The Shroud-Wights stood in front of Sev. Newly born into the world, undeath taking them. Faced with their own existence, they howled in pain, ear-piercing screeches fell silent on the walls of the dark and dingy room.
"For once, I actually succeeded in creating Shroud-Wights!!!" the sheer excitement taking him in full swathes, his excited yelling matching the screeches.
Only for the Shroud-Wights to realize Sev's presence. Immediately rationalizing, their forceful existence being tied to the man in a black robe. Their hostile flame-like eyes latched onto Sev. Unnaturally, the Shroud-Wights lowered themselves closer to the floor, their perfectly smooth yet beyond unnatural. Mimicking arachnids, the Shroud-Wights inched their way forward in complete silence. Their hunting instincts kicking in, they began to increase their speed as they approached Sev.
Unworried, Sev simply marvelled at the outright ungodly movements. The many books he had read on Shroud-Wights hadn't disappointed him. The many months which he had taken to collect and brew the several potions fully paying off.
The two Shroud-Wights began to encircle Sev, keeping a small distance between them and him. Continuously attempting to enter Sev's blind spot or spot a weakness, they menacingly circled.
Only for a single word to bring them in check,
"Kneel."
Unable to refuse, the two Shroud-Wights forcefully kneeled. Tied through their names, Sev's words serving as absolute commands. A loud thud sounding as both of the Shroud-Wights hit the floor, at the same time.
"Karthus, Malphus, from this day on, you shall never hurt or injure me or my inheritor Nora. You shall serve as our hands, as our flesh, as our bones. "
"Protect her,
as she is precious to me..."

Having been walking alongside the road for quite some time, Great Mage Mirlie began to feel the strain of continuously stepping on the rough gravel road.
During the last few hours of her journey, several carriages had passed by but none were willing to offer aid or assistance to Great Mage Mirlie. The black robe she dawned scarring them away before she could even ask.
'This is so unfair! Why don't they stop! If only I had my staff... I could make them see things my way!"
The stigma against black mages having grown so vast over the years that even many of the aristocrats and nobles within the Allosian Empire beginning to believe the falsehoods perpetrated by the Lightcrow Family.
'Why don't they even give me a chance! This damn robe!!!'
Great Mage Mirlie only failing to see her own hypocrisy against black mages. Why would they treat her any better, if she woudn't treat the average black mage any better.

Sitting in a lotus position on her bed, immersed in cultivation. Nora had finally gotten used to her two current cultivation methods and began to circulate them at the same time. Significantly fast-tracking her progress.
She'd lost herself in her cultivation, failing to realize that the circulation of dragons, had already become instinctual. No longer having to fully-concentrate on carefully guiding the dragons, she could continously increase the speed of their circulation. Subconciously, Nora began to push her limits. At first, only slightly, but before she knew it, she'd started to approach the next stage of, 'Dragon Kings Incarnation'. The nine purple cores within her, smoothing out the process of entering the next stage. Then, in a single go, she continued to increase the circulation once again, approaching the next stage. Before once again sailing into the next stage, then again, and again.
Only stopping at the noise of Sev knocking on her door
*Knock* *knock*
Forcing herself out of cultivation, she began to viciously pant, the effects of rising in stages finally hitting her body. Struggling to calm herself after such a startling increase in cultivation, she found that the two puppies which had lied down around her immediately attempted to comfort her.
With the aid of the puppies, she brought herself back into composure and approached the door. Luckily Sev helped her break free from her cultivating trance. Otherwise she may have entered the Foundation Establishing Realm without the proper preparations. She had almost accidentally quadrupled her future troubles in cultivation.
Quite content with her luck and Sev's presence, she opened the door. There stood Sev, on either side of him two large menacing creatures...
'What the fuck...'
