We went inside the tower to see the process. Inside is still the gray flame, inside there are some slight brown flashes, the bears soul.
Once inside I give the command to split the soul into 1 rank 3 and 2 rank 2. I don't want to split even further as the most interesting creature I saw in rank 1 were mosquitos, and I doubt there could be a strong mosquito.
High in the Tower I see the 1 star split in two, and then in 3. That was rather anticlimactic.
The next command gave rise to something more impressive, and rather grotesque. Out of the alter came a liquid stream of was seemed like mashed flesh and bones. This stream floated in the air forming a circle. Then it fell down to the step right in front of the altar! A small, dirt green colored body. A baby goblin, and it is a girl! I expected a boy because it was Goba's wish for being saved, but apparently the wishes don't make exact copies of the original.
I walk close before gently picking her up. I look into her dark green eyes and her gentle expression, she really doesn't look like Goba at all. This little girl is even pretty for human standards!
"Little girl, as you are the first who I created, and as you are the beginning of bringing life to this world I'll call you Fi. For you are the first and as pretty as a fairy." Fi smiles at me, and behind me I hear loud sobs. As I turn around I see Goba falling to his knees with his arms raised to me.
"Oh Gosamu, Celestial Creator, Bringer of Life! You've brought to us such a beautiful being! And Fi! Such a beautiful name!..."
Goba continues preaching, and what surprises me is that he has Fi's complete attention, although she does look up to me at times with wonder in her eyes. Goba's preaching definitely has an effect on her, even though she was just 'born'. I let Goba continue while I hold Fi. Holding her feels nice, I can't remember anyone holding me like this.
After what did feel quite long after all, Goba is finally done. By this time Fi looks at me with wonder and admiration, which is very special for something born just minutes ago.
"Thanks Goba, for those... beautiful words." I need to make him feel appreciated for his efforts, although he could be a little less if you'd ask me, but he's always been very passionate. "I'll create the other two, then you can give them names and preach to them. I'll be outside with Fi while you do."
"Thanks Gosamu! For your praise and trust! I'll let the two other children know about you, and make them see you what you really are!" He's so happy, so excited. I am too, I just don't feel the need to show it as much.
But back to business! I have to pick 2 creatures out of the 7 designs. I am sure about 1 already, it's a dragonfly, I've seen them close to the river, and they're awesome. Bright colors, very fast, always hunting, and sometimes I see 2 together. Which is good for the reproduction.
The other 6 are two squirrels, a fox, a toad, a dodo, and a gecko. I'm not too sure where to go, the squirrels wouldn't be my pick, and probably the gecko and dodo not either. The gecko is nice but it's not wat I'm looking for now, and the dodo is a chubby flightless bird, they are rare because they're easily killed. If I can have another dodo I'll keep them inside my world, providing eggs for the others.
Then there was the fox and the toad. The fox is a fast and stealthy hunter, and the toad is a slow, camouflaged ambush hunter. They're the opposites! But as I am working with earth elemental flesh, I think it's better to go for the toad, it can help him in defence and camouflage, not really what the fox needs.
So that's decided! And just like that I start walking outside as the bloody circles form in the air above the altar. The voice of Goba starts echoing through the Tower as I close the doors behind me.
"So little Fi, we escaped outside!" I talk happily to Fi, she looks around in wonder, everything is new to her. "But I didn't think this trough, I don't know what I can do with you." She looks at me and start struggling, I put her on the ground. Right away she tries standing up! Right, she's a baby goblin, not a baby human, her proportions of arms, legs and body are better then a human babies. After a few minutes of struggle and a bit of holding my hand she gets the hang of it! She's a genius if you'd ask me.
After that she holds my hand and smiles at me, she's really cute. After walking around a bit she seems tired and sits down on her butt, I sit next to her. She has no interest in me however, she states intensely at the ground as her little fingers softly brush through the grass. "What are you doing little Fi?" I ask her with a smile on my face, not really expecting a reply.
But she lifts her head, and looks at me, then back to the ground. She points at grass she isn't touching, while she moves her other hand through the grass again. I first didn't know what there was to see, but then I noticed the grass she pointed to move! She really is a genius!
I lift her up and throw her into the air, this earns me a delighted little yelp, "You're amazing little Fi!" Just then Goba comes outside which is a funny sight as there's a rust brown dragonfly on his head and a dirtbrown toad in his hands, it's long toadlegs bungling underneath his arms.
The dragonfly flies towards me right away, it's a really beautiful color, combined with it flying back and forth, left and right, and up and down it makes a mesmerising image.
"An, calm down, I know it's exciting to meet Gosamu, but he will tell you about what you're going to do soon." Then Goba turns to me and bows. "Hello master, I named the dragonfly An, she's a female. The toad here is Bo, he's a male. They're both ready for any mission you'll give them." I love their enthusiasm.
"Okay, if you're ready then I won't hold up. Your mission will be to go out in the wild after I summon you and do 3 things. Your first priority will always be to survive, once you lose your life you can't do anything else for our family. Your second goal is to hunt and eat, whenever you have something to spare, send it to the Tower, I think Goba can help you with that." I look at him and he nods at me. "Okay, the next most important thing is to reproduce, your children will in turn help us, and so will their children. Do make sure that when your children are born you send them here, Goba will make sure they'll help us." Goba nods again, even more excitement in his eyes, preaching and converting is what he wants to do the most after all.
"For now try to get some more practice together, maybe An could try avoiding Bo's strikes? But you must figure that out yourself. I will probably summon you into the world in a few hours, so I'll see you guys then!" I give them a warm smile and Goba, An and Bo bow. Then I feel a little tug at my pants, I look doen and I see Fi. "Fi?" She spoke! So cute!
I pick her up so she sits on my arm. "You, little Fi, have to grow strong. Maybe you should try and train in here for a bit, and when you're stronger so nobody will bully you I'll summon you too okay?" She nods with determination in her eyes, I put her back down and she starts playing with the grass again. So determined, so cute.
"Goba, I'll be going again. Please help those three for now, they're going to be the foundation on which we will build this world. Also, don't you think they're remarkably smart after just being born?" Goba's eyes turn full of admiration again. "Yes! Yes they are! The Altar gives the same blessing as the Great Creator gave to all the monsters in the beginning, the blessing of language and sentience! And even a blessing of devotion, making them eternally loyal to you!" He looks like he's going to start preaching again, but I'm glad he doesn't. I'm happy about the blessings they get though, it really helps a lot!
"Well, I'll be going again, I'll see all of you later!" I can't help but touch Fi's little nose before I disappear.
