The man sat cross-legged on the wooden floor, sweat dripped down his face as he tried to focus on the crystal ball Mi placed in front of him.
"I know it doesn't seem like it but I do actually have things I want to do," Mi said, taunting Gyll.
"I'm doing my best here!" Gyll replied.
"I have an idea." Mi said as she handed Gyll the small crystal ball, "try it now" Mi added.
"Alright," Gyll said confused.
The crystal ball began to glow a dull, white light.
Mi picked up the ball and inspected it carefully.
"Well? can I shoot fire? ice? can I -" Gyll's questions were cut short by Mi when she told him, "Looks like you have no distinct magic affinity at all."
Gyll froze, the grin on his face turned to disappointment.
Gyll lit up and said, "So, that just means I have to keep training a-"
"Nope, you have zero ability to use magic," Mi said interrupting Gyll.
A few hours later...
Gyll is sitting laying on his bed in the fetal position, accepting that he has no potential to ever shoot fireballs, while Mi sat beside him, petting his back and telling him things like "There, there, flying isn't that fun anyway." and "You can always dream, it's just that your dreams can't come true. ever.".
A knock was heard on Gyll's door, "Hey, it's Kaber. The chieftain sent me to get you." Kaber said from behind the door.
