After he had sent the 'winner' his goods. Saoi spent his time planning a few other things as he waited, his own account of the game was adjusted in a way that one wouldn't realize in game. It wasn't until looking into his actual account that one would see the differences. A linked account was waiting, greyed out as the other bid his time for it to go online.
His actions in the game felt rather relaxed to the older male. When Ai finally entered the game, he logged into his own account to wait somewhere off in the outer areas where he wouldn't be rushed upon. He was used to people treating him with odd fanfare in the real world.
Though he hadn't thought such things would transfer into the game he had created on the side with some friends. Sure he was in truth the strongest player, but that was due to his admin abilities along with understanding how the game itself worked in a way others couldn't. He created it after all.
The only other players that could come close to his ability level were his friends that helped him with making the game, but they weren't on as much as Saoi was. Mostly because they had opted to go into different colleges. This game had been a pastime before they had started college, just after finishing high-school before their final break before becoming 'adults'.
When Saoi finally saw Ai get into the game, he laughed to himself as he quickly went to find his kitten, wondering what kind of class the boy would have chosen! He had managed to work out a different view of the character selection for Ai, leading to it being more appealing for the race he had wanted, but he wasn't sure Ai really would fall for it.
When the boy did, he was floored! He then managed to use his admin abilities to rig a 'bond' to the male that no one else would be able to fully pull off. It was in truth much like its original, but the difference was that 'Wang', his in game character, would in truth have more influences on his 'spirit' beast as well as unlocked abilities in affecting the others mood not only in the game. It would be rather weak, and more like a second voice telling the other 'don't worry, just go like this' in a soft voice.
The first night they played together, Saoi found himself really pleased. He had programmed Ai to spawn in his secondary forest that mimicked the starting one, In game it would appear the same, but most wouldn't be able to find its location, even failing to understand that there were two 'newbie' forests at the starting village.
This was because it was made to help with overflow should the game servers gain more players then they had first thought.
Thankfully it had only been used during the first few months of the games launch, and slowly became forgotten as the new players now only stayed near the village, and rarely went to explore the outer areas. They were too focused on following quests or missions to level up and leave the starting area!
His time with his little kitten went on with no one interrupting their time, and Saoi found that this was even better then the mornings they spent together. For one, Ai wasn't distracted with nagging him on how his room was dirty or busying himself cleaning. He just focused on following "Wang's" instructions on how to level up!
That aside, he was also able to go and nuzzle the little fox whenever he wanted to, getting chances to eat some tofu without Ai realizing this! In the real world, he had to keep up his 'face' so that Ai wouldn't flee from him.
It wasn't until Ai had randomly started in an embarrassed manner that he needed to sleep that Saoi realized their time would be rather limited in this aspect.
Sure, he has adjusted so time flowed differently in the game, one would be able to play 'hours and hours' in the game while only half the time passed in the real world. But alas, time still did go on. It wasn't odd that the time would be rather late, being as they had started in the later part of the afternoon.
When he realized that he needed to change some things to make his time with Ai in the game more enjoyable with no sudden ends. Saoi used his free time for gaming, trying to find a way to halt the time a bit more, so he could spend longer with his little kitten. He hadn't realized how much time had truly passed, often enjoying his time with Ai in the real world as well.
He even managed to find some excuses to spend longer times with Ai, inviting him out, or sneaking his way to Ai's room. It was also during this time that not only did Saoi find out about the annoying roommate that hurt his eyes, he'd even gone so far as to put in a few hidden....features, in the others room when he had the chance to.
Time passed, and Saoi ended up in a situation where he often stalked the youth he targeted, watching his every movement either hidden in the shadows, or with the little bugs he'd planted around the other. Finally, Saoi realized that this wouldn't work. He needed another way to keep Ai away from all the other possible threats. Namely, that roommate that seemed to not understand his mood, always getting way too close to his little kitten.
Thus, with a renewed passion, he began to work through some bugs, testing a great deal of things before he finally managed to possibly break into the realm of the unknown. His heart was sped up as he began to slowly work into place the net that would help him keep his little kitten at his side, unable to be snatched by others.
(( Hopefully this can shed some light into how and why Saoi aka "Wang" did what he did? maybe...Also yes, i realized doing this would reveal who 'Wang' was...but, honestly I think it might have been implied? maybe? >.< oh well. Please, let me know your thoughts! ))
