"Eavesdropping! What else do you think? Anaya and that person are under the same roof. Even though I know that they are just friends and I trust my Anaya, I can't let it be. What if that person has a sudden change of heart? I can't wait for something to happen before I help her out. So that's why I've been eavesdropping" answered Dheer still trying to hear the things happening next door.
Everyone -_-
"Ahh.. Dheer, you do realize that my company was the one who built this building and renovated your apartment right?" Rehan asked.
"Yes, I know.. So what?" Dheer replied irritatedly.
"And you also realize that we always made the apartments soundproof so that the possessors don't have to face any problems, don't you? And as you were the one buying this apartment, you made me install double soundproofing systems on all the apartments on this floor so that you won't even know if someone is having a party with ear piecing songs on loudspeakers. You didn't want to hear even a little of their noise. You do remember this right?" Rehan asked irked.
"Yes, and it's all your fault that I can't hear a thing happening there even though I tried all night. Why did you do such a good job? You are so not worthy of your job" Dheer finally fully turned towards Rehan and said accusingly.
Rehan -_- 'Dude did you even hear me say that it was you who made me do it? Fine!!'
"It's my fault" Rehan admitted. 'It was my fault that I listened to you at that time. I won't ever heed any of your advice from now on and use my own judgment' he silently vowed flaring his nostrils.
"Why are there so many glasses of different sizes and materials? And even mugs? Dheer what were you doing with these?" Eva asked as she looked around.
"Oh, that! When I couldn't hear anything I tried using those things to eavesdrop as they show in movies, by sticking glass to a wall. But sadly that failed too" Dheer said pouting.
"Then why are you sticking yourself to the wall like a lizard when you know that it'll not work out, you idiot" Elisa shouted.
"I can't sit doing nothing about it. I have to try at least. You never know that there may be a crack somewhere in the wall" came a curt reply.
His friends smacked their heads on hearing his answer.
"Dheer, may I ask you one more question?" Aisha asked in a faint voice.
"Shoot" Dheer said.
"Who made you the CEO of your company? Isn't he afraid that you'll ruin the company?"
Before Dheer could answer, Arav butted in "Don't ask that baby. He's been ruling the business world since he took over the business and is sitting on the throne of the number one businessman since then. Although no one knows his face and his real name, many businessmen look up to him and want to marry their daughters to him. He took Obeori Empire to new heights." He said shaking his head. Even he wondered how was this possible.
Elisa pointed towards Dheer and turned to Arav "Are you sure, you are talking about him?"
When Arav turned towards Dheer, he wanted to cry. 'God!! Dheer why are you doing this. People will think I'm lying through my teeth.' Dheer had again plastered himself back to the wall without a care of the world.
"It's because you girls haven't seen him working. He's a completely different person at work. He's like those CEOs that you see and read about in novels. If I may say, even better than them. It's just only with us that he's like an idiot. But he's quite decisive at work unlike the matter of his heart." Sam sighed as he answered them. He had long given up to instill some sense in him. How come someone so good at almost everything be so dumb when it came to love.
"Sam, are we doing the right thing by helping him in courting Anaya? Don't you feel like we are doing wrong by her? Do you think this creature is a match for Anaya at all." Eva asked pointing out to Dheer who was still trying to eavesdrop sincerely without caring what his friends were discussing about.
"I've suddenly started to pity Anaya." Rehan added pinching his brows.
