She went to the place where the fashion show was held a few days ago to take her car which she left in the parking area on the night she fainted. She called Austin twice before starting her car while going to the office but his phone was switched off, she thought he must've forgotten to charge his phone. Her parents called her and told her that they won't be coming today since they were caught up by something. She called in the lunch hour but there was no response, his phone was still switched off, she called him again before going to bed and that continued for two days. On the third day after reaching home she took shower and then she called Justin to know about him.
"Hey sister, what made you call me in your busy schedule ?" he said in a tone of tease.
"Hey bro, shut up. Did you talk to Austin in these two days ?" she asked him and heard his laugh on the phone.
"Oh, how sad that you called me to ask about your boyfriend and not about me," he teased her and added, "No, I didn't."
"Oh okay. Atleast I called you," she replied and let a laugh out.
"Did you guys had fight already ?" he asked her.
"Could you please stop using your brain Justin ?" she said.
"I can't. I'll let you know if he calls me ," he said.
"I'm happy for you," he said, making her smile.
"Thankyou," she said in a gentle voice .
After ending the call, she fell on the bed with tears in her eyes, she texted Rachel since she wasn't able to control herself. It has been three days and there was no reply from him.
*It's been three days since I last spoke to him, his phone is still switched off.*
*Don't worry, he might be busy. There were times when your cousin ignored my texts and that too for one week.*
Rachel texted her back instantly.
*I guess, I'm over thinking.*
Jessica texted her back.
*Yes, you better better sleep now, everything will be fine. Good night ! *
Rachel texted her.
Jessica couldn't help herself from staring at her phone and looking at the messages she sent. But she felt Rachel was right, she thought of not thinking much and go to sleep.
Just when she was about to put her phone aside, her phone vibrated. It was Austin's message.
*Lock your door and come down *
It was around fifteen past ten, when he texted her.
Her heart felt relief when she saw his message. Without delaying she locked her door and immediately went down to see him.
He stood near his car and waited for her to come down, he saw her running towards him in a light blue sleeveless night gown which was till her knees.
"Missed me ?" he asked her when she came and stood in front of him.
Her eyes were swollen and were filled with tears but she didn't let them roll down on her cheeks, she could only nod as a yes to him.
Looking at her swollen face he regretted for not telling her anything about his plans. He decided not to repeat this mistake again.
"Thankgod you came back soon," she said to him.
"I told that I'd come back to you soon, didn't I ?" he said caressing her hair gently.
He came forward to stretch his arms around her to hug her.
Her head was rested on his chest, she heard his heart beating fast.
"I missed you," he said hugging her.
Then why did you switch off you phone, she said and hugged him back burying her head in his chest completely.
"I'm sorry," he replied.
Austin switched his phone off on purpose so that he could make things done faster in urge of meeting her soon but he never foresaw the consequences because of ignoring her texts. The work which would take a week to complete he managed to complete it within three days by making calls and asking other officials to complete the task given by him as soon as possible.
That's alright. I was afraid since you didn't text me or call me back, her voice was still trembling due to the fear of loosing him again.
He hugged her tightly making her feel better.
They hugged eachother for almost fifteen minutes and then Austin said, There's a place where I want to take you.
"I'll go and change my dress," she said but was stopped by him.
"Are you sure? You want me to come with you in my night dress ?" She asked him.
He nodded up and down saying yes.
She asked him in curious, "but where are we going ?"
"Some where far from here ," he said and told her to sit in the car.
He started the car after they both sat and wore the seatbelt.
Atleast tell me which side are we going , she said looking out through the window glass which was closed.
Looking at the direction they were good she understood that they weren't going to any restaurant.
"Listen to the songs ," he said and played the songs.
"Are you planning to kidnap me ?" she asked playfully.
"Since you asked me. I might consider your plan too," he said curving his lips upwards into a smile.
She didn't give him any reply but she just smiled and looked outside.
Her phone vibrated. It was a message from Rachel.
*Are you awake ? You fine now ?*
*He is back*
Jessica replied.
*That's surprising! * (Rachel's text)
*Yeah. I guess he directly came from the airport.*
Jessica texted.
*Looks like your guy is totally captivated by you*
Rachel texted her back .
*I don't know. I'll talk to you tomorrow*
Jessica sent a message to her.
* But I know. Trust your friend. Have a great night*
Rachel replied to her message along a wink emoji.
"What is she saying ?" Austin asked looking at her when there was a grin on her face .
"She said that you are totally captivated by me," Jessica replied .
"Oh!" was his only reply .
"Oh ? Should I take it as a yes or no," Jessica thought.
It was true that he was totally captivated by her the night he saw her for the first time.
It was almost twelve. The road was empty and it was thick dark and hazy, only the head lights were on through which Jessica could atleast see the road and the passing trees.
"How long will it take us to reach ?" Jessica asked him after looking at the time as they spent more than an hour in car.
"We are almost there," Austin replied and pulled the steering wheel to the right side and stopped the car.
"We reached ?" she excitedly unlocked the door and opened it to get down from the car.
"This is beautiful!!" she exclaimed stepping out of the car in wonder. Her eyes couldn't believe what she just saw.
