he loud roar of the boss in the Rosha Cemetery is already too loud, accompanied by tremors, it made the players shiver.
"Crap, looks like the boss in that cemetery is going to berserk," a cleric shivered.
"Yeah, the monsters nearby the town are all ferocious, what about the boss? I bet we will get killed in a few hits or just a single hit..." a Warrior said before he fell face first into the ground when a strong tremor occurred.
...
If I can hear their conversation, I can say that they have no chance on landing a single hit against this colossal guy. Even I who is already a level 52 Versatile, expert on its movements for 25 years had no idea on how to penetrate its thick defense. Even Leona is having a hard time dealing those lesser ghouls and undead who are crudely attacking her despite not reaching the attacks.
I made a few tactics on dealing its massive but slow attacks. It might be really slow but it was quite destructive. Even me who is shrouded with the aura of Absolute Defense is having a hard time keeping my HP full. Its former weakness which should be its chest is no longer vulnerable. Instead, it was covered by metal alloy armor that should be not on the boss that the lesser purgatory usually have.
With no plan to directly finish the battle, I made a plan that can keep it from losing HP slowly. This boss do not have the capabilities of self heal and regenerative powers except for the revival thing. I quickly cast up Shadow Clone ad once again, my clones appeared and attacked the Boss simultaneously while I begin attack also.
"Freezing Prison!"
" Thy power of the placid waters, heed my call thy which slice thy enemies to pieces, Water Blade!"
"Thunderbolt!"
"Flames that once burned the ground, give me the power to overpower and vanquish my foes using the fiery weapon that nature have! Fireball!"
I cast different skills. Quite tiresome and since it has the Reality System, casting different skills in a single time causes a sharp pain in my head, but that is only for a moment and it returned back to normal.
The skills manages to create damage on him downing his HP to 95%. But still, this is quite hard.
Once again, I did another go on Bows and charged up the arrow on its bowstring before letting go. The arrows that shot through the boss are so fast that it whistles as it strikes to the body of the boss. Despite that, it didn't make any significant damage.
There are some weapons that are beneficial and can cause big damages against the boss but I will be risking on letting myself strucked down. Some of my skills also rely on close combat. The cooldown of the spells are quite short but in this crucial time, having a short cooldown skill can save me the process of dying early. Since this guy is a giant, why not try tripping it then?
"Earth Fissure!"
Cracks beneath his feet appeared and it shook the ground, causing him to stumble but not fully trip him off. But that is enough for me. I used the hook to close the gap and changed my weapon and used the Spear.
"Ha!"
Striking in a fast flurry of stabs, it caused a few damages and to finish the combo, I quickly changed my weapon into a dagger and used an Assassin skill.
"Heart Stab!"
Peng!
-2,000 Critical!
-inflicted Bleeding(Small)
Tch, I won't let it recover. Seeing my spells are all recovered from the cooldown, I hit and do the kill Once again!
"Freezing Prison!"
This time, the freezing prison caused the boss to stop from its movement and I can see on the log the effects of the Freezing Prison.
-Inflicted Freeze!
Freeze can cause stun movement and can slow its movement for moment. Its just a few seconds of delay but it is enough for me to inflict a few more damage.
"Graaaaaaahhhhh!"
Without a terrible shout I made, I have to unleash everything I have. I kept my weapon into a dagger and made a series of swipes and strikes against the boss. Several numbers appeared and even though it was all small amount, in just a few seconds of delay, I managed to reduce its HP to 89%. I continue attacking and did another skill which is finished loading. With a nimble maneuver of footwork, I made it through the chest of the boss.
"Heart Stab!"
Kill!
-2,000 Critical!
-Inflicted with Bleed(Severe)!
"Rooooooaaaaaaarrrr!"
A terrifying and earth-rumbling roar occurred as it pounds its sword madly on its shield. This is an AOE skill of the Undying Purgatory Giant, Wrath of the Armored Giant!
"F*ck! Absolute Defense!"
I changed my weapon into a hook and shoot my weapon to the nearby pillar and retracted it to pull me away from the rampaging boss. However, before I could do so, the Wrath of the Armored Giant begins and I was caught along with it. Luckily, it is not the sword that strucked me but the shield instead. But crap, it hurts like hell!
BANG!BANG!BANG!
I flew like a bullet through the ground and along with my fall is the rapid descent that caused on the destruction of the pillars. While I was falling, I already changed my weapon into a spear and in a split second, I throw the spear hard into the boss's eye. As fast as my fall, my HP fell from the maximum to almost the minimum.
Even with the pain, I didn't falter and made an instant decision.
"Sanctuary of the Sick!"
As when I fell to the ground, my HP is reduced to one but thanks to the skill, I was able to live with 1 HP.
"Sanctuary of the Sick"
Holy Knight Specific Skill
MP: 200
Description: Allows the caster and the surrounding players to heal a specific amount of HP for 30 seconds. Allows invulnerability against Special Debuffs as long as the caster or the surrounding players are on the area. Can survive a severe attack with 1 HP left.
Its a life saving skill. Though its not a skill that is really convenient, I was already happy that I made it alive. With that, after my bad landing, I cast Healing Heart and Divine Healing. In a blink of an eye, my HP returned to full bar. I raised my hand and my weapon returned to me. Of course, it is the ability of a spear. When Spears are thrown, it can still be retrieved by raising your hand. Spears are really awesome in the feel especially when retrieving the weapon.
What made me happy more is the amount of damage I made as I look back into the log.
-10,000 Critical!
-Inflicted bleeding(Severe)(Permanent)
Debuffs with a Permanent is a very dangerous way. Though it is not inflictable against players, it can be inflicted on monsters, overturning the tide. And with the Bleeding debuff, even if the battle will last for a few weeks, I will be able to kill him without doing anything. Permanent debuffs are not curable and since it is going to last as long as the enemy inflicted with it will not yet die.
Bleed will inflict 10 damage if it is only Small, 50 damage if it is Deep and 100 damage if it is in Severe which is going to inflict every second. Also, this battle will not last long. I found now its weakness. Killing it will be a matter of time.
