Chapter 4 - Chapter 4

Edited by: Mystic

Ai Yui tilted his head to the side as he looked up at the male. He seemed to have this odd feeling that he should flee. Though that made no sense at all. Why should he run from another player in a game?

Tossing the feeling to the back of his mind he shifted slightly, his tails twitching as debted what he should do now. "So um..." he began slowly standing up. "You'll show me how to...ah...fight?" he said. It was so hard staying in character, but he honestly had no idea what to do ah!

Yao Wang gave a bright smile as he gave a slight nod, his head shifting to the side as the bright red hair fell over, hanging as he moved to pat the little fox's head. "But of course! Though there is a slight issue," he said, his expression changing as if here were conflicted with something.

Ai Yui was starting to get excited but felt a bit of dred seep in when the other said there was an issue. "Ah? What?! Did I do something wrong?" he asked worriedly. Maybe he wasn't supposed to leave the starting yet, or he'd wondered to far from where he was supposed to be to level up? He really should have tried to find more information on the game before just jumping in.

Yao Wang, however, kept his expression as one that was unsure of what to do, but inside he was filled with glee! Ah, it was so easy to trick the little guy. Really now, it was simply like taking candy from a child!

"Well you see, I'm not of the same race as you yea? So in order for me to help we have to partner up. But sadly your race isn't like the others. In order to partner up, we have to bind together... You understand that this isn't something I can help right?" he stated as if it was mere fact. Though Wang was lying through his teeth. He was just hoping that he'd guessed right, and the little fox didn't understand how parties worked.

Ai Yui pouted slightly as he lowered his head, he really didn't understand why his race was the only one so different ah! Hateful! He really disliked the class he chose now. If he could, he'd demand a re-due this instant! "What do I do now? I can't change my race can I?" he asked seeming upset.

Wang smiled softly, very pleased with his own performance. He really would have to teach this guy not to be so trusting! Well, of course, this was after they did the binding spell. "Don't worry. It's not hard to do the binding, it's kind of like adding me to a friends list. You just have to let me do it and then we can get you leveling up in no time!" he said as if it were nothing of importance.

Ai tilted his head again, seeming unsure, but he really didn't want to be a weak little fox forever ah! "Okay...Um go ahead?" he said. The other said he just had to let him do the binding spell right? So it shouldn't be too hard...

After Ai Yui agreed, Wang smiled to himself as he moved his hand to rest on the little fox's head, he closed his eyes and slowly began to mutter something that sounded like a spell to Ai, but he wasn't really sure what words were being used. It was way too softly spoken! Soon a bright light filled his vision and a ding sounded before he saw a prompt stating that he now had a master?

Wait, master?! "What? Master? I thought you said it was like a frie-" he started to say before he was picked up, his small form being pressed against the other's chest as he held him close.

"Mn, Yeah, See? I'm on the friend's list now if you look at it" Wang said as he began to walk through the forest, ignoring the fox's struggles as he held him close. He finally got him, like he'd let the little thing run off now. Hah!

Ai was panicking as he was being carried off to who knows where when he heard the male explain, he quickly pulled up the list of 'friends' and indeed he did see Wang's name, though it wasn't really calming as it was stated in the list that he also had 'Owner' tag next to it.

Wang brought Ai to a small field before sitting him down, his mood really good as he shifted to sit next to the little fox making sure to keep an eye on him just in case he ran for it. "Look there, see those little things? You go attack them. And you'll level up." he said pointing to the cluster of slims.

Ai was still pouting when he was placed down, having given up on fleeing. Through the whole walk to the field Wang and ignored all his questions on what it meant to have a 'Master'. He really was too hateful! "Ah? attack them how?" he asked looking at the slims.

Suddenly a screen popped up in his view listing his stats and what he could do for attacks. Though most of his skills were labeled 'unknown'. The only thing he had was claw!

Figuring it wouldn't be too hard, Ai made his way over, glancing back to Wang every now and then before he was close enough to attack. He enabled his skill and jumped at the closest slime, slicing it with his claws swiftly.

Sadly though, only did 4 damage and the slime turned and jumped at him, slamming into his little body. It caused him to tumble back, a prompt showing he had lost nearly half his life blinked and he cried invisible tears! Ah! Truly hateful!!

Wang laughed as he shifted his hand, waving it at the little guy, healing him back to full health. "Go again," he stated as if nothing had happened.

Thus began Ai's mission at killing slimes. He would attack, be attacked, get healed and repeat until all the slimes were dead. Slowly his skill level and his character level increased until he was level 5 and now did 14 damage! This was going to be a long road. heuheu~

Thankfully whatever Wang had done to bind him, at least he didn't have to worry about his health. The guy made sure to heal him before he died ah! Maybe he wasn't so bad after all.
