"Why do you want to poison me? Do you badly want me to die?" Long Cheng asked while unable to mask the hurt laced on his voice. He then cleared his throat as he felt like losing his breath. He can also feel his beast despair for their mate, wanting them to die.
He then added softly, "Do you know what I am to you? Probably you do not know. If something happened to me, you also would feel pain. Meili do I-" Whatever he wanted to say halted when Lu Meili covered his mouth.
"Shut up." She spoke dangerously; her face was so close that Long Cheng could see how her black eyes bleed green to surround each pupil. "Do you want to know how I was able to bring you here? Nod if you want to know."
Long Cheng then nodded dazedly as he found himself fascinated with her eyes that looked like those of a panther as they glared at him while they glowed slightly.
