Chapter 58 - HE WILL WORK HARD TO GET HER!

Yuxi was beaten from head to toe.

Oh no. I'm totally drenched. She complained internally.

Immediately the rain started, the bus arrived and she ran in but then, remembering she had to walk from the hotel's main gate to their apartment she cried internally.

She was drenched up by the time she got to the door.

When Mrs Bai saw her she was shocked.

"Didn't you go look for work? Why are you back so early?"

"Mother I'm soaked all through and you only care about why I'm back so early..." She ran to the bathroom and her mother followed.

"You have been home all this while and today you finally go out to look for job and it starts pouring heavily..."

"The heaven might be against me getting a work then," Yuxi chuckled.

"I pray that isn't true!" Her mother rejected the idea.

"Ok. I will go search again tomorrow." She assured the woman.

She smiled a bit and left Yuxi to her own device.

Yuxi smiled bitterly in the bathroom. It's sad that i went out today and it rained. Almighty please don't tell me I'm not meant to find a job.

I pray that isn't true too!

In a conference room inside the Four Wheels cooperation.

Zhaolin listened, 'well not listening with all his attention' as an employee gave out a new design.

He had a light frown on his face. He was thinking about his little boy and at the same time Xueyan.

She occupied almost all part of his brain while he only worried whether Zhihao was perfectly dressed or not.

Secretary Jiang saw him and felt like something was wrong with his boss. The man was barely lost in his thinking. He noticed that for some days now Zhaolin barely listened to what was being said, be it meeting with the employees or even the one that included the shareholders. He was his secretary so he couldn't possibly know everything that had to do with him or his private life. So he knew little about what was wrong with his boss. The little he knew though was that the man had less family problem, even if his aunty didn't want him as the CEO, she still didn't cause trouble, so what could possibly be wrong with him? The only person capable of knowing that will be Riuwen.

Now thinking about Riuwen, he remembered the young miss of the Feng family. Feng Jiuwen she had introduced herself as.

Fifteen minutes later the meeting came to an end, Secretary Jiang carried the designs and followed Zhaolin out. Once they got to Zhaolin's office, he began to recount almost everything that had been said, while Zhaolin was in his own world.

Zhaolin paid more or less attention as his mind wandered out of the office.

His mind went back to the time they had met at the supermarket, she looked nothing like she was in her younger age.

He remembered they hadn't been poor, they lived a comfortable life and she was as bright as a sunflower. But then, she had been expelled from school, well that's according to what his friends had said. He had little or almost no power then, he couldn't do a thing, he couldn't look up for her. There was no single information leading to her or anything related to her. After the school party that day, he woke up to realize he had been in the hospital for twenty-one days. He didn't believe it, taking it as a mere joke until he saw the calendar. After that he'd lose consciousness sometimes, only to wake up and realize he had slept for hours.

He tried living without her after he returned from overseas. Yes, he did until she reappeared. She reappeared just like the same way she had disappeared. What had she been up to these past few years? She isn't the same cheerful Xueyan she used to be. He wants to know how she lived, what she did, what she ate, what she wore... He wants to know every little information concerning her! But how can he do that when she had thrown him out without giving him a listening ear? She wants nothing to do with me.

Bai Qingran, he also wants to know about the little girl. Had Xueyan being married before? If so, where is Qingran's farther? And why does she have to go with the Bai surname? He couldn't even investigate her past life, what happened before she moved to Beijing and now she's back in Shanghai.

I lack in so many things except the business brain I was gifted by the Almighty. How can I get her back when I have never dated anyone else but her... Not that we lasted that long... I need to make it up for all these years I haven't been with her. All these years i haven't been able to find her! All these years that all I did was think about Zhihao, the company and my family, I have to make up for all of them! Now who am I going to ask for help? I can't possibly ask those stupid friends of mine, Jingyao has little or no experience just like me, but, Xiangyang? Hell no! That womanizer. Riu... It suddenly dawned on him, Jiuwen. She had said all sorts of things the last time she came, she might be of help. Yes...

"Sir?"

"Sir? Young Master..." He heard Secretary Jiang call out to him a few times and finally came back to his senses.

"Are you alright, sir?"

He nodded and didn't say a word.

"I need your signatures on these submits. We will start working on them. They all look good and bountiful. Do you want to review them yourself?"

"I will do that then send for you,"

"Ok then," Secretary Jiang said and took a step back. "If you will excuse me,"

"Mhm." Zhaolin simply answered and Jiang turned and left.

Zhaolin took out his phone to call Jiu, Am I really going to allow Jiu help me pursue my woman? He questioned himself then put the idea at the back of his mind.

He will get her for himself, using his own hard work.

He thought for a while then put his phone away, he looked out the window to see rain drizzling to a stop. He began reviewing the designs that had been submitted. After reading and making sure it was ok, he would then sign.

His phone rang, it was her again. Xiao Shiya was boldly written on the caller ID. He bet she didn't know yet that he was back.

She called again. She only stopped when he didn't pick up after four times.

His phone lit up again, this time it was a message. Well she's truly persistent.
