Light shone through the door gap once more as another person entered the room.
The unknown person quietly shut the door. This time the footsteps were hurried.
The person quickly walked over to the bedside. As soon as the person on the bed became visible, the unknown stranger gasped in shock.
"No way....you really died." That person whispered. Queen and Quince could see his silhouette, it was that of a man. His whole body shook and his hands were fisted as if he was barely containing his rage.
This man too sobbed quietly at the bedside. Occasionally, he would let out a small wail filled with despair. Quince immediately blew the powder at his shoes like how he did for the previous person.
Queen would feel quite sad for the sobbing man but at this moment she just couldn't. She was sweating too hard too care.
'God damnit! I thought his embrace was warm! And that was already weird because he only has that icy look on his face. But right now, I feel like I'm hugging fire even though this man is the coldest person I've ever met!'
Queen began wriggling, wanting to free herself from Quince. Quince wouldn't let her go and in no time they were playing silent tug of war with one pushing and one pulling.
"Stop it! You're gonna get us caught at this rate!" Quince whispered, his lips lightly brushing against her ear, eliciting a slight shiver from her.
"But it's so hot! Let me go!" Queen whispered right back, before putting more strength in her struggle. The silent tug of war continued, accompanied by the sobbing of the man as a background sound. Anyone who saw this scene would definitely find it comical.
'Pak!'
As soon as the sound ended, Queen stopped wriggling. She started trembling instead.
"You ducking cat....did you just?!!!" Queen was so angry she could have slapped him. Luckily, she still had the presence of mind to whisper.
"Stay still." Quince whispered against her ear before patting her rear.
"You....you.....!" Queen couldn't continue her words. His actions made her even angrier. This bastard just spanked her butt! On top of that he's patting it as if he's trying to console her! How dare he treat her like a child!!!
At that moment, Queen saw red. In the blink of an eye, she pushed herself up whilst lying on the floor, before biting his shoulder.
'Hmghs' Quince hissed as he tried to control his voice. 'Why is she biting him as if she's a dog?!'
He tried pushing her away, but to no avail.
"If you don't stop biting me, I'm going to pin you down. You will suffocate for real this time." Quince whispered coldly, while trying to control himself to not wince from the pain.
Queen immediately let go of his shoulder. "Bloody Cat! How dare you threaten me!" Queen hissed.
Before Quince could reply, the background sobbing suddenly stopped. The couple beneath the bed immediately stiffened. Queen face was still on Quince shoulder. Quince used one hand to press at the back of her head while wrapping the other around her waist, forming a protective shield around her body. They both kept quiet as they waited for the man's movement.
The man began pacing back and forth. "No, No! This is not possible. He couldn't possibly have! No! No!" He began saying. He sounded so agitated, like he was truly troubled by the incident.
"No! I must go ask him!" He shouted before hurrying out the door.
Quince and Queen still laid on the floor listening to any movements from outside.
After a while, when they couldn't hear a thing, Queen began moving.
And like before, Quince held her tight.
"Someone may still come in." He whispered.
"Unlikely! Two men already came in! There won't be a third!" Queen yelled out without whispering this time.
Quince immediately twisted himself so her body laid beneath his, before clasping one hand over her mouth.
"Sshhhh! Can't you behave even for 5 minutes?!" Quince stared down at her as he whispered. Queen could feel his breath on her face, not to mention....their ambiguous position. It was certainly making her dizzy.
Since she couldn't speak she started hitting him with her hands. Quince immediately grabbed both her hands with one of his before pushing them up above her head.
"Stop moving!" Quince struggled to say. She wriggled so much that it was waking up something in him.
Queen stopped moving. Not because she understood what was going on but simply because she couldn't move anymore. His weight pressed down on her body, rendering any other movement useless on her part.
'Bloody bastard! Just you wait! I will get you back for this!' Queen swore in her heart.
A few moments passed before Quince loosened her hands. He didn't dare let go yet as he could see the murder blazing in her eyes. 'She calls me mister cat, but she's actually a wild cat herself.'
Quince kept his eyes on her as he slowly let go of her, keeping up his guard against her possible attack.
As soon as he was about to completely let her go, the door creak opened.
Queen soon felt his familiar weight right back on her body. 'Bloody duck! This plot is getting old!!!!' Queen cursed vehemently and swore to have her revenge on everyone that made her suffer.
