Chapter 2 - Panic

I laid on the wooden deck of the boat, trying not to panic or throw up. I glanced out at sea and frowned. The rail was silver, cylindrical, and metal. I wasn't used to that...

I snatched at a fragment of a memory, only to have it dissolve into my nothingness of a mind again. I scowled and glared at the rolling sea next to me. I dug through my mind, trying so desperately hard to remember something.

But the harder I tried, the more painful it became and the more distant my forgotten memories seemed. A rise of panic swelled up in my chest, much like the swells of the ocean below me. I could not remember anything.

I was alone in a world where who you are was everything and I had no clue who I was.
