The event went on smoothly and soon everyone left after enjoying heartily and introducing themselves to Rudra.
Tonight all of them were quite surprised to see their Dr. Anaya in her new avatar. It was as if she was a completely different person from what they knew. But they understood that it was only because she was with her friend that she showed this carefree side of her which they thoroughly liked.
They were glad to meet Dr. Rudra, who could bring out this side of Anaya. They also got the idea of the depth of their friendship. Many of them even wondered if they were just friends or something else. Whatever it was, they would see it in the future.
After everyone left, the only remaining were Rudra, Anaya, Dheer, and his two friends.
Just as they were about to leave, Anaya found out that Rudra was living in a hotel for now as he didn't have time to look for any accommodation due to his busy schedule. So she decided to share her apartment with Rudra for the time being.
Dheer was against the idea and offered Rudra to move into his apartment. No matter how much he hated the guy, he couldn't leave him to live alone with his 'wife'.
"Naa, I'll be staying with my ducky... I don't know you that well so I'll not be comfortable" was Rudra's reply.
Dheer was extremely agitated hearing his reply but was unable to show anything on his face. He could only smile and say "Oh, then you can come to my place anytime you want help. After all, Anaya's friend is also my friend." Only God knew how he managed to say those lines with that welcoming smile plastered on his face.
He couldn't force Rudra to move with him when they just met. He didn't have any right. Besides, if he implied that it was not good for a guy and a girl to share an apartment, it would only prove him as some petty judgemental conservative person which he didn't want to be seen as. Especially not in front of Anaya. So he could only suppress his displeased emotion.
With this, the day was over and everyone went to their abodes to tread their fatigue.
The next day was a Sunday and all of them had a holiday. So Elisa decided that it was a good day to go shopping with her friends and while they were at it they'll create some opportunity for Dheer and Anaya.
After talking with others they all arrived at Dheer's apartment to talk to him about this idea.
*knock knock*
*knock knock*
Even after knocking for a few minutes, Dheer didn't answer the door.
"That idiot, what's he doing that he is not answering" Elisa fumed.
"I think he's having a dream again. Remember last time, he didn't wake up even after we tried so hard and almost ruin Rehan's integrity. It must be it." Arav said.
They had entered his apartment as they all knew his password to the door but they didn't barge into his room respecting his privacy, especially now when their wives were with them.
"Must you bring my name every time you mention his dreams" Rehan complained to which Arav just shrugged and chuckled "it's fun to tease you and see your face every time that incident is mentioned. It's indescribably funny."
Rehan harumphed and was about to retort when Sam stopped them "Okay enough with the teasing. We need to talk to Dheer before we invite Anaya for today. And we need to do it quickly before Anaya plans something else with her friend."
They all agreed to his point and had no option but to barge into his bedroom. Elisa wanted to see how he behaved and his reactions when having those dreams so she too tagged along. And so did Aisha and Eva.
However, just as they opened the door, they all were speechless with the scene before them.
"Huh guys, why is there a huge lizard in Dheer's room?" Eva finally broke the silence after a good few seconds, still looking at the scene in front.
"Not just a huge lizard, it also looks like a human, okay?" Elisa said next, still unable to look away from the scene.
"Not just like a human, he also looks like Dheer" Aisha said next.
The other three guys were also speechless, with what they were seeing in front of them.
Dheer was stuck to the wall opposite his bed just like a lizard. His ear completely plastered to the wall as if it was a part of the wall. Judging from his appearance, one could tell that he didn't sleep a wink the whole night. Huge eyebags were enhancing the beauty of his face making him more like a panda than a human.
"Dheer, what the hell are you doing?" Arav asked finally.
Dheer turned towards them ever so slightly, still maintaining his stance of the ear with the wall.
"Eavesdropping."
