Chapter 16 - Chapter 14 - Impressive

They reach the palace, Fujimura Miyu reached there before Nakada Ryota. She walked right up to the entrance but Ryota stopped her with a hand on her shoulder.

"Don't go there all determined. Graceful, be graceful."

Miyu nods back, not saying a word. She stops then ascends the steps to the entrance gracefully, acting like a true lady. The guards next to the doors stop her from going in but when they see Ryota right behind her they bow and step aside from the door. Ryota walks in front of her to open the door and let her in. She bows her head to Ryota in thanks and enters. The inside was even grander than the outside, all the doors were lined in gold and little jewels sparkled on all the doorknobs. The curtains were silky and covered windows that showed a great view of the empire. The ceilings were tall and the hallways we're spacious. Miyu didn't know what to feel when she entered except awe. She's never seen anything like it.

Ryota guides her down the hallway with a hand on her lower back. They arrive to two large doors of the color mauve and Ryota stops me. He nears her ear and says, "Prepare yourself, my father isn't the greatest of people."

Miyu nods again, not wanting to speak much in the palace if someone recognizes her voice. Ryota breaths in to prepare himself as well and then opens the door. The throne room was like the rest of the hallways, with pale yellow walls and extravagant curtains and gold and jewels. There's a large table in the center of the room in the shape of a U with a large throne at the bottom of the letter. The throne was tall and skinny, barely fitting the person sitting in it. It was made of cold metal, rumored to be made by the first emperor with his own powerful gift. The man who sits in it is large, not fat large but muscles large. He has a hard, stone cold glare on his face and a light grey beard. His hair is a dark brown with grey ends and icey blue eyes circled in rich brown. His skin is pale, nearly translucent, and his face is chiseled like a statue.

Miyu walks into the U then up to the throne, bowing. Ryota walks with her and bows as well. The room is empty except for them, the emperor, and a frail attendent that looked like you can snap him like a twig.

"So, you are the woman who'll marry my son?" booms the emperor. His voice was crystal clear and held a lot of authority.

Miyu bows again, "Yes, my emperor."

The emperor nods before signaling the attendant to bring a crystal ball on a small pedestal to hold it in place. The ball was laid in front of the emperor on the table.

"Come, put your hand on the ball."

Miyu nods and walks to the ball. She takes a breath in to calm herself, she's never don't this before. She always wanted to hide her powers and she doesn't feel like revealing it now, but if she doesn't she'd probably be killed in a few seconds by the emperor himself.

She lays her hand the ball and a circle of colors appear inside. Tons and tons of colors spread out from her hand and into the ball. There's so much color that you can't even depict one single. The emperor's eyes widen and he leans into his chair. She lifts her hand from the ball and walks a few steps back before looking into the emperor's eyes.

He nods his head, "Impressive."

He signals the attendant to come again to pick the ball and leave before saying, "Have a duel with my son, Hood."
