Chapter 6 - We Like to Have fun Here

June's consciousness slowly drifted back to her as her surroundings came into view. She needed a moment to shed the sleepiness from her brain. While the numb ache she felt in her body rose up. It became apparent to her that the fall she had taken was not merely a dream and she was, in fact, laying on the cold floor.

"What?" She mumbled as she sat up from her laying position.

She didn't think it was possible for someone to be so sleepy. She had at least never fallen out on the floor because of sleep. It was a shocking experience.

"Hmm, I guess I was tired, " she Shrugged off.

Although she couldn't accept the small excuse in her heart. Her mind kept thinking about it and going over what could have caused it. She had a sleeping routine since her rebirth so she shouldn't have been tired. Yet she was, not only that she only got worse.

In her previous life, she remembered whatever she got sleepy moving around always helped. The sleepiness would soon disappear. Yet in that situation moving around caused her to become even more sleepy.

Thinking more on it the sensation was also strange. It reminded her greatly of how she died. Like then she felt helpless to her body shutting down on her. All she could do was mentally fight what was physically happening.

To that her first thought was problems with her reincarnation. Still, she ended up shooting that one down as she didn't feel like her soul was being sucked out of the body. She didn't feel cold either her body if anything was a little overheated.

"What could it be than-."

In the middle of her words, a dreadful thought popped up into her head. It was something she had known about but held off from pondering over. Maybe it was her mind giving her a break from all the problems stacking up one after the other but this one, in particular, was one of the biggest. It should have been the first she put thought into but it wasn't.

"I have Sleeping Beauty syndrome, don't I..."

She remembered reading about it in June Lee's file. Still, at the time she didn't think about how important that was. She was, after all, a completely healthy human being before her death. To her at first, glance what was written in the file was foreign.

That in mind she thought back to what was in the file. If she remembered correctly then June was a very unhealthy woman. To begin with, she has a special and serious case. From a young age, she developed the syndrome and would often visit hospitals. She didn't fall asleep for long, the longest before her three months hibernation was a simple week. Something that doesn't sound too bad until June thought about the average amount of time she would fall asleep.

She would sleep once or twice a month meaning she had the potential of sleeping two weeks of her month away every month. That was if she didn't think about her body spontaneously sleeping for a long period. It was no wonder her parents abandon her. With such a sick daughter any normal household would be deep in debt over her.

Regardless of that what she was worried about was the uncurable element of the syndrome. There wasn't much known about it so people with it had to live their life one day at a time. Something she didn't have the luxury of doing. Not with her current standards of jobless and homeless. She really had gotten the worst possible reincarnation choice.

June sighed trying to think on the bright side but from where she stood she didn't see one. Her only opportunity was marrying a rich guy.

That way she could be taking care of accordingly. The problem with that one was, of course, where was she going to find one of those. Someone like that wouldn't going to drop out of the sky and even if they did in her opinion she didn't have the charm to get such a man.

In all the books she had read she came to the conclusion that a man like that wasn't normal. They were always perfect Mary Sue's so they didn't need anything. Everything they wanted was always in their hands annoyingly enough.

On that note, June closed her eyes and sighed as she gently pinches the bridge of her nose, " nevermind if I keep thinking about this I'll only end up doing something stupid. Let's just check my bank account."

Finally setting out on a task June retrieved her phone. She became aware of two headache-inducing problems.

The first one she was ready for and had already thought hard on. The date showed she had been sleeping for two days straight before she woke up in the rainy afternoon confirming that she had the syndrome. The next one just about made her have a heart attack.

In the middle of typing in her account password and an ad had popped up for the latest news. She ignored it but somehow her fingers ended up tapping on the pop-up. This led her to a page with the caption:

BREAKING NEWS JIN PARK EXPOSED

Jin was the pop star she met only two days before. He was caught in a major scandal that could end his tour before it began! The scandal from what she understood was about him having a secret child. This child to her horror was her.

There was no mistaking it the pictures of her entering and exiting his hospital room made sure of that. The page even had eyewitness reports and quotes from people who saw everything go down. What made it worse was the number of people trying to confirm the matter. June could find side by side profiles of them both with blonde and black hair filters.

'Sh*t! That d*mn hacker! I could believe we're family!'

June wasted no time immediately going on to interrogate the hacker but to her surprised the number had disappeared along with all the messages sent between them. It was like the hacker had never existed in the first place. She didn't know if she should laugh or cry. The hacker had definitely smacked her across the face with a bitter taste of karma.

"How bad can this get, " she said grimly.

She never knew herself to be an unlucky person but now it seems God was messing with her on purpose. She was sure God was probably laughing at her saying to himself 'oh sweetie you haven't seen anything yet.'
