Jiang Tianming's eyes bore into her's like a judge. "That night, you tore apart my robes." Feng Ting's face turned red.
His voice turned silken soft. "You got on top of me." She resisted the urge to bury her face into her hands. Jiang Tianming moved toward her.
He whispered in her ear. "Your hands touched my bare shoulders, arms, chest, trailing down . . . " His warm breath tickled her ear.
Feng Ting slammed her hands over her ears, face crimson. Her voice turned tiny, stuttering. "That . . . not . . . no . . . why didn't you stop me?!"
Jiang Tianming paused. "You managed to take down a squad of my elite bodyguards. How could I resist you?"
Feng Ting gaped. She felt like there was something wrong to this story, but his expression made her swallow her protests.
She hung her head. "I'm sorry."
On the inside, Jiang Tianming was triumphant, but his expression remained bleak.
Feng Ting pushed her fingers together. "Um, CEO Jiang, this really is my fault, but I really don't want to marry you. I mean, you don't even like me right?"
Jiang Tianming looked at her seriously. "Ever since that night I couldn't stop thinking about you."
Feng Ting blinked. So he wasn't gay? Wait, that's not important right now.
She shook her head. "That's just physical attraction! Lust in the moment. Just like you, I would feel the same toward you or any other attractive person." Once Jiang Tianming heard this sentences, his face turned darker than a burnt pot.
"I'm sure there's lots of women in the city that would love to marry you. Why not choose someone else?" She continued rambling, mind racing all over.
Seeing her flustered and panicked state, Jiang Tianming couldn't tease her any further. He looked at her seriously. "Then be my girlfriend."
Feng Ting's mind paused and she ran the words over again in her mind.
Jiang Tianming continued. "To be frank Miss Song, my family has been urging me to get married. I have only found an interest in you. If I were to marry any random person off the streets as you suggests, it would not be believable to them. However, you and I have a backstory."
Feng Ting mind whirled. "Which is why it be believable."
"Yes, however, since you refuse to get married, we can being a relationship first. Actually, that would be more realistic should we marry. Or it would be a way to divert my family's attention from marriage until I find a suitable partner."
Feng Ting tapped her fingers, deep in thought. "I understand now. Hmm, I would pretend to be your girlfriend of sorts."
Jiang Tianming held her gaze. "Take it as a request for what happened." Hmm, since flash marriage was a no go, he'll just integrate himself into her life until she couldn't live without him.
Feng Ting stood up. "I will consider it. Give me time." This sort of request actually wasn't very difficult to fulfill. And she did owe him.
"Fine. I hope to hear you decision soon Miss Song." Feng Ting grabbed the door handle. "Also, I will see you here everyday this week for lunch. Just come up directly."
" . . . Fine."
. . .
At her apartment in Lotus Residency, Feng Ting floated in the pool.
Playing girlfriend to a wealthy tycoon was an relatively simple task. It wasn't exactly difficult, but the drama that could arise would be terrible annoying.
And she was going to do it long term. . .
Ah, it shouldn't be hard, but it would be troublesome. . .
Ring!! Feng Ting drifted over and put her phone on speaker. "Hello?"
"Hello Miss Song, I am Director Huang from Skyfall Productions."
"Who?" Feng Ting didn't recall knowing this person from her memories.
"I am a friend of your uncle, Yang Cai Kang. I heard your piano piece at the gala a few nights ago so I asked him for your number. I would like to sincerely invite you to be an extra in my movie."
Feng Ting laughed. "Director Huang, I'm not an actress. This request of yours is a little strange don't you think?"
"Actually, our lead actress requested that we bring you on. She was extremely impressed by your skills at the gala. She is very adamant about it, stating she wouldn't continue filming if we didn't cast you." His voice sounded pleading.
"You wouldn't need acting skills. All you have to do is play the piano, a duet with a violin. We would reimburse you for your time."
Feng Ting wanted to laugh. What was with the list of bizarre requests this week? First she got set up on a blind date, a tycoon proposed to her, and now someone wanted to cast her into a movie?? So random!
This actress was pretty willful too, wanting to risk a film for her, a stranger. She wasn't even an actress.
Wait . . . an actress? Feng Ting blinked. Actually . . . this style of doing things . . . hehe.
Feng Ting mind flashed. "You said the leading actress requested this?"
"Yes."
Feng Ting smiled. "Send me the date and time. I'll be there."
