina sluggishly turned her body to watch him much closer. The gentle snuffles and rhythmic rise and fall of his chest soothes Kahina. He looked so relaxed.
She wanted to stare some more, but her hand refused to cooperate. The sharp tingling pain started to spread and gave her uncomfortable pain.
"Sweetheart… My love…" she shook his shoulder gently but no response. She tried again and this time a bit harder.
"Hmmm…" he opened his eyes only to see Kahina sweet smile accosted him.
"Morning, my love," she teased his hair, messed it up, but his good looking face becomes sexier with his pout.
"Morning, Kahina. How is your feeling? Any pain? Are you hungry? Any headache or discomfort? Do you want me to call a doctor? Do you want water?" his raspy voice fired machine-gun questions, hit Kahina before she could reply any of it.
"Arghh!" she clamped her chest and squinted. Touma immediately stood up and approached her. Holds both of her shoulder to face him.
"Your heart in pain?! Wait, I call the doctor!" He pulled out the phone and dialled the number, but Kahina stopped him by holding his hand.
"I think a kiss would make the pain go away. Let's try it!" She grinned as cute as she possibly could to him. All she wanted was to tease him, but Touma surprised her when he pulled her to his embrace. Hug her tight like she was really precious.
"Errr... My love... you suffocate me..." He tightened the hug, doesn't even bother to Kahina's whining. Both their heartbeat beating in the rhythm created a lovely song for them. Kahina smile and returned the hug, rubbing his back gently.
"What's wrong, my love?" Kahina can sense his troubled heart.
"Please… Please… You are not allowed to do that again!" He pushed her shoulder to force Kahina to see how serious he was. Very serious, indeed, but Kahina wasn't. Kahina understands what he was talking about, but she can't agree to that. Their life will be much more dangerous in future and protecting Touma is one of her priority. To avoid giving in with his request, her naughty brain already planned her next move.
"Touma…" she clamped his cheek in between her palms, "Alana kissed me. Please remind me of your taste…" she narrowed the distance of her face with him, and her lips pout like a duck and her eyes closed but to make sure he didn't run, but the kiss she waited never come. She squinted to peek at him, but she unexpectedly received a blow to her forehead. Touma smirked with satisfaction.
"Ouch!!! That's hurt! You can't hit a patient!" She rubbed her forehead to ease the pain. It's really painful!
Touma chuckled as he blew her forehead gently. He did hit her hard; the redness on her forehead was the proof. The spark of regret ignite in his heart, but naughty Kahina deserved it. He blew a little closer and gave her a long kiss on her forehead.
He patted her, "Is it still painful?" he asked jokingly to Kahina moonstruck jaw-dropping face.
