Gyll swung a long wooden stick at Kaber who also held a stick, however, Kaber didn't need to use it, he simply side-stepped and slash attempted by Gyll.
Kaber laughed, "Its that all, human?"
Gyll tightened his grip and lunged at Kaber who stepped forward and stuck out his leg to trip Gyll up.
Gyll sat up sighed, "I don't think this is working." Gyll said.
Kaber crossed his arms, "Usually I'd say you're just weak-willed, but you are just completely useless at close range weapon combat." Kaber replied.
The two sat on the grass thinking silently.
Kaber stood up and spoke, "Maybe you'll do better in hand to hand combat!".
"Like...punching?" Gyll asked.
"There's more to hand to hand fighting styles than just punching," Kaber replied.
"Alright, let's give it a shot!" Gyll cheered.
The two stood there silently for another while, "The problem is, I can't teach you, I'm not any good at hand to hand combat." Kaber said with a sigh.
A piece of paper fell from the tree above them, landing in Gyll's palm. It was a dirty, stained piece of paper with what seemed to be a map, with the tree made with a red "X" and a dotted line leading into a forest marked with an "O".
Kaber looked up only to find nobody was up there, he looked a Gyll, "No, human!" the lizardman spoke,
A grin crept its way onto Gyll's face.
"I'M DEFINITELY GOING!"
Gyll stood up and began walking towards the forest, but was stopped by Mi who grabbed his arm, "I wouldn't go into the forest at night." Mi replied.
Gyll sighed, "Yeah, guess you're right." Gyll walked back to the fireplace and laid down on the grass, dreaming of strength.
Mi sat on the tree's branch that night, swinging her feet back and forward.
"Why do you always have to get involved?" Mi asked the figure sitting next to her.
The figure grinned, "Hey, It's my job. He wanted it." the figure replied, before jumping away, into the woods.
