"Report..."
A voice sounds out, a feminine one, coming from a woman in a black lab coat. Her sleek long hair drawn out onto the back of her chair. As she looked over a few sheets of paper, she adjusts her glasses as the moon light shining over her open air, pavilion. A metallic humanoid appears behind her.
"Ma'am, they have found the lost candidate..."
The woman then turns her chair in a full 180, she then smiles when she saw the full details about candidate No. 40's ability, or more appropriately...
"No. 40, [Soul taker] is his current ability, but no matter how many times I try..." She opens up a holographic window below her hands, and swiped around something she labelled 'Skill Tree' as she found the 'Necrotic' and 'Stacking' ability types, and at the lower roots of the skill tree, laid the word [Soul Taker]...
[Soul Taker]
Average Statistics;
Skill Grade: D-, Damage type: Necrotic, CD: 5 seconds, Duration: Instantaneous, Range: 30 meters
Verbal, Somatic, and optionally requires Materials.
Passive(lvl. 1): Allows the collection of 'Soul Essence', which is released upon the death of any organic creature. If 'Soul Essence' is collected by the owner of this skill, or any of it's familiars, they will gain a small increase to their current stats, as well increase their capacity to gain them upon reaching an essence threshold. Upon reaching (lvl. 3), the user can use the 'Soul core' of any creature in order to forcibly move them at 15 ft. (+5 ft. per level), (+20 ft. per 100 'Soul essence')
The more this ability is used, and the more souls collected(Approx. 500 lbs. of 'Soul essence'), this ability can level up. Once this ability reaches lvl. 20, or captures 5 elemental 'Soul cores', this ability turns into [Soul Taker II], or if the latter occurs, the holder gains the [Elemental essence] ability.
Active(lvl. 1): If any organic creature enters a weakened, critical state, or does not have enough hitpoints, they can be executed through soul rupture. Ripping out their "Soul" directly from their bodies. However, if the creature doesn't have enough hitpoints, their bodies will burn from the rupture. Leaving nothing organic behind...
If targeting Inorganics, or higher health targets, they will be ignited and be dealt 8 burn damage per second instead, and starting from (lvl. 2), the target is slowed down based off their weight and material type...
"Hmm, Isn't [Soul Taker] a low-level half-demon's skill?" She then takes a quick look again at candidate No. 40's statistics, and then sees his race "He's a half-demon?" She then rubs her temples, and puts the page down. As she looks at her metallic assistant once more, and smiles lovingly as she then says: "Borris, I think you need to keep an extra eye on this one..."
...
"So, you say you've found Sora?" Yuuki said, "It has been confirmed Yuuki, this specific Individual is definitely the same Sora who we've lost over the past months..." Leon, the burly boy who donned heavy, full-plate armor and held behind him a double-edged War Axe. Stella, the classroom's treasurer and current accountant of the Circle of Heroes, a recently established order of people with extra-ordinary abilities.
"Well, where is he?!" Micah pushes through the crowd nearby, "Where is he?! I thought the best from the Circle of Heroes would be able to find someone who couldn't have gotten fa-"
"The Circle of Heroes? that is the worst name for a band of heroes I've ever heard..." A person from the supply caravan sounds out, and then everyone from the classroom sounds out as they heard the snarky remark. Yuuki then puts on a wry smile, as Leon says: "Yep, that sounds like Sora alright..."
"Shiro, would you kindly bring out our friend? From that cart over there?" Stella ordered Shiro, and Shiro trudged over towards the cart as He puts his hand into the cart and pulled out the head of a Black-haired boy over the age of 17, and then throws his tied body onto the ground "He's also got a, pretty friend..." As he pulls out another person from the cart, She bore a beautiful pear-like body shape and her bust-size being relevantly average. But that didn't stop Shiro from drooling over her and carrying her like down like a gentleman instead of being thrown down like her master was dealt with.
However, the moment Shiro hits the ground. Sora's slave suddenly kicked Shiro in the face and to Sora's surprise. She manages to land on her feet, and bites free from her constraints, looking cool in the process. And by instinct, Sora felt something weird as his slave turned her head towards him. And he could already tell what is about to be unleashed upon him. As guards attempted to swarm Sora's slave, she jumped and dodged through their sharp and pointy spears. As she lands and faces Sora directly in his face.
"Uh, I can explain?" She scowled and pulls Sora out of Leon's tight grip, which left him surprised. "So? you are the great heroes?" She looks at them with sweet smile, while Sora's pathetic body was tightly held by a clenched hand. "I'm sorry the inconvenience me and my master might have caused, but as his servant and slave. I shall take full responsibility of my master's punishments..." they all gulped as she mentioned the word: 'Slave'
"Sora has a slave?" One of his classmates behind Yuuki said
"Disgusting" Leon backs up "Sora, you didn't actually-" Micah attempted to speak, but was only greeted later with an angry voice, from Sora "You little brat! Why did you apologize! and Why did you not play along and just wai-" His slave smacks him on the head, and then says: "Silence master, It was you who got us into this problem in the first place, If you had not cast your [Soul Taker] spell, Ms. Stella might've not returned to check on the area in the first place..."
Stella was then left surprised as well, 'This woman...' She then puts a hand over her shoulder and says "Say, would you and your 'Master' like to stay for a while. There are some things we must ask of him..." Yuuki then butts in and says "Sora!" He screamed out loud like a valiant Hero, which he is. Considering he is the Valiant Hero of the Sword, as he heard earlier from most of the guards.
I began profusely holding in my laugh, as I was currently being held by my slave from my waist. And not to mention, all I was wearing was some leather pads that I call armor on several crucial body parts. And a short sword hat I call a weapon, whilst my slave girl only had a long sword and yet she managed to kick these guards' asses earlier when we were attempting to escape these pathetic heroes.
And here I couldn't think that the situation could get worse, a prominent howl with the deafening decibel levels entered the town's range. And like a monster approaching to destroy us, A massive White-wolf fades into view, his flame-red paws and a low growl marked his entrance into this city. Followed by a dwarf holding a sword, who seemed out of breath. On the back of the wolf, There was a little girl, who seemed very familiar...
"Oi! What did we say about getting yourselves into trouble!" Arthur says out loud as he tried catching his breath, the guards stood their ground, but they were afraid of the mighty behemoth that they thought was just a large wolf. They seem to be afraid of something, like they know the creature itself and It's capabilities...
"Stand your ground, we shall swiftly-"
"That's, that's the great white wolf of legend! The Fenrir!" One of the soldiers pointed out, and immediately the rest crumbled like dust, whilst the heroes remained calm. Yuuki grits hi teeth "A legendary beast?" Feru then growled loudly against Yuuki, and says "Call me a beast once more little mortal, you are not the first nor the last to call me by that..." He said while the winds around us picked up much quicker.
Arthur puts the sword back in his scabbard and then scratches Feru's thick, furry neck "There, there I'm sure these pitiful humans didn't call you such demeaning names..." The little girl, Tessa. Also began scratching his neck "Aww, don't worry Snowy, mommy and I will share you some cookies when we get back to the town..."
"Pit-pitiful?!" Shiro stomps up towards Arthur "I'll have you know that I'm the greatest sorcerer around these parts pal! and I'm not having some dirty hobo and his filthy mutt be the end of-" I instinctively jumped out of my slave's hold and cupped my hand over his mouth, before Feru got any ideas...
"Filthy mutt, FILTHY MUTT?!" The winds blew so hard that everyone surrounding Feru, including Tessa, got knocked far away from him, fortunately, my slave girl has experience in catching high-velocity object coming at her in a straight line. He pounded a paw into the ground next to Shiro, and his eyes and jaw spewing out hot, red flames. "Real heroes should be taught some proper degree of courtesy..." As Shiro was faced with the thought of his imminent demise. However, I called out to Feru and said "Feru, that bastard ain't worth it, He can't even hold a sword..."
And like he responded well, He raised his head and doused his flames, as the wind died down and everything returned to a more peaceful scenario. "Hmph! You and your slave must be punished for being such annoying students..." Feru then looked at me dead in my eyes and picked me up with his mouth, and tossed me onto his back, he did the same with Tessa, Arthur and My slave. Right before slowly walking away from the Heroes and the guards of this town, although we were stopped by something else.
"Halt! As the most powerful mages of Golden Wind academy, we shall demonstrate our magical prowess in elemental magic!" The leading girl, who seemed really familiar, let loose an inferno of flames in a for of a wave, Incinerating everything It touched "Hey! You almost burned our-" I then noticed that me and my slave were barely even touched, in fact, the wave of flame passed. But we were left unharmed. "I-incredible..." that was the only thing that left Yuuki, Shiro, Stella, Leon, Tessa, The student's and Even my own mouth, but Arthur was just standing there unharmed. At first I wondered why he only looked a little scorched and then I recalled dwarves being unnaturally resistant to fire. Both magical and non-magical, so he just practically tanked it like it was the sun's everyday shine, Feru then said: "Ugh, humans..."
Arthur sighed and said "Yeah, they really are weak as hell..." He said as he pulled out a small pint of chalk and then scribbled a small circle beneath him and said in dwarven: "Activate circle; Teleportation!" And then disappeared, as Feru tried to simply walked away, Yuuki and the heroes then stood in front of Feru, tried to stop us.
"Hold on Sora! You aren't getting away that easy again!"
