Chapter 14 - Covidocalypse

The leaves rustling down the street

The wind a gentle whisper

The clouds that turtle forward

The driveways all a bustle.

Garages hiding treasure troves

of secrets left unsaid

The people all a panicked

Live 6 feet apart and distanced.

Half the world believes its ending

and half are foolishly brave

Taunting those who have loved and lost

Those who have met their ending days.

Life goes on

Regardless of our losses

The world continues turning

Ignoring what it costs us.

The debt of shutting down for two weeks

Far greater than the burden

Of a society slowly churning

Sinking deeper in the madness.
