Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

It's finally my 8th birthday in this new world I reincarnated. Despite 8 sounding like a random number that thee writer came up with while trying not to mess up the continuity, it is a very important age for any kid that comes from a noble family as it means that they now have to enter the royal academy for schooling and while it is possible to skip it and just be tutored at home I figured out that pretending to be retarded to the whole school would be less stressing on my anxiety than staying with some weird old dude alone in a room for a few hours day and having to speak to him. Anyway after the training I did with my parents ever since I was able to walk I shouldn't have any actual problems in term of ability compared to the other kids, the problem lies in another thing and yes, that thing is Slimy since he won't go back to wherever the staff brings it from and it acts like a puppy seeking attention but also because slimes are considered monsters and some shitty brat might actually try to hurt it. If that were to happen than I'd snap his neck but I'd rather stay not a child murderer. Were any other significant events this year? Not really besides the death of the demon king and a small holy war that started for seemingly no reason. Eh, it's a fantasy world so it's probably just the normal thing around here. In the end while I realize this is not a joking matter I can't do anything about it, I'm just a slime summoner not some hero, I have no idea why I was brought here and I will probably die not knowing. As my previous life flashed once more in front of my eyes, knocking could be heard from the door. My mother gently opened the door and called for me to come with her. We went into my father's office. This was the only room in the whole mansion I was forbidden to enter and the only moments I ever saw father being serious about something was when he came into this room. When we entered the room we sat down on a sofa that, most likely was brought here either for guests or for father to nap on it.

Father came before me as mother stood at his side, they both looked at me in a serious manner.

Finally after a moment of silence, he started talking.

-Sora, you know we love you and only wish for the best to happen to you, right?

I nodded.

-You see, while this might sound like a weird idea right now, you'll understand why we are going to do this, maybe not now but in the future.

He caught my attention.

-We will be moving to Yafrenia, and we will live near the capital so for now you won't need to attend the royal academy and your mother will tutor you at home. When you become sixteen you will start attending the Grand Academy there.

I am not sure what to think of right now. Should I be happy because I do not have to go to school and meet people for another 8 years or should I be worried that we are going to a country that is now ruled by a ten year old?
