—Lord Admiral—
My objective for this mission is in sight. However this resilient heathen appears to be a high level Mechanic. The ArchBishops have left many important shrines undefended for this mission, however now I am receiving reports of a corporation that this planet-side heathen belongs to. Reports of raids are coming in, and now I have to make a choice. May C'thun all mighty bless my soul as I claim this crystal. Our enemies will pay, however those shrines should be expendable.
"Lord Admiral Jacob, the Alpha Centauri Temple is under attack by the heathens. They are requesting our support to defend the Crystal of Knowledge.
This report is blasphemous. How could this puny corporation wield enough power to challenge the Temple? They must've gotten the empire's help. No matter I must finish up here while I still can. These heathens shall pay in time with their souls.
—Crazy Dave—
"Jesus Cocaine Christ," Dave swore as he prepared his weapons. Many would think of David as a gunner, however this was inaccurate. Dave smiled as he materialized two identical sheaths to his sides. He then pulled out a remote with a single button labeled "BOOOM".
Dave yelled out," Zebeck you piece of garbage this is the last favor I ever owe you,".
Dave armed a small pile of antimatter explosives. This was thousands of warheads straight from Dave's space containers stacked up in a messy pile. The automatons had dumped these weapons like toys, and Dave still treaded carefully around the pile before charging out to the outside. The air was filled with smoke. Craters littered the area while bright streaks of light started to arc towards Dave.
Dave raised his right arm and snapped.
He made a dumb grin, as he reminisced about why he had chosen his weapons.
Dave unsheathed his first bright blue sword and created an arc of pure energy. It sliced through the red hot slags of metal causing them to explode. Chain reactions took place in a wide arc in the sky causing a cloud to cover up most of the visibility. Dave smiled as this was the fun part of the game. Drop-ships were already headed towards Dave. The point defense was still online, and the Lord Admiral didn't want to waste time. A Y shaped drop-ship descended towards the ground. Out came a the pale male that Dave had a pleasant talk with merely hours ago.
No words were exchanged. Both sides knew what they wanted. David charged forward as the admiral warped in a mech.
Dave quickly analyzed and muttered," Titan class Mech, had two plasma guns, and a standard Templar defense matrix,".
Dave created a giant golem as a tank as he kept moving closer. Commanders usually were ranged classes, and this Lord Admiral was no exception. The Lord Admiral's mech braced it self as it fired its lasers. Dave created two metal discs in response which diverted the lasers towards his side while simultaneously breaking line of sight. Dave used a dash skill as he pulled up in front of the mech and performed a trademark duel wielding move.
"X-Scissor Slash!" Dave yelled out as he created an X shaped blade made of of Elms. The X cleaved through the mech leaving the cockpit untouched while all 4 limbs were cut off. Dave smiled like a junkie as he waited for the Admiral to get serious. The pale man slowly came out of the wreckage as he peered at a yellow skinned human standing in plane sight.
"It appears I should exchange the standard greeting fit for Celestials," the Lord Admiral called out.
Dave stayed silent as the Lord Admiral continued," unfortunately I am not a Celestial,". Dave frowned, and then he moved. Dave was now running like his life depended on it towards his bunker.
"You heathens must learn your place," The Lord Admiral stated as a fearsome aura now projected out of his body.
"Yup that's an Ascendant," Dave yelled into his mind as the nearby trees started to bend. A visible ripple started to appear around the Lord Admiral as he disappeared from his spot.
A crater soon followed right where Dave was causing Dave to use that blow to propel him the final distance into his bunker.
"Celestials can level continents, Ascendants can level planets," Dave said. This was the general guideline for the power spike.
Dave was gasping as the door shut behind him. His armor was shattered, and his swords were now just handles. His visor was full of red. Dave was tensing from the pain.
"Ten Percent my ass," Dave cried out as he pulled the the remote from his space storage. Dave gained a new calm as he finished venting. He turned around towards the entrance as a silent man walked in.
"Where is the crystal," the man stated pushing the full force of his Elms onto Dave.
Dave started to laugh while pulling out a crystal and clicking the button at the same time. The Lord Admiral teleported and was centimeters from grabbing the crystal causing Dave to doubt if he could pull it off. He then regained his calm as he snapped. He channeled his Elms into the crystal. The Lord Admiral grew visibly alarmed as Dave opened the flood gates draining him dry. The anti-matter started to tear open the base, all while Dave saw the world slow down. The hand grew closer and closer, but David thought he was watching at a hundredth of the normal speed."Crystal of Time," was Dave's last thoughts as the anti-matter blew through the Lord Admiral and Dave. The last known images released to the public showed a planet with 2/3rds covered by a dark hole. It was now more like a moon. The Temple never got its reinforcements while Zebeck sat in HQ smoking while whispering," That bastard did it,". He could almost hear the faint curses of Dave in his ear.
