LingLing couldn't contain his excitement as the bal night was drawing close, he was anticipating the event more than Lily. For a second, you could believe he was the sole reason why Lily was going to the bal. It was the first big official event where he could accompany his big brother. Furthermore, he was already at the age where one would be curious about girls and love affairs and he heard there would be countless beauties present.
He couldn't wait to show off in his new suit, going out of that brand new vehicle, with his very handsome brother next to him. He figured out they would look very suave and cool. It was too bad the ugly duckling would have to be with them.
Speaking of the devil, there she was in the courtyard, reading a book without any worries in the world. Did she even realized the bal was tomorrow and she still hadn't learn the proper etiquette for the bal???
"Shouldn't you be reviewing the rules and etiquette for the bal instead of wasting your time being lazy here?" LingLing's tone was agressive.
"Your big brother have it all planned. He told me not to worry about anything..." Lily smiled mockingly to LingLing. She couldn't understand why the teen was acting so bratty around her. After all, it's not like she had chosen to be in that kind of situation.
"What about you? Shouldn't you be reviewing your homework? Did you get permission from your school teacher to skip your evening lessons?" Lily pursued sarcastically. She knew very well he was a college student and that he could manage his schedule without anyone's permission.
Lightning flashed in LingLing's eyes, she was clearly looking down on him.
"You ugly duck, you think my brother cares about you? You are a nobody, just a dead weight! He found you on the street from God knows where... What fiancée!?! You are not worthy of him! Can't wait to see you embarrassed the night of the bal!" LingLing angrily turned back and walked quickly to the house.
Since the disturbance was gone, Lily could go back to making plans for the night of the bal. She was just pretending to take it easy, in reality, she was replaying all different kinds of scenarios in her head in order to prepare herself. She had already learned by heart the faces and the names of her friends and close acquaintances, she also had gotten familiarized with the floor plans of the venue. She knew her background story better than ABC. All that was left was for her to imagine as much as possible what could go wrong on that night and how "Ran Sheng" would react in the same circumstances.
