Chapter 55 - DON'T PUSH ME AWAY

Qianru rushed back home when she knew Xiao Jun and Xiao Tianyao had engaged in fight. Based on the way Xiao Tianyao's wounds, then Xiao Jun wouldn't be any better either.

Therefore, the first thing she asked to the female servant, who greeted her the moment she had just arrived, had Xiao Jun returned yet.

"Prince Xiao Jun has returned an hour ago, but…" The young female servant hesitated to tell her.

"What happened?" Qianru furrowed her eyebrows and looked at her impatiently.

"Prince Xiao Jun has many injuries. Seemingly Prince has had a fight…"

Qianru sighed a deep breath when she heard about this. "Has the physician seen the wounds?"

The young female servant shook her head. "Prince Xiao Jun didn't want to see anyone."

"Where is he now?"

"In his bedroom…" She glanced at Qianru, but when her Mistress was about to heading the direction of Xiao Jun's room, she stopped her. "Princess Qianru… all people from Prince Xiao Jun's courtyard said that the Prince didn't want to meet anyone."

Other people might only know that Xiao Jun and Qianru were two childhood sweetheart who ended up together, but people who were inside the mansion knew it better.

Xiao Jun didn't treat Qianru poorly, however the way he always tried to put her an arm length and the lack of affection between them, made it clear that her position in Xiao Jun's mansion was only his wife by name without any favor.

Thus, by mentioning 'anyone', Qianru was included.

The young female servant was scared to tell her about this. But, in two years their marriage, one could say nothing much happened between them.

Xiao Jun spent a lot of time away from the mansion, but the short moment he was there, he never tried to engage in conversation with Qianru if it wasn't necessary.

Even there was time when Qianru invited Xiao Jun for having breakfast or dinner together, but almost every time also, he would turn her down.

During that time, Qianru was very understanding and with smile on her lips, she made an excuse for her husband swiftly that he was too busy and asked the servant to send meal to him, but the disappointment in her eyes were prominent.

These things had become small talk among the servants in their leisure time.

Qianru aware about this, but the things between them had changed for these past two days. Did she still mean nothing to him?

"Should this servant call physician again to tend Prince Xiao Jun injuries?" The young female servant suggested.

She had been with Qianru since the moment she entered the mansion and often by her side, so she was able to say that her Mistress was worried about the Prince, but like always, she couldn't step any further.

However this time it was different.

"Bring me gauzes and medicines for injuries, I will tend the wounds by myself." Qianru said calmly.

"But princess…"

"It's fine. I will just tend my husband's wounds, there was nothing wrong with that." Qianru stood there patiently, waiting for the young servant to bring the things that she needed.

Looking at how Qianru had made up her mind, the young servant bowed her head and scuttled away.

At the place where Qianru was standing, the strong gust of wind blew the hem of her dress and her long black hair. The pale moonlight fell on her face as she looked at the direction of Xiao Jun's courtyard with distance eyes. She didn't know how far their relationship had progressed, but she was willing to give it a try.

"Don't push me away again this time Jun…" Qianru whispered into the wind.
