"Lord Admiral we have lost the Radiant to a salvo of anti-matter missiles," an officer quickly sounded off as he went back to his seat. The Admiral sat down quietly in his chair as he contemplated about his mission.
"Lord Admiral we have a communication line with the heretics,"
A screen popped up displaying a tired Dave staring down the Lord Admiral.
"Hello I believe you are looking for this," Dave stated as he held up a shiny bright yellow crystal. Its radiant splendor dazzled the crewman as they stared at it. The Lord Admiral displayed fanaticism as he focused his eyes on the crystal and clearly responded with," What so you want heathen,".
Dave smiled at that remark and said," A contract sworn under The God of Oaths,".
The Lord Admiral then cracked a small frown as he broke his eyes away from the crystal. Breaking such a contract would cause the God of Oath Jaden to become a sworn enemy. "What are the terms of this contract?".
"Free passage to my Corporation's HQ, and in return I trade this crystal," Dave said as he pulled a gun towards the crystal.
The Lord Admiral's face turned emotionless as he replied," Enough talk heathen your deals do not tempt me. Consider your quick death a mercy,".
And with that the connection was cut and the Armada started to fly into the range of the orbital defenses. Dave slightly groaned in pain as Elms of power surged from his pores into the surrounding air. The energy permeated the machines and golems increasing their speed. The mass fire from flaming wrecks of small ships that wandered into the range of the defenses did little to slowdown the onslaught of the colossal capital ships of the Templar. Leviathans were jokes compared to these ships that boasted the highest level of technology the galaxy had seen.
Dave was now in his bunker. The corvette had now been stripped, and the remains used to construct the underground bunker kilometers below the surface. Dave knew this wasn't enough as the bunker started to shake from the orbital bombardments. The Templar scanners were being jammed by Dave however the Templar simply bombarded the entire planet. The capital ships blotted out the sun as massive craters jotted the landscapes. Mountains were leveled, and oceans were being emptied. Finally they spotted the wreckage causing the Templars to fire missiles. Trails of smoke traveled for hundreds of kilometers before reaching the smoking site of the wreck. Explosions ripped the ground open only to reveal more dirt. The bunker shuddered and cracked. Dave stayed cool, as he sweated bullets. His eyes welded to the monitor displaying the base's various components. Bright green shifted to orange constantly, while the orange went red. As the rumbling continued, Dave finally announced," Open the shutters,".
Patches of dirt were torn up in a kilometer radius around the corvette's crash sight. Rows of turrets revealed themselves as they opened fire. The missiles were blown away by point defenses. The Templars started to get closer for more effective shots with their cannons instead. Dave sighed in relief as the opening mechanism had worked. He had earned a breather, while the Lord Admiral up in space had a frown painted across his pale white face.
