"Then let's go!" Ash said enthusiastically. Ash then proceeded to drag me by the leaf on my head. He didn't mean any harm by this but it was really painful. "Ash! Let go of Hailey now!" Brooke shouted at Ash as he pulled him by his collar and ripped his hand from my leaf. "T-thanks..." I said as I fell over. "No problem." Brooke said as he let go of Ash to then catch me and steady me into a standing position. "You... Didn't have to do that..." I said to Brooke. "That could have ended very badly. If you weren't so tolerant both you and Ash would've been hurt." Brooke said. "How so?" I asked with confusion. "Most Grovyle don't have a high pain threshold when it comes to their leaf. Most would not even think and just attack to break free from the person who is touching their leaf." Brooke explained. "I never knew this..." I said to Brooke. "That's why you need to be careful!" Brooke lectured me. "Heh! Are you my parent now?" I teased Brooke. "Wha?! N-no..." Brooke said bashfully. "Awww is Mr Brooke embawwesed?" I teased Brooke more. "L-let's j-just go!" He quickly said as he dragged me by the arm.
After a few hours of chatting and walking we reached the edge of the forest. "I can take care of myself from here. Thank you guys so much!" I said gratefully. I then looked up at the sky and saw that it was becoming late. "Oh! look at the time! Why don't we find a cave? I believe there should be one near by. I'll go up ahead and scout out the area. Be back in a few minutes." I said to them as I ran through the trees. I then found a cave about five minutes away. If I teleported back and headed over there with the group then we would have more time to set up for camp.
I then teleported to the group and lead them to the cave. We spent the night there before parting ways. They wanted to visit my village and needed a few natural resources anyways so they stayed in the cave as I left for the village. "I will be back by hopefully in a few hours." I said to them. "Thank you for your generosity." I thanked them as I left for the village. Since I teleported and ran through the trees it only took me half an hour to trek back to the village. "Hailey! There you are!" Hikari called out to me as he hugged me tightly. "I thought you were hurt!" Hikari said as he checked me over. "Why are there burn marks all over you?!" Hikari asked worriedly as he began to use synthesis. "I'm fine! Really Hikari!" I said to him.
I then explained to him everything that happened and the request of the humans. "They are safe?" Hikari asked me. "Yes and I can teleport them here from their camp so they won't know the way here if you wish." I said to Hikari. "In that case yes but if they cause any damage or harm then I will act accordingly. Even if it means they will leave here with one less limb." Hikari warned me. "I'm sure they won't do anything bad, I'll keep a close eye on them. When should I bring them?" I asked Hikari. "You can bring them now if you want. Make sure they don't leave your side and you can see every single one of them the entire time they are here." Hikari ordered me. "Yes 'Shefu' " I said as I giggled. After that I teleported back to the group.
"I'm back everyone!"
