She's not a human. How could he not recognize it. How could he allow an immortal to stay close to him. She doesn't emit such kind of scent. He could recognize an immortal from miles apart. How could this woman be this close without leaving a trace or a scent.The women lying unconscious in his bed ,her creamy skin blushing from their workout.She is wonderful and he wants her more,even after knowing that she could be a threat to his life.She is covered in human scent.But when she lost her conscious at the end,her power engulfed him.He sucked her energy,which was entirely different from the usual energy humans emit during the love making.Her energy was a thousand times stronger than a normal human.
The morning sunshine pierced through the glass windows ,lighting the whole room with a musky scent.Eve didn't want to open her eyes ,as always it took little time for her to adjust her vision the morning light.When she tried to lie on her side,she felt like her bones were crushing from pain.She shouted as the pain got to increase when she tried to move again.It was like she was being smashed between two metal bars.
The door banged open by Edward,who was still bare in his upper body.Why does he have to roam around with this wonderful body.Broad shoulders descending to a narrow waist with few packs highlighting it.Looking at him triggered her memory of yesterday night.Her hands went to her neck ,to feel the scars from his bite.Making it evident that last night was not a dream.She belong to him now.She doesn't want to think about forever,but now she want him.Still naked under the sheets covering her barely from neck to knees,her insides are reacting just from looking at him.Within an instant she remembered the question he asked last night ,before she lost consciousness.
"What happened",he was standing at the door not trying to move,clearly trying to maintain distance.
"What did you ask me yesterday",she could see the blurry image of Edward moving away from her,for the first time she felt his uneasy.
"Why were you shouting",he didn't make any effort to move still clutching the door handle as though if he let go of it, he would do something he would regret later.
She tried to move ,so that she would reach for him only to feel the bone crushing pain throughout her body.The very next second ,Ed was beside her holding her in his arms,eyes full of concern.She was happy that he couldn't hold back his concern for too long.
"Wait,are you in pain,''one arm holding her and the other on her flat belly.only the bedsheet separating them.He was aware of it and didn't make any move to feel her.
"Yes,'' she whispered on his shoulders trying to gather her wits ,not to imagine anything from the past night.
"Where",the concern disappearing from his face with every word.
"Whole body,its like my bones are crushing",she took her hands to his chin and touched him.He grabbed her hand and withdraw it to place it on the bedsheet.No more touching.fine.She moved away from him,in spite of her pain.The pain was so small when compared to the pain of being away from him.Though he's so close to her,she could feel the wall he's building to isolate him from her.
He moved to the closet and rummaged through the clothes to find a silver bottle which was in the egg size.She fell back on the bed,clutching the bedsheet to her chest, when her legs gave up within a few seconds of her standing.He placed the bottle on the bedside table near the water mug.
"Mix three drops in water and drink it",he started moving to the door,not looking at her.
"Wait",she's not going to leave him turn his back on her,she wants to know the reason for his cold attitude.he stood on his tracks without turning to see her.
"What"
"What was that question from yesterday night,'' his odd reaction yesterday,She couldn't digest his question.
"Have rest",he was ready to leave anytime soon.
"You know I won't give up until I get an answer,''she took the medicine and started spilling three drops in a glass of water.Her hands were shivering but she's not going to show her weak side anymore to him.
"Yes and",he moved closer no her, near the foot of the bed, clearly not making any effort to cover his frame. His jeans clung to his lower hip, much lower from her view.
"Shoot out everything",her voice was calm and serene hiding her desperation and impatience.
"From yesterday's night I came to know that you were ",he stopped in the middle of the sentence which annoyed her more.
"Were",her mind was chanting not to lose her control.
"That you were not a human",he went to the closet to get a black shirt.He started wearing it facing the closet.
"Then ",she's not really getting into this topic. Is at all a human, then what was she. She never had the superpower of healing within an instant,especially when she was in an accident at four, it took six months to get her hands back to normal.
"You are an immortal",he didn't turn back only replying not ready to show his face to her.
"Like you people",she gulped down a glass of water, which was devoid of taste.
