Chapter 46 - Acknowledgement

'What the heck?!!' Queen had her eyes wide opened as Quince's lips were on hers.

She didn't have time to think for long as Quince moved one of his hand up to wrap it around the back of her neck and held it close, successfully deepening the kiss.

Queen tried to wriggle out of his embrace, sadly to no avail. She felt her breath getting shorter and she was beginning to feel dizzy. She moved backwards and Quince followed right after.

'Splash!' The sound of the water echoed.

There was nothing behind Queen but the pool water. She fell into it, followed by Quince who wrapped her in his arms.

They both soon pulled up out of the surface. Quince seemed alright but Queen was struggling for her breath.

"You damn cat!" She took a deep breath before yelling at him. Luckily the pool wasn't deep, only till Queen's chest.

They were now standing in the pool, so close they could feel each other's breath on their face.

The sunset painted a perfect picture, as if the scene was out of a movie.

"What did you do that for?!" Queen demanded as she looked at Quince's face. She was really angry at what he did.

'Did he just kiss me? But why?' Queen was so confused about what happened. In her mind, they had always been friends and what he just did made her feel.....unbelievably strange. Strange and...good. Really good. It was making her crazy.

"Acknowledgement" Quince whispered as his face touched hers. He didn't give Queen a chance to ask anything further before closing the distance between them once more.

He wrapped his arms tightly around her body as he gave her another kiss. He couldn't seem to stop kissing her. She tasted so sweet to him, nothing could compare to it.

As for Queen, she was still surprised but she couldn't think straight anymore. His lips were soft and they tasted of the champagne he just drank, intoxicating her.

Her body, stiff at first, slowly molded to fit his and she leaned against him completely. She could barely stand on her own. Quince was lost in the soft touch and sweet smell that he was experiencing. He couldn't help wanting more.

Quince kissed her until Queen felt like she couldn't breathe anymore. She pulled his shirt and tried to struggle for breath.

Quince sensing her movement, reluctantly let her up for breath. Queen trembled and breathed heavily. She was trying her best to replace the oxygen he had stolen from her. Quince just stared at the beautiful sight in front of him.

He was in a daze as he stared at her blushing cheeks and shortened breath. Her golden eyes were slightly misty and her hands still clutched to his chest leaning on him for support. The orange ray of the sun shone directly on her reflecting the water that glistened on her caramel hair. She looked like an otherworldly being.

He loved every moment of it.

'Why isn't he affected?!' Queen thought as she slowly regained her breath. "You..." She tried to say but she was still panting.

"That's what comes after the test. The acknowledgment. We have now sealed the deal with the kiss. Congratulations Miss Vancroft, you're now officially my fiancée." Quince whispered against her lips before pulling her in for another kiss.

This time Queen was determined to make him feel out of breath. She was competitive by nature and would hate to be on the losing end. So she was prepared when Quince came down on her once more.

She wrapped her arms around Quince neck and kissed him back. Quince was surprised at her response and paused. Queen took that moment to give it her all in kissing him before she ran out of breath once more.

In the next moment, she suddenly felt him smile against her lips before kissing her back. This time they were both completely lost in the kiss. They were burning hot and created fireworks together.

"Poolioonnnnnn" The sound suddenly came out of the ship's speaker, alerting passengers that they were reaching the shore in 15 minutes.

Queen pulled herself away from Quince, startled at the sound. She was still in a daze and she could see that Quince looked like he was too as well. They both panted for breath, Queen needing the oxygen more than Quince.

They soon regained themselves and saw that they were still wrapped tightly around each other.

"So I guess we are now official." Queen grinned cheekily at him before moving to the side of the pool and hurriedly climbed out.

"I'm going to go change before we reach." She said nonchalantly before walking away leaving Quince behind.

Quince just watched her go and let out a very masculine smile after. His dimples were showing as he thought of what he just saw.

Even though Queen acted nonchalant as she bid him goodbye, her cheeks were burning red the whole time.
