Chapter 39 - Outside of the forest?!

Then everything went black.

"H...k...p....se..." I heard a voice say in the distance. Its not... Hikari's voice but I focused on it anyway. "HAILEY! ... p..." I heared it again. "Hailey...P...se...ke....up..." I tgen was able to recognise that it was Max's voice. It sounded like he was desperate so I focused more on his voice over the other ones I could hear. "Hailey...Please! WAKE UP!" I hearex Max yell out. "Mmmm?!" I said in surprise as I sat up and opened my eyes in a panic. I then used my physic barrier to form an egg like shape around with Max and I being inside it. I then teleported in front of him and used my body as a shield. "Stay back!" I said with my eyes closed bracing for damage. "Hailey! Calm down I'm not hurt!" Max said. "You're not in danger?" I said to him through telepathy as I turned around. "C-Can you please put me down though?" Max asked me nervously. "Oh! Sure! Here you go!" I said as I made the barrier vanish and caught Max in my arms. "Thanks Hailey!" Max said cheerfully as I gently steadied him into a standing position. "Where did you learn to do that?" Max asked me. "My friend Kurai yoru taught me." I explained to Max. "Isn't that Dark night in Japanese?" Brooke asked me. "Yeah it is, apparently it's an ancient language that both Humans and Pokémon used to speak but only a small amount of Pokémon know how to say a few words in this 'ancient language'" I explained to them using telepathy. "That's what my friend Hikari forest said. He is meant to be the 'Shefu' meaning chief in Japanese of our tribe." I explained to them. "Wait! There's a whole tribe of Pokémon in the forest?!" Ash asked excitedly. "Yeah but I don't know all their rules yet so I don't know if humans are welcomed." I explained to them. "Kurai, my friend is the first other type of Pokémon in our tribe other then the Treeko evolution for a very long time." I continued. "So I would have to ask Hikari if you could come." I concluded. "I hope we can!" Max said happily. "How long have I been...?" I ask. "For almost a week." Brooke said. "I- WHAT?! OH GOSH! W-what if..." I began to panic. "Hey! Calm down!" Brooke said. "HOW CAN I?! Last time this happened.... H...Hikari... Nearly found Ash, Pikachu and I hurt!" I said with fear in my voice. "If... If... He misunderstood the situation... Both Ash and Pikachu would've been dead..." I said with a grimaced expression on my face. "His level is beyond any normal standard... The highest level I've ever seen is 101 but Hikari's... It's in the millions..." I said with a dread filled expression. "What?! B-but that's... It's not possible!" Brooke said with surprise. "I didn't think so either until I saw it myself..." I said. "This is why you used the last of your strength to teleport me, Pikachu and Meowth away?" Ash asked me. "I care for Hikari and he's a good Pokémon, don't get me wrong, he's not nasty nor cruel. He's just protective and doesn't stop to ask questions or find out what's happening first... If he sees me injured and other people and or Pokémon around me... What is his first thought going to be?" I asked them. "He's gonna attack the other people or Pokémon while protecting me." I said. "Even if it were to kill you he would do this..." I explained to them. "So when I say run I mean bolt like your life depends on it." I said to them. "Even at a distance he can sense who is near me, how many are near me and if they are Pokémon or humans." I explained to them. "Both me and Pikachu can do this, any Pokémon can... It just takes time and practice." I continued. "That's why Pikachu found me easily and why I was able to know that Hikari was coming." I concluded.
