Kaber opened his eyes in his bed, he stood out of the bed and stumbled towards his kitchen.
"Man, I really shouldn't have kept drinking after that human left..." Kaber said through the pain of his hangover.
Kaber got himself dressed in his fur loincloth and leather armor, and armor looked out the window.
"I should go check on the human, he's probably dying right about now!" the large lizard man chuckled to himself.
He stepped outside his door and took a deep breath of air, before making his way to the man's house.
Kaber knocked on the door, "Human, are you alive?" asked Kaber, not getting a response he kicked down the door only to find the room empty.
"To think that I was worried about..." Kaber hissed under his breath before turning and running to inform the villagers.
While running he spotted Gyll, he stopped and called out to him.
"HUMAN! what the hell are- shouldn't you-" Kaber stumbled over his own words.
"Kaber, come over here!" Gyll waved Kaber over, as Kaber made his way swiftly to the Human he noticed the reason for him to be out this early,
"What are you doing, human?" asked Kaber, a little tired at this point.
"So, you know the way the paths here are slippy?" Asked Gyll.
Kaber nodded.
"So, I had this... epiphany, we could make a network of slightly elevated platforms between key points around the village to improve productivity!" Gyll said, He already made about ten or twelve meters of platform pathway.
Kaber was dumbfounded, the idea made sense, and there have already been accidents related to people falling on the muddy paths.
Kaber placed one mighty foot on the platform to try it out, "It seems stable, but you could use some rocks under the middle plank, so they don't break in the middle."
And so the two worked on the pathways for the whole day, at first they only linked the village centre to the chieftain's hut, impressed by the idea, the chieftain ordered two large lizard men to help Gyll and Kaber, Soon almost every shop and house was linked to the platform system.
