Chapter 89 - HE STILL CARE

Inside a room that lack of lightning the five guards, who originally were guarding Qianru during her visit to the palace, were kneeling on the ground.

In front of them was a livid and injured Xiao Jun, who was sitting on the chair, with Liu Wei behind him tended his wounded back.

"… That was what had happened in the palace." One of the guards ended his story.

They were called right away after Xiao Jun saw the unusual behavior of Qianru. It was wrong for him to leave her behind for three days straight without giving her any explanation.

But he didn't go for vacation. He went to a dangerous place to meet a vicious man, who caused the injury on his back.

It was a habit for him to not let Qianru knew where he would go. In his mind, it would be safe that way for her.

The thing that he had miscalculated was the fact that they were not in Azura, the place that Qianru felt safe even without his presence, the place where she was familiar with and where her family were living.

Here, Qianru felt so vulnerable, added that to Zhao Tianqi's hostility and Mo Qin Yi's attempt to flirt with her, along with Xiao Jun's absence, all of that was like a stack of anxiety and stress that weight her down.

Making her felt uneasy for these past three days.

However, Xiao Jun didn't think further about that and only thought that Qianru was upset with the way Zhao Tianqi, Mo Qin Yi and the other noble family who were presence that had treated her unfairly.

Xiao Jun was barely walking when he was waiting for Qianru's arrival, she should have arrived an hour before, if she appeared any later he would have gone to look for her by himself.

As Qianru was always worry of him, there was one time when she saw his wound after a battle and she cried like there was no tomorrow, after that he would never show her any of his injuries.

That was why, with his current condition, the moment he knew what the issue that made his woman upset, he walked away to sort the issue out.

Even though Xiao Jun's face was extremely pale, but his eyes showed dissatisfaction toward those people who were kneeling in front of him.

There was an eerie silence that stretched inside the room, as no one from them was courageous enough to raise their head.

"Leave." Xiao Jun dismissed them eventually, only then they could sigh in relief.

After there was only Xiao Jun and Liu Wei, his personal guard talked gingerly. "Master, what will your plan for them?" He asked while kept cleaning his Master's wound.

Liu Wei had been following Xiao Jun for years and he knew very well everything that his master had done to those people who bullied his mistress. None of them would have escaped without retribution.

Despite the rumors among the servant in the Mansion that Xiao Jun didn't fancy his wife, the truth was, he cared to his wife much more than he let people saw it.

"Let the Emperor know that I accept his invitation to live in the palace." Xiao Jun said with cold tone.
