"Of course I'm angry. I heard about what happened from the others. It was because of the recklessness that you got into this state," Mingyue said. This time, she didn't pull her hand away from him. "Who told you to make me worry."
During the few days she had stayed in the camp, Mingyue had heard about their expedition to save the minister's son and how Yang Yun fell down the hill to save his comrade, Yan Qing.
"I didn't do it on purpose. When I saw the sword flying towards Yan Qing, I acted on impulse." Yang Yun took a deep breath as he saw the unconvinced look on her face.
"You know that otherwise, I wouldn't put myself in danger. Or else," he pulled her closer. A mischievous smile appeared on his lips. "How am I supposed to marry you later?"
"Yang Yun! You!" Mingyue didn't finish her words.
When she heard the female soldiers accompanying her trying to hold their laughter, her face turned slightly red. Jiang Mingyue broke away and kept a distance from him.
She had forgotten that the female soldiers were with her! Her elder brother had sent them along as he was afraid that Yang Yun might try anything funny when they were left alone.
Yang Yun looked at her and frowned. "Then what about you? When you were injured the last time, I didn't say anything much." He lowered his tone as he did not want the two female to hear them.
Mingyue looked at him incredulously. She didn't expect him to speak of her injuries when she went up the mountain to look for herbs not so long ago.
Yang Yun pulled her hands to draw her closer. "I was worried too, you know."
She lowered her gaze and looked at him meekly. Her gaze told him not to blame her for the last time she got hurt.
In the end, Yang Yun helplessly took a deep breath and held up both hands. He could never win an argument whenever she gave him that look.
"Alright. I'll recuperate well and listen to whatever you say." He smiled when she didn't respond. "Can I have something to eat? I'm starving. At this point, I might as well die from hunger."
Mingyue grabbed a bowl from the tray and handed it to Yang Yun. "I make some porridge for you. You have been unconscious for days. It would be good for you to eat something light for your stomach."
Yang Yun stared at the bowl, then to Mingyue. "I'm injured. Why don't you feed me?"
She stared at him and narrowed her eyes dangerously. "Your legs are injured, but your hands are completely fine!"
