Looking at the blank pages, Lily was deep in thoughts. She didn't understand what could have happened. Just earlier it was filled with uncomprehensible characters and now it seemed brand new.
Still shocked, Lily passed her hand slowly on the first page. Could the ink have been erased by the shock yesterday? But as soon as her fingers touched it, some pictures flood in her mind. It was positions she needed to recreate with her body. Lily was compelled into trying them. So she started copying what was coming through her mind. To describe it, it was somewhat a mix of yoga and tai chi? As she was struggling to hold the first pose, a voice could be heard through her mind as well.
"Relax your shoulders, tuck your tail bone, lift your leg higher..."
Instructions? Despite her injuries, Lily couldn't resist, so she practiced the positions of the book for a long time before the voice let her rest. Clearly she was hurting but she also felt quite refreshed after. Now that her whole body was hurting, the pain in her back seemed trivial.
She had only touched the first page and was stuck in a how many hours long session of training. Lily was now scared to touch the other pages.
When Yang found her again, she was spent and her muscles were hurting all over. Even though she was fit, she never exercised to that extent.
A smile on his lips, Yang only commented : "I see that Young Mistress finally found the key to the booklet."
"We need to continue the treatment Young Mistress. This time, it may hurts a bit."
As he was speaking, Yang slowly sat Lily on the bed. Covering her back with his 2 hands this time, Lily could feel a wave energy going through her. However instead of gentle feeling it was as if fire was being poured directly into her body. Hurt a bit? That was clearly an euphemism. It was hell. Lily could not remember the last time she felt like this. As if a whole truck was crushing her body or millions of ants were eating her insides. Still Lily could not move. This Ran girl had a very strong will, even under this amount of pain, she could still endure, thus Lily stayed still.
"Young Mistress, we are almost done, please endure!"
Sweat beads had started to form on the face of both youth and were slowly sliding down. By the time the treatment was done, both of them were soaked.
"I'll come back". Weakly whispered, Yang vanished again. It seemed it was not an easy task for Yang.
Without his support, Lily just fell straight on her back, unable to move. Lily was paralyzed and could only wait to recuperate before moving again. In this state, Lily's mind was febrile. Though tired, she could not rest thus she could only try to recall all that happened to her since she woke up from her coma.
"A fiance, 2 familiar faces at the bal that nobody knows, being kidnapped and almost killed, Yang, and now forced to relive a memory in a strange valley. What is the common link between all of this?"
Lily felt everything was suspicious.
First, the fiance. Lily was absolutely certain her name was Lily. Thus why had that man recognizes her as Ran. Was this body Ran's body? Then what was she? A spirit? A split personnality? A soul? Or was it a conspiracy against Lily? None of Ran's backstory made sense to her or rang a bell. The few fragments of her memory were filled with feelings of fear and despairs, pictures of a room where she was held captive and voices of people that wanted her dead. Strange, be Ran or her, Lily, both of them were wanted for dead.
"At least, that's a common point I have with Ran..."
Then the 2 familiar faces at the bal, a young handsome man and a beautiful girl cames to her mind. Lily was sure she was acquainted with them. Who were they? Even though, she spent a lot of efforts on trying to find their names, they weren't on the guests' list but still managed to stand on the stage. She had scurred the guest list of the debutante's and found pictures of all the guests. Last minute guests? Unplanned stars appearances? Maybe employees? Lily had not checked the list of employees. After all, they looked like distinguished people. This world was not familiar to her at all. Once she would return, she would continue to look for a clue.
Rehashing all that happened to her, Lily still couldn't make head from tails. All she could do is going forward and see how everything would unfold. For now it seems she was safe and this memory was necessary for her. Lily couldn't understand why, but she knew she would eventually get answers.
