Kyrie's POV -
Meanwhile, after getting lost along the way and having to ask a senior for directions to the cafeteria. An embarrassing yet necessary action as no one wants to be running around campus on an empty stomach, it was finally time for Kyrie to fill his stomach before heading to class for introductions.
'Damn that was exhausting, luckily, we arrived just in time before classes started,' Kyrie thought excitedly as he stopped just outside the cafeteria and took a minute to marvel at the 4-story building made of glass and white marble.
That fitted perfectly with its surroundings as white fluffy clouds hung above it peacefully, complimenting the bluish-white building as students of different classes. Could be seen walking in and out as people inside ordered food or gossiped with friends about their break and other meaningless topics.
Yet, just as Kyrie was about to enter, his nose suddenly twitched twice as it caught onto a familiar scene causing him to stop momentarily. As he tried to pinpoint where the smell came from, however, his efforts were futile as he was just homesick.
"Sigh, and here I thought I might have run into an old friend," Kyrie muttered oblivious to the lady standing behind a tree nearby gazing at him curiously with shock and happiness.
'Even after so long you still remember me… Aww, just what must a gal do to be worthy of such love, even after a thousand years have passed, Honey?' Our mysterious stalker thought as she nearly squealed before proceeding to head into the cafeteria after Kyrie.
Who dismissed what it could have been that triggered such a reaction in him?
"Hmm… well this is interesting, so it seems someone's either tampered with my memories or is what people call old age. But then again… sigh, forget it let's just get something to eat and head to class as this is a problem for another time." Kyrie told himself as his stomach growled, 'Relax pal, I'll get you some food soon.'
He chuckled as he grabbed ahold of one of the metal handles of the building and walked in.
A few minutes later…
"Hmm… now, this is a problem, so just what exactly should I get as everything just looks and smells divine right now," Kyrie said as he glanced around the room and inspected the diverse cultures and cuisines Forbidden Blood offered students.
Whilst salivating like a dog who just smelled its favorite meal as he rubbed his hands together greedily like a beggar. That found a new target to rob as Kyrie's eyes flashed with a menacing and devious gleam.
Simultaneously, as Kyrie tried to make sense of what he would eat for breakfast, a group of sophomores sitting a few meters away from him began making jokes about the starving freshman.
"Hey, would you look at this, Alvin? If it is not another monkey who has never seen food before… Tsk, it seems another bottom feeder has arrived to rob us of our goodies, boys." Malik uttered with contempt as he glanced at Kyrie from the corner of his eye causing a flood of laughter to ring from the table.
"Dude chill, there's no need to be burning the poor kid like that, Haha." Someone at the table stated as they snorted like a pig on crack.
"Ahh, good one, Malik! But man, have you seen the ass on Bianca? Who would have thought a year could transform a flat jack to a shorty with a wagon thicker than a bowl of oatmeal?" Someone else commented as they switched the conversation to something more interesting.
"Dude... you didn't say anything but a word; give me like three days' and I bet she will be mine."
"Jeremy, just stop it you aren't that guy, pal. Plus, can you even manage something of such magnitude with your skinny ass?" Mike said as he side-eyed Jeremy and chuckled at the delusions of his friend.
"Oh, if it isn't the guy who got rejected twice by both Felicia and Ava, back-to-back," Jeremy said highlighting the greatest fumbles in Mike's life.
"Tsk..." Mike could say as he shut up and finished his food.
"Hmm, and here I thought someone was speaking," Jeremy muttered loud enough for Mike to hear him as he smiled with a smirk.
"You, Malik, what's up with you? Is everything okay?" Alvin asked with a hint of worry as Malik usually does not act like this, so why out of all days, would he be showing out like this?
Especially toward a first-year student who has done nothing to him or at least to my knowledge has, considering from the looks of it, he was just a hungry weird bloke. If truth be told that just stood there in a daze as he glanced at the holographic screen before him.
"Nothing man... I am just free is all. So, what is up with you as I have never seen you get so tight about a harmless joke?" Malik asked curiously as he turned the question back to Alvin.
"Sigh... nothing, but did something happen between you and Victoria?" Alvin asked as that is the only logical assumption, he could think of that made sense as to why Malik was acting the way he was.
"Naw... man it isn't nothing like that, I'm just free is all," Malik replied slowly with a hint of concealed sadness as he tried not to allow his emotions to get the best of him.
"Sigh, if you so then Malik, but seriously if something did happen. It's okay to tell us, as we're still your friends at the end of the day remember."
"Thanks, Alvin but I'm good seriously," stated Malik with a hint of regret as he reflected on how he acted earlier, before getting up and leaving the cafeteria, "Um, I see y'all later… I just remembered I got to see Ms. Brown before heading off to Advanced Magical Theory."
"Okay... well, then good luck and remember to arrive on time for class as you know how Ms. Olivia gets about interruptions and tardiness," Alvin said just as Malik got up and quickly left.

"Damn! Just why are there so many options to choose from? With each looking more scrumptious and exotic than the next one," Kyrie complained as still could not decide on something to eat as his eyes scrutinized the menu for today from top to bottom.
Inspecting a multitude of different countries and their specialties, along with their local dishes and their prices. But considering it was only the first day of school, the principal announced that everything was free for the first month for everyone.
"Is this your first time here handsome?" A brown skin shorty with curly hair and hazel eyes asked as she glanced at Kyrie flirtatiously with a smile.
"Yeah, why? Do you have any recommendations by the way? As a brother is struggling here," Kyrie asked genuinely as he turned around.
"Well, it all depends on what you can manage... but if I had to pick, I'd say go for either American or Caribbean food." She replied after thinking about it for a minute as those were usually the best.
